Our guide, Julie Hughes-Vivas, has apparently retired! Our new guide is Jeff (forgot to get his last name!)

Although we bought in '04, we were first contacted by Julie by a phone follow-up in 1996!

While we never met in person, she was always helpful the few times we needed her.

Wow!! That's a bummer, she was a fantastic guide. I think I've got enough points (for now) but she will be missed by many, many people I'm sure. I hope she enjoys retirement and wish her the best!

She was the best....called everytime we were there, would have us come by and meet our kids as our family grew, and always had wonderful things to say.

We will miss her!!

Julie has been our guide since we bought in back in 2000. I wish her all the best. She was always very nice to us and happy to answer any questions we had.

I am very sad (for me and BF) to hear this, but wish Julie much happiness in retirement. I guess that makes the decision to add on at WDW while there or call Julie to purchase that much easier. Wishing her all the best. While we only joined in 2010, she made it a point to contact us before and/or during every trip.

I wonder who our new guide will be.

Yes Julie is our second DVC guide to retire. We bought originally from one of the three initial DVC guides, Dick Jackson. He retired 3 years later in 1995 and Julie has been our guide ever since. We got to know Julie over the years as her kids and ours grew into adults. She always contacted us on all of our trips. In fact we spoke to her in early November when we were there. We are going back the last week in January and I hope I can get in touch with her. Our family wishes her and her family all the best in her retirement. She deserves it!

You are so right. Julie is the best. She was our first advisor when we purchaced in 1995. As you all said she never failed to call when we were on vacation or not and asked how things were going. She surely will be missed. We also wish here a very happy retirement.

Julie was my 3rd guide since 2008. The first one left the company, the second moved into another job, and now Julie is gone. I guess I'm guide-less at the moment...LOL. No problem. I have no plans to add on right now.

Oh wow, Julie was our guide too. I guess that is why this is the first time we haven't received a call from her during our stay - we just got back the 29th! We met her in person in 2001 during our initial tour and she always called when we stayed in WDW. I wish her a happy retirement!!
