If I may, I'd like to suggest that you contact Dr Couto at OSU ( Ohio State ) He is an expert in canine oncology and he will look at your records and may suggest a treatment. I know he's shipped chemo to vets in other areas to treat pets.

Thank you. There is actually an oncologist in RI that is going to review the records and talk with his previous owner who is a DVM. She is as upset as I am.

Dawn, I don't know if you have any interest in alternative therapies, but there is an amazing vet (integrative, he does traditonal and holistic) in South Salem, NY (on CT border)....Dr. Marty Goldstein at Smith Ridge Veterinary. We see an associate of his and she has helped Hooch's allergies tremendously.

So sorry. Don't give up hope though. My 6 yr old kitty had a very aggresive cancer that the vet gave him 2 wks and we had him another 6 months. I hope your consults with the oncology vet goes well. I feel for you--I know how hard it is.

I'm so sorry Dawn, and so very sad. I was hoping so strongly that Jude would be OK.

Since his outlook and actions are so deceiving and positive I would hold out hope for more time. There are so many cases of animals and humans living longer than what was first suspected.

Wow, four to cancer. How awful. I never think of cancer being as prevailant in the canine world. I have known two goldens with lung cancer.
Jude had a good morning. He ate okay, peed okay and went back to bed. Then when he smelled the omelet I was cooking, out he bounded. I gave him half. When we went outside he ran across the street to visit April the lab. She wasn't out. He has a lot of energy today.
