Two more tasks completed today - Magical Express and dining plan - all taken care of. Now I need to finalize our grocery order. Oh, I also ordered my FE. I was going to make it myself but I just didn't see when that would happen so I decided to just to buy one. I ordered from the lady on ebay who makes them to order.

I also called DCL and ordered birthday decorations for our room. The 18th is DH's birthday. :bday:

ah, NO, I'll take my life right now - only getting ready for a prom tomorrow night - and since it is a boy that must get ready - that will take 5 minutes!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Just hope it doesn't rain for pictures.:sad2::sad2:

Wendy - glad to hear someone else in MY category:woohoo::woohoo:

Lisa - about time we heard some GOOD news around here:hug:

Let me be the first to remind everyone: :grouphug:

Monday is the 18th - only TWO more months till our cruise
:cool1::banana::woohoo::yay::dance3::cheer2:

OK, I'm in.

I'm still trying to figure out how we're going to get to the airport to fly down. The guy who usually takes us is moving so I'm looking at:

1. Getting a limo service (but I want to find a reliable one) for about $75
2. Renting a car at Newark airport and dropping it off at LGA the next day for about $80.
3. Driving to LGA and leaving the car for 12 days at $24/day.

Were you asking for a vote? If so '2'. Even though it's $5 more you don't have to tip yourself and you aren't dependent on waiting for someone else to pick you up.

Do you have a 'park sleep fly or park stay go. program there? It's where you spend one night at an airport hotel and they take you to the airport and keep your car while you are away and than you get the shuttle back to the hotel when you return to get your car. It all depends on how much you could get a room for but usually they are pretty cheap.

Hey guys.......check out the countdown.......it's almost 2 months to the cruise!!!:goodvibes

I did a search for park sleep fly and it appears there are only 2 hotels at LGA. They only offer parking for 7 days. There are additional charges for the remaining days. It looks like that would be more than driving and leaving the car there.

What worries me about driving ourselves is leaving the car there that long. It is New York! DH had his car broken into at Newark once when he left it for a few days.

Go for the limo service! We use that in Florida and it's fabulous. You get in and don't have to worry about anything more. A great way to start your vacation!!

We have used stay & fly with each trip since we leave out of Milwaukee and it's usually a pre-7 am flight. Most of the hotels around the Milwaukee airport offer this service. I did have a little difficulty this time because we are gone for 2 weeks. I finally called the Clarion (closest to the airport) and they offer 14 days, we got it for $99! Cheaper then leaving our car at the airport. Did you look on the internet or call hotels? The Clarion did not list this on their website. Just a thought.

I think I might do the limo service:car: this time. I still have to book Magical Express and my transfers to the ship.

My only fear with a limo is that they won't show up. Some around here are not very reliable. I guess I should call some hotels but being that it is a very large busy airport I'm not holding my breath. They can get a lot more by limiting it to 7 days but I'll see what they say. I would love to do the park and sleep because the flight is around 7:00 am and the trip to the airport is probably 45 minutes so we would be leaving the house around 4 am

Noah has a lacrosse game this morning, DH wants to go to the farmers market, I want to take my outside pots to the local greenhouse where you can pot them and they provide the soil if you buy the plants. So much to do but it's gray, windy, and cold outside. High will not reach 60! There's also a frost advisory for tonight :confused3. If I plant my pots I'll have to keep them in the garage overnight.

That's what I have to do, sometimes I book an airport hotel and stay there the night before so it's not so stressful. I worry more about an accident on 95 on the way down. Lately, there's been a lot of those.

I suppose your airport is probably bigger then Milwaukee :rotfl:

Try my life......my second DD graduated yesterday from college.......:thumbsup2........there are boxes, etc. all over my house........she leaves for U of Miami tomorrow...........:sad2:.....and starts grad school on Wednesday...........:cloud9:...........but WHEN will she come home and put away her stuff???

Also, she's not coming with us this summer due to her grad school schedule, which is really bumming me out...............:scared:

My DD22, just drove away to Miami this morning.........I'm actually working on booking a flight to see her in the next few weeks.............:hippie:

We are doing Magical Express this time too. Last summer we used for the 1st time and it was pretty fast. Previous trips were all towncar. We still use a towncar service to get to Port Canaveral, it's just so much more relaxing and they will make a beverage stop too!

That's a great idea......I'm going on a bus trip to NYC this afternoon to see West Side Story but doing some gardening and cleaning is a good idea for this morning........

I can't imagine Noah going away like that, but he's only 11. Although there are days...:rolleyes1

I've used it and it mostly works out. One time, we arrived with a lot of other flights and we had to wait for a while.....you can't beat the price!:goodvibes
