Your better half! :love1:

Bumping up again.....until someone else tells us they're going! Can't stand just being with my kids! LOL Please? Join in....

It is I....your better half yet again......guess we have the whole ship to ourselves......no waiting in line to board! :Pinkbounc  :bounce: :rotfl2:  :wave2: :love1: :love2:

I guess we're definitely alone on this ship for this trip...... so far no one else is onboard! I guess it's still early. :hourglass

My mom and I (14) just got off the wonder March 27th cruise and will be headed back on the July 17th!

so nice to hear that there is someone else on our cruise! We are a family of five, DH, DS18, DD17, DS12. It is the first cruise for our kids and our second. Looking forward to some rest and relaxation.

This is my mom's and my 6th time on the Disney Cruise Line ( 2 magics and soon to be 4 wonders) and I love it so much I will not try any other ship, hehe! The teens and other kids clubs are a blast and are jammed packed with things to do that are alot of fun! This cruise though, we are sailing with 5 other family members who will be sailing for the first time too!

Stephanie,

so you liked the teens club? dd17 will probably be hanging out there....ds18 is probably too old but you never know.....ds12 I know will have a great time...what shore excusions if any did you do? worried about what to do in nassau.

As I told you it is their first cruise and our second but a first for all on disney.

Kathy

I loved the Aloft! I had previously been in Common Grounds on our last Magic Cruise, but the Aloft is so much better! The only excursion I did was Wild Side for Teens on Castaway Cay, which includes snorkeling, biking, and kayaking( which we were not allowed to do because of the wind.) I am also participating in Wild Side this cruise aswell and definetly recommend it! Also in Nassau, I was set to do the teen excursion there, in which you and your counslers take a speed boat around the island and get to see the sights of nassau and maybe spot a few dolphins on the way, but the boat was having technical difficulties and I was not able to go. If you have any other questions about the teen club, kids club, or anything else about the ship just ask and I'll try to help you out!

Stephanie,

Thanks so much for the info. How did you like the shows on board?

Did you like castaway cay? Was the family beach crowded, or did you stay with the teen club the whole time?

Did you know anyone who did the banana boat ride in castaway cay.....looks like alot of fun.

How did you find the food.....

Kathy

Being a dancer for 12 years myself, I know what I like when it comes to performances and after going to disney over 70 times, Disney entertainment tops my list! Especially on the cruise. The shows are fanatastic! You start with Hercules the Muse-ical which is not to be missed, your second night is a variety act which I did not attend, your third night is Disney's Golden Mickey's and it is a very good show being the newest show and should not be missed either. But the fourth Night is when my favorite show takes center stage, Disney Dreams! This should definetly not be missed and is the best out of the 3 lives stage shows. It is incredibly done and always leaves me in tears! ;) It so good, I attend the matinee and my regular show time, hehe!

I love Castaway Cay, and sometimes the family beach can be crowded but it's usually best to get down there early in order to get a good spot ( maybe with an umbrella) for the rest of the day. For the first time this trip, I did just hang out with the teens on the island. After getting up early so I could meet for Wild Side at 8:20 am and after the excursion was over they take the teens to lunch and most of them make their way over to teen beach afterwards. We all had a lot of fun playig sports and other games, swimming in the clear blue ocean, talking, burying the people we were with in the sand, and building a water craft out of bamboo to see if we could all float on it, hehe.

I didn't know anyone who was planning on going on the banana boat, but I heard it was canceled on our cruise due to the wind. And the food was great. Another thing that is definetly not to be missed is Pirate's Night! pirate:

SKminnie48, sounds like alot of fun! My kids have downloaded copies of previous cruise Navigators for both the teens and oceaneer lab kids. They were not told about the cruise until the other day.....wanted it to be a surprise, but found that we had to get them involved otherwise they may not like the activities/excursions availble. Looking to signing up my two older ones for the teen excusrions at both Nassau and CC. But heard alot about the banana boat rides at CC that I'm gonna try it myself! So if you see a bright pink "pig" floating around out there, that'll be me! LOL

OK, we are joining you on this cruise too. I am not good on threads, just discovering them this year with my d's college search. I am so excited to find this one because we have so many questions. This is the first thread I have ever posted on but have read alot so I ask you to be patient with my lack of skills. I have discovered that some of the nicest people post on threads. :flower: Also, this is our first cruise ever. My inlaws are taking the whole family on the trip for their anniversary. We are all so excited. Anyway, I have d 17 and s 14. They have cousins going that are m 18, f 17, f 12, f 10, f 3, and youngest m 1.
We will be the large nutty group! I am excited to hear about the things available on the cruise from this thread. I am the secondary person in the family in charge of planning so I will need help from the veterans on this site. So get ready for the questions to come.

Sounds like a rather large family gathering there Zshellsmc!
This will be our second criuise, our first was on the Celebrity Century w/o the kids. We have three kids, 18yr Son, 17 yr Daughter and another 12 yr old son. This will be the first cruise for my kids. We're flying in a day early and staying at the Cocoa Beach Courtyard and renting a car for the day. We're gonna drop off the car near the terminal (the port) the morning we board. from what we hear it's pretty easy to do this and we feel we would rather get in early and hang out rather than rush around. We also met GREAT folks on cruise boards. Infact we're still in contact with another couple we've met on the Cruise Critic board from our last cruise. There's alot of info to gather here on these boards. But the main thing is to be prepared and enjoy the cruise. We haven't decided on the shore excursions yet in Nassau, not sure we're gonna try any due to the pretty poor reports we've been reading about this island. Maybe just walk around and do alittle shopping and that's about it. I, personally would love to go diving, but the little guy (12yr Son) isn't certified yet and I would hate to leave him behind. So we 're gonna snorkel on Castaway Cay and maybe a few other things.....I hear the banana boat rides are pretty wild.....esp as a family....... Let me cut this reply short and sent it out now......glad to answer any questions you may have....welcome aboard..

Just checking in to see if anyone else is on this cruise (Wonder 7/17-7/21). So far I see about three families. Anyone else out there?
