Oh, okay. So the biggest disadvantage of not staying at your home resort is booking time. Are there any other disadvantages of not staying at your home resort? Are the point charges different for each villa? I know AKV is $104(before the $8 pp credit), what are the point costs at the different villas (for initial buy-in)?
I believe initial buy in is the same cost not matter which resort, but not absolutely sure about that, since our initial purchase was 10 years ago. There are different incentives for various resorts, and the incentive for SSR has to do with developer points etc.

My family and I toured OKW before they called it OKW. We didn't buy then (bad mistake), but when we decided to tour again, when it was just my husband and I in 2002, they put us back in touch with Judy. We are so happy. She is the greatest! No pressure and no question is too silly. She always gets back to us and has called several times when we are down for vacation just to check in with us.

Super Lady!

Count me as another Judy fan!

She probably thought I was the easiest sale ever. I called DVC, was assigned to JUDY, told her I had researched DVC, I was ready to buy, and when could she send the paperwork for me to sign?! :rotfl:

She just laughed! Must happen often. :)

Judy is my guide too and that's exactly what I did:laughing: ! I researched it, finally got my DH to agree, called Judy and asked her to send the paperwork and tell me where to sign. She seemed surprised that I didn't have any questions! Thanks to all of the information on the DIS I really didn't know what to ask, I had all of the information I needed!:goodvibes

she's my guide too.

i really liked her - but i don't think she'll be there much longer.

i was telling her about our plans for our 10th anniversary (in 6 years) and that we could pop in and see her when we stayed at WDW - she laughed and said she would be retired by then.

when i said Oh then we'll have to come sooner. like in 12 - 18 months she said she might still be working.

buy ya - she is a wonderful person.

Judy is our guide also and I agree with everyone else. She mentioned to me also about retiring soon, so I will have to finish all my add-ons soon! :thumbsup2

I am new to dvc and considering buying. My question is, why have several small contracts?

I may not understand the policies, help me out...

If I buy 160 AKV and my use year starts in may, can't I book all 160 at another villas, lets say boardwalk in June? Am I missing something? Do you have to spend part of your stay at your home resort?

Well... we made the mistake of buying one contract at BWV. Don't get me wrong... we love BWV, but lately, we've been desiring to own at both VB and AKV. The problem is... we can't sell just a portion of our contract and buy a bit of another resort. We can only sell our WHOLE contract. Which, we're not ready to do.

Hi! Can someone post or PM me her phone #? I had it at one time, but I'm not sure where it is now. She was very helpful to me when my guide was too busy. Thanks!

Can someone please post or PM me her phone #? Thanks!

We just bought in through Judy and she was so helpful - we got exactly what we wanted, and felt no pressure whatsoever.
