Hi Kirkpatrick Family

It's great to have you join us on the FE exchange list. sorry I missed you off earlier. When I started the list I messaged all the people that had previously posted that they would like to join the FE list asking them to confirm that they would still like me to add them on. Apologies as I must not have made that clear. As we will be closing this list in just under a month, I will post another message asking everyone to check the list and let me know if they would like to be added.

Thanks for getting back in touch. Are you travelling to celebrate a special occasion or just for a vacation? We are very excited, especially, as you say, because it is just around the corner now. I keep checking the countdown on the DCL app to see how many days left we have to wait!! Do your kids have any favourite characters?[/QUOTE]

Jessica
Thanks for organizing. I am not on this board very often., which is why I had not responded. Work is keeping me very busy but I need to get the Disney stuff ready. No special occasion, just a summer vacation! My daughter's favorite is Jasmine or Elsa and my son's is Mickey. Thanks again!!!

Hi Jessica,

Is there any way the Mentas/Mueller Family can be on the front end of the rotation (Day 1 or 2)? We have FE items that are intended to be used all throughout the cruise, so we would lie people to have them ASAP. Also, we have an excursion on Day 3. Thank you so much!!

Hi Tiffany

Absolutely, the rota is just an idea and not a definite. The idea of the rota was that everyone delivers to one or two cabins each day therefore everybody receives something each day. I think the consensus was that everyone would unpack and hang up the FE on the first day/night so the deliveries would start the next day which is a day at sea so will give lots of time for us first timers to get our heads around it all!! Is that ok with you? I'll leave you off the rota and let everyone know that your gifts will be arriving to everyone on the first day. That is so exciting, I can't wait to see what they are!!

To all the families signed up for the Fish Extender exchange...

I was going to set up a rota for delivering our FE gifts. The idea is that everyone delivers to one or two cabins each day therefore everybody receives at least one gift each day. I think the consensus was that everyone would unpack and hang up the FE on the first day/night so the deliveries would start the next day which is a day at sea. The Mentas/Mueller family have got gifts that are designed to be used throughout the cruise so they are going to deliver all of their gifts on the first day so they will not be on the rota.

How does everyone else feel about a rota? Please let me know if you would prefer to deliver all of your gifts on a certain day so that I can work the rota to fit in with that. I have done extra little gifts for the kids on Pirate Night so if you have kids in your cabin, they will receive a gift from us on day 5, which is pirate night, in addition to their FE gift on the allocated day on the rota.

Thanks Jessica

We are fine with a rota. Thank you for all your work on this Jessica!! We are getting really excited over here!

Yes, I would prefer to deliver all mine on one day. Having done this, I feel it is much easier.

Shall I put you down for day 3 as the Mentas/Mueller Family are delivering all their gifts on day 2? If you would prefer a specific day, let me know so that I can work the rota for the families around it. thanks x

I would prefer a sea day if there is an option. Thanks. I think day 3 we are off the ship with the Dolphins, but I need to verify excursions.

Hello All, this is our first cruise and we are very excited! I'm in a fb group but didn't know about this. I'm a single mom w/DD 12 and DS 14. Is there one spot that contains a comprehensive "things to consider" type of list. I've found out about a lot of stuff just by reading, like decorating door, pirate night....but want to make sure I don't miss anything!

Thanks!

Hey everyone! Just discovered this forum from Pinterest. Our family is attending this cruise, our third one. My husband and I, our DS 12 and DD 9.

SIGN UP TO THE FISH EXTENDER LIST FOR DISNEY FANTASY WESTERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE SAILING JULY 11, 2015.

As time is getting closer to our sailing date, I am going to take the lead in organising the FE list for our cruise. As stated in my post above, this is the first time that I have taken part in the FE so if anybody has any advice please speak up!!

I've had a look on some of the other threads and they seem to be limiting lists to around 15 staterooms before starting a new list. Personally, I really like this idea as we are travelling from the UK and so too many FE gifts in our suitcase may take up all of the weight allowance leaving no room for clothes!!! What does everyone else think?

Please reply to let me know all the following details;

Stateroom number
Family name
Names of everyone in your stateroom
Ages
Allergies, special occasions, favourite characters, etc.

Let's get the fun started!!

Jessica (from the UK, hence the different spellings of some words)
Have you maxed out on the FE list ? I just learned about this, and loved the idea

Here's a link to the printed Navigator from a May 30 Fantasy Western sailing to give you some ideas of the different activities and schedules of things. Suggest loading the Disney Cruise APP which works while on the ship providing an mobile format of the Navigator and allows your family to text through the APP. The APP works with device on airplane mode so no roaming or other device charges. Feel free to ask any specific questions here and will do my best to give you some insights.

This is our second Disney cruise but we didn't do any research before the last one so didn't get to join in the FE fun or decorate our stateroom door. This time I have done the research and found lots on pinterest which then directed me to other sites about tips to get the most out of the cruise. I found that the ones titled 10 top tips for Disney Cruise first timers were particularly good. Hope this helps.

Hi fellow cruisers!!

Just to confirm that the FE list is now officially closed and we have a total of 11 families. Sorry I didn't manage to get on here over the weekend to do this but I was really busy at work and we had 3 family birthdays to celebrate... phew, glad it's all over now... looking forward to the cruise now.

A few families wanted a rota for deliveries to ensure that every family receives at least one gift per day. I will complete a rota and post it on here this week. The Kirkpatrick and the Mentas/Mueller families would prefer to deliver all of their gifts on the first sea day. If you have not already told me, please let me know in the next couple of days if you would prefer to deliver all of your gifts on one day or whether you are happy to join in the rota so that I can work it out.

Thanks

Jessica x
