July 14,2013 - Disney Dream - 4 Night Bahama Cruise

I realize that I am SUPER late in posting here, but I was recently surprised with this cruise and just discovered the DIS forums today.
My incredible mom and dad decided to take all three of their kids (myself and my two brothers), our spouses, and all of our children on this cruise to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary! We are all very excited but I'm feeling a bit lost as I don't know much about it, haven't booked any excursions, etc.. My daughters are 4 and 6 and I wouldn't mind meeting up with others who have kiddos around the same age.
My brothers and I would also like to surprise my parents with something special on the cruise as a big THANK YOU and to celebrate their anniversary...would any of you have any ideas regarding what we could do? I briefly looked into some things this morning and saw that we could have flowers sent to their room or reserve a private function room for an hour...but neither of those ideas really fit the bill. This is my first cruise and I haven't a clue what we might be able to plan while on the ship.
I apologize for the long post (and for my cluelessness). I appreciate any suggestions or advice you might have regarding how I can plan for this rapidly approaching adventure!

Hi there! When you guys first come on the ship they will do a shout out to the crew that your family is coming on board, you can tell the person doing it about their 50th wedding anniversary. Also, tell your servers about the anniversary and they will make a special dessert for them. It might be a little late but you can make reservations for them at Palos or Remys. Have a great time!

I love the new members but sadly I will not be able to give anything to them. I'm a broke college kid and I don't have anymore spending money haha but welcome to our group everyone!

Hi ECS! You could get them day passes to the Rainforest Room in the spa. They are only $15 each of you order it from the Disney Cruise Line website. You can have them(and several other gifts) delivered right to their stateroom.

This will be our first cruise! My son is six and we are so excited. For those of you who have cruised before..stupid question: do they have hair dryers in the rooms? Don't want to pack one if I don't have to.

We just got home after a few days at Disney after the cruise. We enjoyed unpacking them and having a piece of the cruise with us. Who have the 3d pens and how did you make them ?

My husband has a 3D printer that he just got, so we were playing with them to make the pens.
