Just out of curiousity, I was checking out the FTW website and reading details about an intimate wedding. It includes a minimum 4 night stay at certain resorts-moderates and most deluxes, and tickets. What if you don't want those particular hotel accomodations? And tickets, what do you do if you have AP's and don't need the tickets?

If you don't want to stay at one of the moderates or deluxes resorts, and/or if you already have AP's your best bet is to do the intimate "add-on"...basically it's the same as the regular package without the resort accommodations or the tickets. But! I think you still need to be staying on Disney property (DVC or one of the value resorts) for at least 4 nights (although I did hear about possible changes coming that would change all this...you might want to call Disney Fairy Tale Weddings and find out! :)

The new package ( 2006)doesn't include that anyway, not sure if it is still a requirement though.

That's right, 2006 intimate weddings no longer include accommodation, tickets or the officiant, but you still have to stay on Disney property for a minimum of 4 nights.
I was quoted $3200 for the wedding pavillion package.

I wonder what they are going to do for 2007 at this rate. I know that you can call 18 months in advance I wondering if they give you 2006 package and price or will I have to wait until 2007 for prices and package?

That is sort of confusing. It is still $3200 w/no tickets? What if people are DVC members (like me) and want to use their points to stay at a DVC resort? Then they don't need 4 nights of accomodations.

Unfortunately, I think what it means is less for more ($$$)...

I don't mean that to be cynical but that does appear to be the case. However, I did hear that there were changes in store for the photography package included with the intimate wedding...so maybe there are other changes that will compensate some...but I don't know.

I hope you all get whatever makes you happy no matter what! :)

I am so confused it is not even funny.

I wish they did something like here are the cost and pick what you want in that cost.
Or so something like a small custom wedding you have min but on a smaller scale but with limit of people

i also heard that the new intimate package will include a small meal/reception afterwards. so hopefully it will work out better for intimate brides in the end.

I spoke with Dinsey twice this week. Firstly they told me it was $4300 for the premium ( wedding pavillion) package (officiant, violinist, cake & keepsake, limousine, flowers, champagne reception,12 photos, 4 nights accommodation & tickets for duration), next day they telephoned me and said that 2006 bookings no longer included the officiant, tickets or accommodation, but the price was $3200 .
The deluxe package was cheaper at $2350.
I am planning a stay at the GF which is now going to cost us $4500 for one week including tickets.
