Does anyone know if they have cruise specific autograph books available once you are out of port?
Thanks,
Charleen

don't remember seeing them - just the ones they use in the parks....anyone else?:confused3

OK, back to this topic again.... :scratchin

now, is this bringing 'a' beer or lots of beer? With liquor they take it away from you if you buy it in port and dont give it back till you're getting off the boat.... beer doesnt work that way? you can just take beer back on with you?

Also, how does the liquor store on the boat work, do you actually get to have that stuff on the boat if you buy it from them?

:drinking1
If you buy liquor at ports - they save it for you. If you buy at the onboard store - they save it for you. I have heard that you can buy beer at ports and carry it back on board - but I don't have first hand knowledge of that... Wine they let you carry back on board...

I'm NOT READY yet!:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:
I like this time, when it is close, but not here yet. I'm so scared this cruise is just going to fly by....so i want to take time NOW.:grouphug::grouphug:
Plus, i totally stress over packing (well, yea, my husband does the packing, but, good grief, I must still pick out my clothing and realize none of them fit!):sad2::sad1::sad2::sad1::sad2::sad1:

Lissa...what do you teach again? I think I need a nap after reading about your day.

I used to teach 3 year-olds at a church school three times a week for only 2.5 hours a day. There were days I kept asking my assisstant "This is a church, there's got to be wine somewhere!" It was a lot of fun though. I miss the little ones.

The kids I teach are between the ages of 4-8. Some of them would normal be in a public school but because of their needs they are not quite ready for the transition yet.

For the birkis I just went to amazon.com and did a search using birkis Disney. They are a little expensive though.

I think my students have gone insane. I now have a lovely bruise on my stomach where I had akid come running full force at me with his head. July 1st can not get here soon enough.

You see what I've been telling you all, I'll take my High School students, ANYDAY!!!!!! :worship:

I could never teach high school students they talk back way to much and most are taller than me. My students are a handful to say the least but there is that time during the day during nap when they all look like angels. There are also great moments like early this morning when i was getting a little boy off the bus. Up until today he had never said a word as I reached up to take him from the assistant on the bus he said hi. To say the least we were both a little shocked. It's those moments that make the rest of the day doable. Of course we always joke that we need hazard pay due to flying objects and other attacking children.

Check the first message it lists the meets and stuff. Above is the link to the shirts that Virgil setup for us to purchase.

Hope this helps!

Just to get back to the beer discussion........I'm pretty sure you can bring beer on the ship when you board.......the expert on this is Lucy! Lucy, can you clarify?:rotfl2:(I'm actually serious!)

Hmm.... interesting. I was hoping if you bot liquor in the store onboard you got to drink it... thats silly to pay normal liquor store prices just to get it once the cruise is over.

Heres a quote from DCL's FAQ section
"Alcohol is permitted onboard. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried on board in a day bag and/or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep. Guests who request a Wine Steward to open and serve a bottle of champagne, wine or liquor that has been brought onboard will be charged a corking fee of $15.00 per bottle.

Please be advised: Disney Cruise Line® reserves the right to remove fragile items (including beverages) from luggage. In such cases, items will be stored and returned at the end of the voyage. Beverage containers are considered fragile and have previously caused damage in checked luggage."

Makes it sound like you can bring anything on as long as its not in your 'checked luggage' or in a non-fragile bottle. There are customs limitations it seems, but as long as you drink it all while you're on the boat, it doesnt seem like it would cause problems....

It doesn't seem to matter if you have glass bottles in your carry-on bag. We had a soft sided cooler full of beer and wine cooler bottles. Of course the cooler didn't fit through the secruity x-ray unless turned on its side. When I put it on the side there was a LOT of clinking going on. The security lady smiled and asked if there was ice in it. When I said no she said ok. That was it.

Hi all!! Anyone flying on SW should check their fares - I got a good fare this morning, and have been religiously checking every day. Best one I have seen so far.

I will keep an eye out, but with free baggage and convenience of BWI vs. DC or Philly, I will take it.

The prices in the store are cheaper than normal - as you don't have to pay the federal taxes and such... thus the reason for the limit on what you can bring back...

Hey everyone,

I am trying to get my list together for my FE. I copied the list on the 1st post as well as the one on the most recent posts. There are 20 families that are NOT on the FE list. Is that correct? Thanks :flower3:

True, but my question is why dont they let you have it on the ship?

I dont want to buy it to bring back, I want to buy it to make drinks... :confused3

I guess if they let me do that, I wouldnt be buying drinks in the bar for $5-6 a piece.
