I'm very technologically challenged. How do I upload a picture from my computer files into a posting? I can only see a way to upload it via URL.

hah. it was just announced to me by my darling mother that the fed-ex package next to the door [that has been there for the past 5 days..] is our cruise info with luggage tags! ha! yessss!!
And we are in stateroom 750*
leaving the last number off just in case! haha.

Im going to attempt to make a FE tonight, i have some nemo fabrico lying around somewhere.... and then my dad cant refuse joining in the fun.

Can see that your still trying to talk your folks into playing our little reindeer game but, we’ll go ahead and add you to the F/E list anyway. We’re planning on bring a few extra “who-haws” & “doo-lollys” anyway so if we see a “Nemo-ish” F/E hanging on a cabin on Deck-7 Starboard somewhere ahead of the forward elevators (750*), we’ll know it’s you. You have to post your photo to an internet site (Photo Bucket, Fotki, etc) and then copy the URL of the photo and past it in your message. Type

on either side of the URL. So it would look like this...

no spaces

Monstro already beat me to this question with a very simple and straight forward (and absolutely correct) answer, but since I’ve already typed this mess up I’ll post it anyway, so here goes:

The easiest way to post pictures is to go through an image-hosting site, like PhotoBucket (which is free). There is a video you can watch out on the Technical Support discussion board that will give you a good idea of how the process works. (it’s the second vidio on the following page:

Basically, you set up an account for yourself and then upload your pictures there. The site has tools that will automatically build the little bits of HTML code you need to have the picture show up in your post. You copy the bit of code that was generated and paste it into your post and then just add the post to the thread.

A little more about HTML: That’s the computer language that tells the servers how to format text and images and how to talk to each other. When you click on the “Quote” button to include someone’s comment or question in your response, the website opens up the little screen where we all type up our comments and it already has the previous posters comments at the top of the text box and it has added some funky looking bits of data to the front and back.

(Except that there would be a “[“ character at the beginning and end that I left off so you could see the code)

The funky stuff on either side of the actual comment is HTML code, and the bit of code that will be generated for you by the picture-hosting site will look very similar. Hope this helps a little bit (the video tutorial should help a lot more).

We had a great mini vaca in HH......but not as much fun as we'll have in a few weeks!!

Both of my kids had to get glasses just before they turned 4. They have had no problems wearing them at all thankfully - they will wear them to bed if I don't remind them to take them off!!

I tried to use photobucket to get pictures on my computer to a URL format, but couldn't do the download. I don't have much time to figure it out (nor much desire to get frustrated doing it). Anyway...
My 5-yr-old, Kat, also got glasses at age 4. She is great about them. Better than I was. I opted for the surgery about 6 yrs ago.
I showed her and Evee pictures of Kasona nd Kamryn, so they are excited that they will "know" someone on the cruise.

We got our cruise documents from UPS yesterday!!!
It really makes it feel more real!! I was secretly hoping for a little upgrade but no such luck....we booked a cat 10....all I wanted was a porthole!! But we're trying to do this as affordably as possible so I'm just thrilled to be going at all!!
Won't be much longer now!!

It took me several tries too - and I did get frustrated!!

They are ADORABLE!! I'll have to be sure to let Kamryn and Kason see them tonight when we get home - Kason is already excited and talking about his "friends" Evee and Kat! so sweet!

Now if I could just get my documents.......

OH YEAH!!!! My sister had her baby yesterday - "Kensley Ardyn" - she weighs 7 lbs 2 ozs and is 19 inches long - Mommy and baby and VERY PROUD Daddy are doing great!!!
