If anyone is interested, Space Shuttle Atlantis launches today at 1:01 pm central time. It's STS-125 mission to repair the Hubble telescope. You can typically watch NASA TV online if you want to watch the launch. It's not often we go to Hubble (in fact this will be the last mission to hubble) so even if you get a chance to see it a couple days from now to watch them working on the telescope, it should be pretty interesting.

We get it in HD at home, the DVR is already running! :)

I especially like the new information segways they put in during the broadcast, covering the individual pieces of equipment that make up the launch and all the technical data on them. I never imagined that the outer shell of the ext fuel tank was only 1/4 inch thick, wow.

So Nick, do you have any desire at all to go up there too? In space, that is.
