July 13, 2008 - Cruisin' the Mexican Riviera

had a good sleep last night. Got home at 3 and slept till about 11:00 which is more hours then I sleep usually so it feels nice. I'm making a trip report, so keep a look out for it

I think you are talking about Randy. We saw the show and then saw him all the time on the boat. I think he made a lot of new friends this week :-)

in LAX right now. I'll be making a trip report starting tomorrow. I got over 700 pictures for real including my dad's. The fish extender broke that's why I didn't have it up. I was super mad and I forgot the gifts at home. But I have a special thing planned so if you have any pictures of your friends or family send me them and I'll put them in my little project

So the cruise was awesome. I met a bunch of people and was out till like 2:00-4:00am every night.

David is my new favorite person, ever night in Rockin' Bar D was awesome with him and DJ Mike who was awesome also. The whole cruise staff was just the best.

Was anyone else at Match Your Mate the first night? What was that guys name? I saw him on the ride to the airport.

My servers and room steward were awesome on the cruise at Well Servers were Ana and Mikey and room steward was glenn

yeah that's it, haha I just couldn't remember his name. The people I hung out with at night and I actually talked to him each night, he was great

Hi All!

We had a great time on the cruise. It was wonderful to meet most of you who've been posting on this thread! I also enjoyed running into many of you throughout the cruise.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the FE Gift Exchange! We really enjoyed receiving surprises everyday! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Hey everyone, it is really tough going back to work today. I still feel like my office is rocking :rotfl:. We had a really great time meeting everyone :grouphug: and doing the FE exchange. The girls were always checking out the FE when we came back to the room. My DH came down with the bug on the boat on Saturday  and had to stay in our stateroom all day. I think I got some small form of it yesterday. My ears are plugged and my throat is a little scratchy. I spent most of yesterday doing :laundy: and unpacking. Hopefully I will finish the laundry today. I am still tired in the mornings as I don't think I have adjusted to the time change yet (and the continued rocking feeling doesn't help :) ).

Our flights back on Sunday were kind of eventful. Since our flight was at 11:30 Disney put us in the first group to get off the ship so we had to meet at 7:15 in the theater. Once we all gathered they took us down to customs. When I spoke to our car service about getting picked up on Sunday, he told us that getting through customs can take a few hours so he would plan on picking us up around 9:15. Needless to say it took us about 5 minutes to get through customs. We called the service and luckily they were able to get us at 8:15. So we got to the airport way early and were able to get a nice breakfast. Our first flight was from Orange County to Cincinnati, OH. That flight took off on time and we arrived pretty close to our arrival time, the only problem was storms in Cincinnati. We had about 40 minutes to get to our departure gate for Baltimore. We arrived with plenty of time but noticed that there were some really dark clouds right outside of our terminal. As we watched these clouds they started to form some funnels :scared1: . My DD10 was getting pretty scared. Next thing we know we are being moved to the tunnels under the terminal because there were tornado warnings in the area (yeah, like outside of the window). We had to sit in the tunnels for about 30-45 minutes and then were given the all clear. Well, our flight was delayed about 2 hours so we didn't get into Baltimore until 11:30pm. Luckily for us that was 8:30pm body time. We got the car unpacked, found our toothbrushes and headed off to bed. The girls had camp in the morning and my DH had work.

It is hard to believe that after waiting for 2 years, the vacation has come and gone. We had a great time and can't wait to start planning for our next trip. Hope to see you all again and please keep in touch.

Susan

Hi Everyone,
Katie, Amy and I arrived home this afternoon. What an amazing trip. What an incredible mountain of laundry!
SuJo, I feel your husband's pain. I spent all of Saturday in our room as well. Felt more like a problem with something I ate than a virus. My husband was worried I would not be able drive on Sunday, but it was not a problem. No one else in our group had any problems. Glad to hear you survived your airport ordeal.
Deb, thanks so very much for organizing the fish extender gift exchange. Everyone really had a blast being surprised at what would appear next!
I'm missing the adult shows at the Rockin Bar D! I thought the entertainers were all so funny!! :rotfl2: Did anyone book a future cruise? Was anyone else out on Deck 4 (Day 4) after the Wall E movie when the lightning struck right by the ship!? My family is still talking about that one. So many good memories. ;)

Nice work, Julia! Your trip report is outstanding so far.

Deb, I was sick a lot of the cruise as well, and now George and Kimmie are fighting the same thing. Sore throat, congestion, sinuses, etc.

We booked onboard for June 6, 2009 and...can it be possible...back-to-back June 13!!!!!! We may end up changing plans as we work out the details. Frankly, I am just excited that we said the magic words "back to back"!

Now...where to find the $$ ??:confused3

Seems like a lot of us either ended up with a stomach virus or cold type virus. I am still recovering from a bad cold. I got off the ship with a bit of a sore throat that turned into a nasty cold the week after.I think at this point it may be a sinus infection. We traveled to my folks' house this past Saturday and going from sea level to 4500' burst my ear drum. I am off to urgent care this morning. My oldest daughter is still suffering from a cold. DH and youngest DD are OK.

Hope every one is recovering from whatever may be ailing them. Looking forward to some antiboitics to finally clear my issues up.

We are still going through all of our FE gifts. Having fun looking at all the photos. Now I just need to make those scrapbooks!!!
