I am excited we are starting to receive inquiries for the FE on our cruise! 90 more days to go!

so my mom just informed me that we are going on this cruise!!! yay!!!!! this is my family's second dc! i would love to get involved in a fe this time! we are and older family its my parents, my brother (16) and me (18).

How many do we have so far? When do you think we will have a cut-off so we can begin preparing FE gifts?

Looks like we only have about 9 so far. We totally understand the need to plan and make our gifts but definitely don't want to cut it off too early

We participated in our first FE on our last cruise last November. We booked our cruise about two months out and stumbled upon DISBOARDS after we did so. That's when we first learned what a FE was. Unfortunately, we were cut off from the main group. They had literally just cut it off when we signed up and started posting here. We had to start a second smaller group of our own. We had a few sympathy participants from the first group who also participated in our smaller group.

It was kind of sad and disappointing to get left out of the main group We ended up sprinkling extra pixie dust on our group by doing gifts for each day of the cruise for each person in each cabin instead of just one gift. So did most of the other people in our group The kids loved it!

The conversation for the November cruise we were on was a lot busier than this one, though. Imagine it's because of the difference in price. (i.e. DIS veterans try to cruise as much as possible by doing the less expensive cruises...)

I was thinking of leaving it open until early/mid June. Will take suggestions though. I hate for people to be left out. Though, on the summer cruise maybe those who will go have been booked for a while.

Wait, this is a more expensive cruise?

Yes. I can share the list. But, I am traveling for work for a few days so won't be back to my home computer to send it until the weekend at best.

On our last cruise, there was a post asking if any kids that were going on that cruise would like to get in contact with each other before the cruise so they might have already made a friend before getting on the ship. It worked out so well, my DD still keeps in close touch with the friend she had made on our cruise in 2011.

If anyone has kids that might be interested in this, post your kids ages and if someone has like minded kids, they can connect. Use PM's to exchange emails and all contacts need to be approved by mom or dad.

I have a DS16 And a DD13 Let me know if you have kids in the age range who want to get in touch.
