July 13, 2012 - 5 Nights on the Disney Dream

We also did the July 19 5-night Dream and enoyed it so much that we booked b2b for 9 nights - July 13 & 18. This will be our 6th & 7th DCL vacation. FIre away with any questions or if you want tips on something related to the Dream. Cabannas on CC are fantastic and IMO worth the extra coin - for what it's worth.

Welcome to the party!! :cheer2:

WE DID THE CABANAS ALSO AND IT WAS GREAT YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO WALK TO GET LUNCH OR TO THE SHOWERS THEY DRIVE YOU WHEN YOU CALL ON THE INTERCOM ALTHOUGH I FOUND OUT FROM THE CABANA GUY HE DOESN'T GET THE BEVERAGE TIPS THEY GO TO THE BARTENDER SO WE TIPPED HIM ACCORDINGLY. IT IS VERY MUCH WORTH THE MONEY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.

what does DW, DD, etc stand for? Any Dream advice would be wonderful, it is our first Disney cruise and we are SUPER excited!! I read that some people bring items to be signed by the characters, do we have to wait in a lot of lines to get the signatures, or do we drop them off somewhere? I also heard that the slide line is crazy long, any tips for that?

Hi Wendy!

Welcome aboard!! DW is Dear (or Disney) Wife, DD is Dear Daughter, etc. There is a really good listing here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1660743 but it will get easier the more you read. Promise!!

Signatures can be done either way. You can leave 1-2 items per stateroom at guest services at the beginning of the cruise and they will get them signed for you or you can bring items to the different meet and greets throughout the cruise.

The best times we found for the Aqua Duck last June were during the shows/dinner seatings or the first part of the day on Castaway Cay days.

Also, at noon on the sea day - make sure you're up by the pools. The captain will play through all the different horns!

Haven't checked in for awhile but glad to see others chiming in. I'm looking forward to this trip and can't wait for it to get closer so we can start all the planning. :goodvibes

I heard that some groups have facebookpages. Does our cruise have one yet? That would be fun!

This will be our 2nd cruise on DCL. First one was in 2004. :yay: Can't wait! We are in for fish extender group too. Have never done it before but it looks like fun!

Hello everyone! I am Latoria and my DH is Jerome. This will be our 2nd Disney cruise and I couldn't be more excited. This time we will be traveling without the kids. This cruise is for our 10 year anniversary! Just wanted to drop in and say hello.

I know that the cruise is five months away, but can we bring this thread to life? I know there is some excitement among you. What better way to share in it than with fellow cruisers.:cool1: Look forward to hearing from everyone.

Our cruise will be around the corner before we know it. I know there hasn't been much movement on this thread but hopefully it will pick up as it get's closer. Perhaps it is time to start compiling the FE list. Who's in?

Hi Everyone,
My DW Bev and I just returned from a 3 night cruise on the Dream. Our DF (Dear Friends) son was married by the Captain. What a great time we had!!! Although it was too short, we are counting the days until July for our next "Dream" getaway. Look forward to seeing you all there.pirate:

Welcome to the thread! These next couple of months of waiting is going to be a struggle(for me at least).
