It was/is a coupons off the COMPANYS website. Why are people thinking they can't use it??

Nope, I don't buy it. The company thought they would save money, Instead of mailing out the magazine they thought they would entice teachers to print it out themselves if they included the coupon. They just weren't thinking. Many people send this type of mail on, even without the coupon (the magazine). They screwed up, and now they want to convince us it's fraud. Nope..I fell for that a few days ago, but I've talked with Nestle twice now, and realize they are trying to undo what they have done. This would only be a fraud if I "made" the coupon on my computer. But I didn't..they posted it, I printed it, and they will have to live with the consequences. No way would they ever be able to pass that off as fraud. Shame on them, for trying to add a twist to this.Probably because of this.

It's not wrong. Don't worry about it. Their threats are empty, from both a practical and a legal standpoint.I promise I'm not being snarky here. I really don't understand. If it's a coupon that company posted on their website for people to print off and use, how is it wrong that I printed it to use it???

You know, they even tried to say this was a coupon from 2005, but they hadn't been able to get it off the internet. Well, it's off now, and there was no reason it couldn't have been off before.
I'm sorry, I guess I'm just a horrible person.
But there's no way I'm taking my juice back, or offering to pay for the juice I've already gotten free. And I'll continue to use the coupon until my store tells me otherwise.

I remember that... It seemed to me (at the time) that more people were buying the Entertainment book and redeeming the coupon than they expected. How is that a bad thing, I wonder?this reminds me of a coupon scandle with a free meal deal at Universal. They turned people away for two weeks halfway through the year it was good for (an entertainment book coupon). They cited all kinds of legal jargon but the coupon was legit so they ended up taking it after two weeks of nonsense. Unfortunalty for me I was trying to use it in the nonsense week...

while it might state that
Many people do not see the coupon as counterfeit-- considering it came directly from the manufacturers website.

Please don't misunderstand me. I was not saying that I AGREED with what Nestle had threatened, I was simply responding to the question "Why are people thinking that they can't use it." That perhaps eople are (were?) thinking that they could not use the coupon because Nestle was threatening possible legal action if someone did redeem the coupon. Not that I thought Nestle would actually carry out their threats.
Carry on.![]()
i really think its sort of ridiculous you all are gonna take your juice back and call the grocery store and apologize. DO you really think the grocery store would call you if they realized they overcharged you?? Maybe I'm just not as honest as the rest of you....
I guess my old teacher Sister Rosina would be smacking my hand right now for taking that juicy juice with my so-called illegal coupon...![]()
Maybe it's only in this area? (NJ)![]()
Nope, I'm in Atlanta and none of my stores have taken internet coupons for years (although I have heard that a few stores have started taking cents off internet coupons, but not freebie ones like the JJ coupon).
I don't know if anyone else remembers this, but back early in the days of Internet coupons Dove put out a freebie coupon and people were printing out hundreds of themDove stopped honoring them and a bunch of stores ended up holding the bag for the whole mess. Legitimate coupon users have been penalized for the dishonest few ever since.
I went to stop and shop today and they took my coupon without a problem. I will also use this until the store tells me otherwise. I think Nestle is just trying to scare people into not using this coupon, if you don't use it, they make money, if you do use it, they lose money.
