I am just curious is there something going on on July 17? There is no availability on that particular day anywhere for a studio although surrounding days have availability.

Looks like Epcot has a moonlight magic event scheduled that night. I think once the moonlight magic calendar is announced, all of those dates get booked up pretty quickly.

There is pretty consistent churn with people adding/dropping. Keep looking and put in a waitlist or two.

I'm pretty sure that July 17 is Disneyland's Anniversary, but I don't see why that would have any effect on WDW.

Yep - same thing Monday Sept 1st.

You are only five months out and thus much is usually gone by then. And special events like Moonlight Magic have in the past made rooms fill sooner than they usually would, including at times finding every day of the week open except the special event day. I suspect what happens then is that a lot of local and near local DVC owners in Florida book that one night.

Just count your fortunes that it was not the King of all prior special events. For Sep 29, 30 and Oct 1, 2021, rooms filled extremely fast at 11 months out, including having some resorts, e.g., BWV, BLT, BCV, and VGF (except for dedicated 2BRs), fill all rooms in the morning at 11-months out. October 1 was the start of the 50th anniversary of WDW.
