My friend showed me her 3 cruise photo books that her family had got from their past 3 cruises. The books were identical except obviously for the family photos. The backgrounds, the stock photos... I was really unimpressed, and I make much nicer books on shutterfly every year for our family, so I think I'm just going to do some digital scrapbooking when I get home, with the photos we all take, and get shutterfly to print them. These photo packages on board just seem super expensive for what they are

Couple of questions.

Is the photo package worth it?
Are the photos from your excursion included in the package?

I read a post about this and seemed it may be worth it - I got the USB + prints package at pre-cruise price. I figured it could add up to hundreds of pictures and hopefully they'd be good quality. This way I am not fiddling with my iPhone everytime a character appearance happens with the kids and I know I'll get the pictures. Not sure about the excursions - I imagine those won't include ship photographers though. I'll make sure to get a bunch at Castaway Cay - surely they will be roaming then. We'll see - hopefully we get some good ones.

I always make my own book too. I did buy a nice family picture each time.

I've never bought one of the photo books. I scrapbook and make my own.

I'm not going to buy the photo book but I think I will buy the All Prints Package for $295. It says that 8x10s are normally $20 each and I know I am going to want to buy a ton of photos. The last cruise I went on I bought about 7 photos and that was before kids. With princess greets, character breakfasts, Castaway Cay, I can only imagine how many photos we are going to rack up. So, I figure as long as there are over 15 photos in my purchase, I'll have made a good purchase. Now, to explain that to my DH...

ONE WEEK FROM NOW WE WILL BE BOARDING THE SHIP!!!! Getting super excited for our cruise!!! So glad we delayed our vacation until July (we usually vacation in June). Between our middle daughters' HS graduation the end of May, driving 641 miles down to GA a few days later to pack up our freshman from her 1st year of college, the "graduates" graduation party and just work and life.................. We are all looking forward to some down time / family time. What better way than with Mickey and Friends! Excited to sail on the Fantasy for the 1st time (4th Disney Cruise). I was finalizing everything this morning (more like refreshing my memory) and creating a packing list for the fam. So glad this isn't our 1st rodeo. Makes knowing what to pack a bit easier See y'all real soon!!!

If you have passports for the kids, you won't need birth certificates. We only take passports and have never had a problem.

It might be last minute but I finally finished the fish extenders and started packing!! Just a few more days!!

I'm going to close our pixie dust list. It's one week to sail date so I want our pixie dusters to have time to organize as well! Plus people are starting to travel. Hope that's ok with everyone!

I printed our final list tonight and will have it on my door 7514 the first 24 hours in case someone needs to update or forgets their list!

Decided to not do a planned excursion for Tortola but I would like to make sure we spend some time on the island. Anyone been there before? Is there much within walking distance? Is it easy to take a taxi to some local places? Beaches, rum factories, etc? Any advice? Might still do one of the short beach trips.
