Hi Amy

I know Matt has his own room but I was wondering if he would be having his own Fish Extender outside his own room or whether he would be joining yours or his parents. I put him on the FE Exchange list with your parents but I'll change that now.

Yes, I'll do a rota of days to deliver our gifts so that everyone receives something each day once the list has been closed. I was thinking June 11th to close the list so that it would give everybody 1 month before sailing day to get all the gifts organised. What do you think?

That's great, we'll go for that then. Hopefully more will join us before then but if not, as you say, there are enough families participating for at least one gift a day.

Are you travelling for a special occasion or just for a fun vacation?

It's great to have you join us on the FE exchange list. sorry I missed you off earlier. When I started the list I messaged all the people that had previously posted that they would like to join the FE list asking them to confirm that they would still like me to add them on. Apologies as I must not have made that clear. As we will be closing this list in just under a month, I will post another message asking everyone to check the list and let me know if they would like to be added.

Thanks for getting back in touch. Are you travelling to celebrate a special occasion or just for a vacation? We are very excited, especially, as you say, because it is just around the corner now. I keep checking the countdown on the DCL app to see how many days left we have to wait!! Do your kids have any favourite characters?

Arg, still no stateroom number. We were told that we might not even receive it until embarkation! If this is the case, I will make sure to attach a tag to our FEs with the stateroom number written on it so when we deliver them to you, you will know where to find us. Will that work?

In order to ensure that every cabin got a gift each day we were going to do a rota of which cabins to deliver gifts to each day. If you don't get your cabin number until embarkation, we'll put you down to deliver all your gifts on the first day of the exchange then you can attach a note with the cabin number on. There is another family waiting for their cabin number too. Hopefully it will come soon but if not, we'll make something work. It might just mean that you don't start receiving your gifts until the second day of the exchange. Does that sound Ok? Do you think your family will be able to deliver all their gifts on one day?x

Sure, I'll make sure they do it in one day. they have early embarkation, so they should be able to knock them out.

We'll probably start on day 2 of the cruise anyway so that everybody has chance to unpack and hang out their fish extenders. Also, I would hate for anyone to injure themselves whilst dodging the luggage deliveries!! Hopefully you will get your cabin number before embarkation then you can join the normal rota which will mean two or three deliveries and receipts each day.

TO SIGN UP TO THE FISH EXTENDER EXCHANGE FOR OUR CRUISE YOU MUST REPLY BEFORE THURSDAY, JUNE 11TH, 2015.

In order for all the families involved in the Fish Extender exchange for our cruise to organise their gifts, we have decided to close the list for new families to join on Thursday June 11th 2015. Our current list has a total of 10 families so far and can be found at post #36 on this thread or by clicking on the link in my signature at the bottom of this post.

If you are interested in joining us, please reply to this thread with your family name, names of all the people in your cabin participating, your cabin number if you have it already and the ages of the kids in your family. Also, please include any allergies for your families in case of cosmetic or food gifts and let us know if your are travel to celebrate a special occasion so that we can help you celebrate. If you have any specific favourite characters or interests, you can add that information on too.

Some families expressed an interest in joining the FE exchange on this thread before I volunteered to organise the list. When I started the list on April 17th, I messaged everybody who had already said that they wanted to be involved to ask if they would still like to be added to the list. If you have not replied to this message, your family will not be listed. If you are still interested in signing up, please check the current list and if your are not there, let me know and I will add you.

Hello everyone and glad to see that the FE got going for folks even though we are not doing it thanks to Jessica for running point and hope everyone enjoys. This will be our 9th DCL and 2nd on the Fantasy so if anyone has questions fell free to ask away.

For those with kids that like character autographs make sure to have your pillow cases and cloth markers or whatever other item you want signed planned to drop off at guest services on the first day. Drop your item along with permanent markers, last name & cabin # in a bag off and pick either Mickey & Pals or Princesses for signatures. Your item comes back to your room late in the cruise all signed for you.

Yay, I'll add it on to the FE list. Are your family getting excited now? I bet it suddenly feels real now that you've got your cabin confirmed?!

It's my daughter's 8th birthday in 2 weeks today so she is excited about that right now but as soon as that is over it will be... 'how many sleeps until we go on holiday?'. She's having a Hollywood theme party at home this year so I'm slightly panicking about the state of my house when all her friends have left. I have ordered a surprise pink hummer limo to take them for a ride for an hour. She is going to be soooooooo excited when it turns up, she has no idea!!

Does Brooke go to a new school after the summer? Over in England, Imogen will stay at the Junior school she is at now then move to the senior school when she is age 11. We have Infant School from 4 years to 7 years, Junior School from 7 years - 11 years and then Senior School 11 years - 16 years. Most schools have both the Infants and Juniors under the same roof and are called Primary Schools. How long does she have off for the summer? Over here we have between 6 and 8 weeks.

She just finished her first year of Middle School. We have Elementary School Kindergarten through 5th grade, Middle School 6th through 8th grade, then High School 9th through 12th grade. She started Kindergarten at 4 (because of her late November birthday) so she is one of the youngest in her class. She will graduate High School & start college at 17 where most of her classmates will be 18-19. We have about the same summer as you do - 7-8 weeks. She returns in mid-August.
