July 11 - 18 "Magic" Cruise to the Western Caribbean

Georgiana ---- so glad to hear that Melissa's surgery was successful...tell her we will all make sure she continues to rest on the cruise!:cheer2:

I have NEVER seen a space shuttle launch so I am excited about that too - and I also just realized I do have a surprise for the kids this time around after all......they don't know anything about the shuttle launch! That way if it doesn't happen I do not have to deal with the DRAMA!!!;):)

I also need names for your parents Hannah and for 97Greenhouse. As soon as you can if possible.
Thanks,
Michelle

I've been unable to post, turns out it was a problem with AOL.

Anyway, we will be at the 3:00 - Marilyn and Frank with daughters, Liz (16) and Nicole (14 on July 12th). They are hoping to meet other teenagers.

Can't wait to hear those magical seven notes!

There was a launch when we were in Melbourne but I don't remember if we were able to see anything. Maybe just a streak across the sky. If I remember right it seems we "felt" it more than saw it.

I barely remember what I had for breakfast and it would have been probably 30 years ago....LOL

Seriously?? I don't remember that AT all!:confused3:confused:

I'm FINALLY back in the computer realm. Didn't realize how much I used and needed my computer until it went down. I see that Doug stepped up and posted some pics though. Good man!

I just read all the postings. Great pics posted.

Excited to hear about the shuttle possibly launching. The day we left Ft Bliss, TX to move back to CO the girls and I saw the shuttle being ferried back east. It lands at Biggs Army Airfield sometimes and we just happened to be driving by the runway while it was sitting there on top of the "carrier" plane. What a sight. Took the opportunity to explain it to the girls (not sure they completely got it - or maybe they weren't very interested). I thought it was cool to see.

Started laying clothes out yesterday. Moms of boys, is it easier to pack for them than girls? My girls' dresses, shoes, and accessories are taking up a lot of room. And they aren't even pre-teens yet!! Glad I'm driving and not flying.
Patty

I need names for mom2mizmous family, if you check in will you post here or PM me? I am making nametags for our meet.
Michelle

Hi momcloud! thank you for thinking of us! Sorry we haven't been on much lately, but with school closing down for the year, I have been working there nonstop (and now attending 4 day seminar on teaching reading-lol!) anyho- our little gang is as follows- me(mom2mizmous) Donna, DH- Jim, DD- Becky( 25), and dd's bff- is Ashley(26). I hope to start catching up on all the info here in next couple days- but for now its back to MY 'homework' assignment for tomorrow's class :rotfl: Catch you all soon!

Hey Hannah,
You might get a few surprises yourself! Can't wait to meet you and your family. I have always wanted to go to Austrailia- my dream trip!

Yes much easier ;)- but since I have one of each I have the matching shoes and accessories issues too! .....and let's not even discuss the fact that I am trying VERY HARD to consolidate and not need a different pair of shoes for every day too!!!:lmao::laughing:
My GOAL is to make it with 3 suitcases between the 3 of us

:thumbsup2

I need a few more names: cgdmom- I have Jill and Courtney I need DD-4 and DH. I also need Gofenmom- your unidentified guest?
Thanks,
Michelle
PS
I organized my FE gifts and now just need to decide what to pack. (My kids are at camp till Friday so we will decide when they get home. They are in Panama City.)

My DH has decided that a suit jacket and "nice pants" count as formal wear. I've given up and will let him stand out in the crowd. I'm not his mom and his mom wouldn't say anything anyway. What I don't get is, this is the guy that was going to wear a tux!

Don't think he will stand our since his nephew best outfit (so far) is khakis, shirt and tie. Working on the jacket. And lets not forgot Chirs' great plan of a hawaiin shirt and jacket. :confused3Of course, that is not going to happen, but not sure a suit will happen either.

OK, I finally remember how to do the photo thing! Josh has much shorter hair now--apparantly the "this too shall pass" is usually true!

Christmas20084.jpg

SO Back row DH Pat, Me Sal, front row DD Sarah 14 and DS Josh 17.

I am sooooooooo enjoying seeing everyone's pictures and being able to TRY to remember the faces that go with the names in......17 days!!! :woohoo::dance3::upsidedow

Last day of school and I finally get to leave at 1pm--that is after I pack the last box, put in my print requests for September, disconnect my computers and they drag me kicking and screaming from the room that I have had for over 10 years:rotfl2:--did I mention I LOVE my current classroom?:teacher:

When I get home tonight I will organize my stuff and begin packing since my flight leaves at 6:55 on Monday!

Just joining you! We are on this cruise too. Our 3rd DCL cruise. This one celebrating DS's high school graduation and our 22nd wedding anniversary. DS-18, between high school and college. This cruise was his one request for a graduation present. He loves DCL and keeps in touch with friends he met on prior cruises. DS-14, high school sophomore. Both sons very sociable and like hanging out with others in their age groups. Counting down the days!

Wish I could figure out the picture thing. We'll be onboard before I get it.

I'd love to try to help you but it was a fluke that I figured it out so my way is probably the long and complicated way! I can tell you that I posted my pictures to Photobucket and then followed the instructions on there to "link to a message board" - and on here I clicked on the little mountain looking icon and pasted the photobucket link in there......

ANYWAY - like I said my directions are probably WAAYYYAAYYY to complicated and confusing!! ??:confused3

But hey - that's OK, cause we will SEE YOU in 16 days!!!!!:yay:
