July 16, 2006

please, is there any boys or girls about 12 on this cruise? There isn't much time left and I know i'm not the only one on this cruise.

Hello,
Yes we are on this cruise also. :thumbsup2

My daughter is only 8 though so I can't help you there.
We went on our first cruise last year and loved it!

Worked things out so we can go again this year. It will most likely be our last 'Family' vacation before our son heads off to college next year.

Only 44 days!

Hello Kevin,

Glad we are not alone on the cruise. This will be our second DCL cruise also. My twelve y/o son is getting despirate to make a pen pen pal before the cruise. We also have a DS7 and twin DD's which will turn 3 while on the cruise.

I made our reservations over 18 months ago now I can't believe it is almost here. :woohoo:

Hi.... We are sailing July 16th on the Wonder with our son who is 11 (will be 12 in December) and our daughter who is 9 (will be 10 in September). Glad to finally find some people who are cruising at the same time. This will be our 1st ever cruise! We're nervous and excited at the same time ;) We are counting down the days - less than 2 weeks away!

Good Morning everyone. Hope everyone had a fun and safe Fourth of July. My oldest son is happy to see there are going to be several kids his age one the ship. We started packing this weekend. Two weeks and Six people the luggage situation is not pretty.

Anyone planning on bringing clothes to dress up for pirates night?
My daughter and I did last year though there were not many others, I saw just a few other families that was about it. I was thinking since it has been a year now that more people would have heard about it and dress up. :confused3

I was still going to take my 'Pirate Clothes' even though I don't believe my daughter plans to this year, I figure I could always wear them when I go to see 'Dead Man's Chest' onboard.

We will be sort of pirate-ish. I can't talk anyone into going all out.

Hooray! We leave on Wednesday for DisneyWorld. It's our first trip east, and we are beside ourselves with excitement. We plan to run our guts out in the park and on the ship with only a few breaks for relaxation. We figure that we can relax at HOME!

See you there!

We just booked this cruise last week!!! :woohoo: Talk about last minute...now we're really scurrying to get things ready. I don't even have my packet from the cruise line with my info and those cute little luggage tags yet!! :guilty:

But I'm sooooooo excited!!! :bounce: I've always wanted to go on a Disney cruise!! I think I'm more excited than my kiddos. :cool1: I'm traveling with my 17 yr old DD and my 4 yr old DS. It sounds like there might be quite a few of us with children in the Oceaneer's Club!

Now I've got to start gleaning the boards for clues and tips--this will be our first cruise. However, I think it'll be so wonderful that while onboard I do plan on booking one for next Summer too!!! ;)

Welcome aboard!
Those of you with teens make sure they go to the first day teen function, I forget what the call it, but that's when everyone gets to meet for the first time. Last year our DS(16 then) didn't want to go so we had to make a deal with him, go to this one and you don't have to go again. Well after he went that's the last we seen of him the whole cruise pretty much. He made a bunch of friends and off they went. He still talks to a few of them through email.

PS. And our DD of 7 years loved the kids club as well!

Four more days until we head down to FLA! :sunny:

I'm not going to worry about my teen. It's the 12 year old boy that is refusing to go with the "babies". He is, after all, now a junior higher; and he thinks the kid's club is beneath him. Too bad he can't go with his sister to the teen group. Oh well, we are going to have fun no matter what!!!
