if you aren't dressed up - wear your bandana from dinner.

Zachary was dressed in his Capt. Hook costume and while we were on deck dancing in the middle of the party, Capt. Hook came right up to Zachary to shake his hook (hand)! It was so so so cool. And I absolutely LOVE Minnie's outfit for pirate night - if I could find a Minnie pirate costume, I would get it and wear it.

Sound cool!!

My daughter's birthday party last Oct and she want a Pirate party so I bought them Pirates clothes etc as it was so lovely BUT i think these clothes are far too hot for them to wear it for this Medi Cruise. So I decide to buy a light clothes for Keith which he got it today, it look much better.

Unfortunately, I was so sick on my last cruise I was quarantined for the remaining 3 of my 4 days. I had picked up something while we went to port in Nassau; It was lousy having to stay in my room the entire time, but everyone was great on the ship and did their best for me to get well again. Luckily after the cruise I was completely back to normal and since we were headed to WDW for a few more days I was able to enjoy some part of the vacation!

I don't think we will be dressing in pirate gear. Too much packing, plus I don't think my teenage boys are up to it!!

About the mosquitos, I heard somewhere that there were mosquitos in Sardinia.

Cindy will you please update our cabin info. We are in room 5646. Thanks

We won't be dressing up for pirate night bascially 'cause i forgot about it. Opps. Oh well my brother will be happy. He is not happy that we are making him wear matching t-shirts on the first day.
Lissa:tinker:

Lissa - got you updated!

We don't have matching clothes, although the boys do have some of the same shirts and shorts but they hate it when they end up wearing the same thing because then people always ask if they are twins and they say NO, we're JUST BROTHERS. So when you all meet them, please don't ask them if they are twins (hee hee).

Personally I wouldn't mind having us wear coordinated outfits at least for boarding, but we'll all just wear whatever we happen to put on. I just keep reminding myself that this is their vacation, too, and the best thing I can do for them (and me) is to not micro-manage the whole thing!

I started looking for stuff to make door signs today. I've been browsing through the door sign thread for ideas and resources. Anyone have theirs ready that they'd like to share?

I have a question for everyone.

Are you all dressing up for Pirates Night or not. My DD wants to dress up but is frightened she will be the only one and this is putting her off. We have not made a final decision so your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Andrea

Yes, we are dressing up. Won't be bringing all our pirate gear and loot, but will be bringing us enough to look like a half decent pirate!

Today we got the 2-week fish feeder so our fish will hopefully not starve while we're gone. But other than that, I didn't do any shopping today; DH and DS#1 went with me to drop off my other son at the mall. Oh well - there's always next week!

I did get the boys packed for camp, and we'll drop them off tomorrow. I know they'll be glad to come home at the end of the week, and we'll miss them while they are gone, but I'm looking fwd to getting some cruise errands and packing done.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Oh, DH asked me what the weather will be like when we're on the cruise. I haven't looked ahead yet - anyone started looking?

No, it's not just you!!!! I was starting to think it was just me -- I asked on another thread and no one responded. For some crazy reason, the DIS is censoring those letters, which prevents anyone's pictures from a . C O M source being loaded . . .

Julie - thanks for the reply. I did some "cleaning" on my :surfweb: today and thought perhaps I had changed a setting myself.

It stinks because even saying :welcome: is harder.

ETA - looks like it has resolved itself!

Hi everyone,

Dumb question here: :goodvibes I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some lanyards with badge holders for our KTTW cards? I have seen a lot of people with them on in the pictures and I thought that would be a handy thing to have. Thanks!

We still have our cruise lanyards from last year. If you want cruise lanyards you can buy them once onboard in the shop, I don't remember how much they cost sorry.

Ok we are addicted to the food network in this house. Last night there was a show on with Gadia about the island of Capri. One of the places you can take an excursion to while in Naples it is also included in the one that goes to Pompei and Sorrento. This island is absolutely beautiful. It'a a really small island only about five miles across but she showed so much stuff I don't know how you could take it all in in just an hour or even a day. I wasn't really excited about this excursion until saw that show now I can't wait to see it.

Well we are still fine tuning our excursions here, and the more I read the reviews and reports from current cruisers, the more changes I want to make, lol.

We decided to drop Portofino and Santa Marherita and instead have reserved Sarzana and Wine Tasting for that day. It starts later, at 1 pm which will be appreciated after our busy day in Rome the previous day. It sounds lovely and will be a more laid back day for us.

By making this change, I was able to pickup a pedicure that morning in the spa, so I am thrilled! Pedicures are my luxury indulgence.

Is anyone else still making excursion changes?

Oh, and we picked up some nice trinkets for all our DIS cruiser friends! Can't wait to meet you all in person at the DIS Meet!

Hi All-

We are not dressing up for Pirate's Night, but then, we probably won't make it to the Pirate's Party anyway since we've got a 2-year-old.

I think I am finally done tweaking the day excursions, now we're doing:
Palermo on our own
Pompeii & Sorrento private tour
La Cinta Beach Disney excursion
Rome & Vatican tour on our own
Lerici Castle & Dinosaur Disney tour
Marseille - Private tour of Luberon
Villefranche - Nice on our own

Is anyone else doing a private Rome tour? How much are they charging you? Any company recommendations?

I'm still confused about the gifts for other DISers. Do you get one of the same thing for everyone, or a variety? Do I get one for every person, or one for each family? How much $$ to spend?

Thanks!
:) Colleen

Yes, we are doing a private tour in Rome with "Through Eternity". (througheternity.com)They do not provide any of the transportation (we are taking the train from the port into ROme). The cost is about 40 Euros pp for our group of 15. The price does not include admission into the Vatican or Coleseum (SP). THey will give us a guided tour once we are in. We will also visit spanish steps and trevi fountain and whatever else we can fit in. It is customized for our group. They basically take us around.

We need the transportation part I think but the company I got a quote from is quite expensive - 450 E. That's the same price we're paying for the private tour of Pompeii & Sorrento though so maybe I should just do it??
