In case anybody was wondering about how to bring toilet paper with them without bringing a huge roll Charmin sales travel size rolls in little plastic containers that fit easily in a bag. They also sale seat covers and paper towles this way. We have found them in Target and in Wal-Mart in the travel section. My Uncle had warned us about this so we have been stocking up. I can't imagine going into a bathroom with no paper. What do they use:confused3 ?

We haven't gotten our travel arrangements either! I am also very anxious. I was told by the disney rep that they would be available 45 days out. We are hoping that we don't have to travel through London. My in laws just traveled through there in Feb and could only bring on one carryon and that included my MIL's purse.
My husband is cracking up at all the travel blogs I have been reading about the current cruises. They are so helpful and full of great info. Have a great Wednesday!

I'm hoping for a non-stop from Atlanta. Guess I should go to one of the travel sites and see if that's even possible. I've been reading the travel reports, too, and started my packing list today (with travel toilet paper at the top!). Friday is 45 days out, so that's when I'll start checking every day for flight info.

Cindy,

How do you check for the flight info? Will it be on the disney website under "my cruise" plans? I just added toliet paper to my packing list too! I sure am glad I am not the only cumpulsive planner. Thanks for the help.

Kathy

I just checked Travelocity and they have a non-stop option going and coming - the going over flight is perfect; the coming home part is not so good - it's either 6 a.m. or 10:30 p.m. (and not necessarily non-stop).

I see a couple of flights that have you go from Gatwick to Heathrow (is there a bus that takes you? or do you have to find your own way?) and also the same sort of thing in New York coming home. I don't mind changing planes but I'm not sure I'm going to be up to changing airports!

I don't remember where I saw it - I saw the part where we are each listed and then it shows our hotel info and that we have DCL transfers... and it has our air info just showing that we're leaving from ATL.

Cindy,
Are you leaving on the 16th? If you are and are on the direct flight from Atl ya'll be on our flight. We were able to get the direct comeing back from Barcelona to. I think it leaves @ 1pm their time. Hope you find out your air info soon.

Gatwick to Heathrow is quite far out as it take 45 mins to 1 hour with bus. I am not sure if you can travel bus from Gatwick to Heathrow. I know that there is underground train.

As London is very busy. I email my friend and I let you know when I hear from her as she lives in Kent, England.

Lissa - what are you flight numbers? Yes, we're leaving on the 16th and returning on the 28th from ATL. I was looking on Travelocity today for potential flights. I'd love to do non-stop, especially with the kids.

Scottishwee - thanks for the info about Gatwick to Heathrow.

Here is a link to the Heathrow airport website that gives information on traveling between Heathrow and Gatwick, this can be done by either bus or train.

Hi All,
I have found it interesting to read the blogs:surfweb: . They are very helpful! Are any of you that arrive early into Barcelona planning a get acquainted meeting on land prior to the 18th? We are staying at the Hotel Inglaterra, arriving on the 15th. It sounds like most early arrivers will be in Barcelona by the 17th. Keep us posted if something is planned for that evening (perhaps at the Grand Marina hotel?)

I remember reading in a previous chat that one of you has done all of your excursions on your own. I am still trying to work out something for Naples. I was reading some shore descriptions from another cruise line and their excursion for Naples sounds just like what I would want to do. Going to Capri and Sorrento with a tour of Pompeii at the end of the day. If you are doing your own excursion in Naples, who are you using? :teacher:

Any idea yet how many formal nights we will definitely have? I have all my casual clothes picked out but haven't decided on the evening/formal stuff yet. Also, can't forget that pirate gear pirate: pirate:

Yep! It's definitely getting closer, can't wait to meet you all.

Hi Sandy

I contacted DCL about our formal nights etc a while ago and they told me formal night will be on the 19th, semi formal night on the 26th and Pirates night on the 25th. I don't think there are any other formal nights planned.

Some one started talking earlier about meeting up but I don't think anything has been arranged or decided yet. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please post and we can maybe try and organise a meeting :thumbsup2 .

Only 49 days to go Yipeeeeeeeee I can't wait and it will be great to finally meet everyone.

I can not believe we only have 49 more days to go. It seems like only yesterday when there was still a whole year before the cruise. I am so excited and can't wait to meet all of ya'll.
Kind of an odd question does anybody have any idea how many people are in our group? I'm plaining a surprise :rolleyes1 and need to know at least a close number. Leaving for WDW early Sunday morning can't wait to go back.

Off topic: We closed on our house today :cool1: . Now the chaos of moving can begin.

Hi all.

My family will be joining you on this cruise.

It will be our 12th Disney Cruise. My husband (Robert) and I just got off the Magic from the 14 night EB Transatlantic and had a great time. We would have loved to stay for the 1st 11 night with all our disney cruising buddies, but our daughter was graduating from junior high (tomorrow) so we had to come home.

Thus, we are returning to Barcelona for July 18th departure date.

It will be me-Linda, dh-Robert and dd-Jamie (15).

We are flying in early, but I still need to book our reservations. We have a segway tour at 5 p.m. on the 17th with Barcelona Guides. Robert and I just did it this last weekend and it was awesome, so we promised Jamie we would do again next month. Cost is 60 Euros per person if anyone is interested. There is also a thread on the board about the tour. It was great.

Okay, that's all the info about us. If we need to know anything, just let me know.

Linda,
How cool that you're going to be able to cruise again on the 18th. We would love to do a segway tour, as we will be arriving on the 15th. My luck one of us will break a leg but I still would consider it. Can you send more details about Barcelona Guides? Email me off the board if you'd like.

Do you have your excursions for Naples booked yet? I am looking into booking something private, perhaps doing Capri, Sorrento and then Pompeii in that order. But then again if we did Pompeii first, then Sorrento and Capri we could take the hydrofoil from Capri back to port of Naples.

Welcome the the July 18th thread.

Sandy
