Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

I just subscribed to your videos.

Seeing Henry at the pool is so cute and sweet!

I remember melting away watching LMA too. My dad and I left before the end of the show since we couldn't take it anymore. And they were barely doing anything during the show since a lot of the stuff wasn't safe enough that day.

Great updates Brook!! I tell you, your SciFi experience sounds oddly familiar ;) I wonder if it's something about that place!

I love all your pictures, as usual!

I'm hoping to take Ryan to see Lights, Motor, Action next month. It's not my favorite either, but I think he'll enjoy it!!!

I like how you can see the hat and ToT from way up there!

I began to slowly melt.

Seriously. It was so amazingly HOT. I remember sitting there with the fan blowing on me, dripping.

Henry loved, loved, loved this! It has become a "must do" on our list. I am certain after a few more showings of it, I will graciously allow the boys to attend the show and I'll go hang out at the Animator's Studio...:rolleyes1

100_3810.jpg

Great minds think alike! I also liked how you could see the skyline of HS and even the Swan/Dolphin! Except I had a pole in my view and our show got rained out! I have yet to see the whole show! But I do like your idea of just hanging at the Animator's studio while the boys watch the cars.

Wow! You can see the sticky humidity on your skin!

Yeah.... the stunt show is not something you want to watch when its that hot outside!!! The first time I saw it was labor day weekend as well, and I remember feeling like, trapped b/c you can't move around and I was dying!!!! Glad Henry loved it though :goodvibes

I did feel a bit trapped and very uncomfortable...thankfully were at the end of a row, I think that helped a LOT!

How adorable Henry was during the show!

He was glued!

I love kids who want to hug crayons! lol

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:goodvibes Thanks! I usually will upload a whole bunch at one time. I have some video from church I want to get up on there too - Henry's performance during the Christmas play.

Wow, it must have been REALLY hot for them to not be able to do certain things due to the heat! I probably would have left too...not fun at all.

Interesting about your SciFi experience, have you written about that yet? You'd think it would be pretty attractive to little ones, cars + giant TV!

I bet Ryan will love LMA!

I didn't even notice the Swolphin back there!! Very cool!

That is a bummer about being rained out - you have to catch it at least once...it really is pretty neat. But after a while...:rolleyes1

I know, it was just icky!! My little fan didn't do a thing for me.

Ugh, I can just imagine how hot you must have been, but seeing Henry's enjoyment must have made it worth it!!! I love that mesmorized look on his face during the show.

So we just hung out at one of the tables and soaked in the atmosphere and enjoyed doing nothing!

I browsed the Times Guide and noted Beauty and the Beast was about to start. I suggested it, thinking Joe would not be too keen on it, but to my surprise, he was all game!

Up next: A perfect way to pass the time

Great pic

I just made the "big to do list" for the trip, and it didn't include finishing this, from the looks of it...I better keep rolling on this while I have a free minute! :goodvibes

We left off having a drink break at the little food court area, and Joe had just agreed to see Beauty & the Beast. This would be a first for us!

It had cooled down by quite a bit and it looked like it was going to rain, so we parked the stroller and covered it with the little plastic cover we have, and in we went!

I thought of Brooklynn during this show, remembering how much she would light up during it! :cutie:

646553043_pkbdA-M.jpg

We didn't need to worry about Henry getting squirmy, he enjoyed every moment!

We all really enjoyed this show, I think Joe liked it more than he thought he would.

And sure enough, while we were watching the show it did rain-just a bit, enough to cool things down a bit more and turn the hot sticky day into a beautiful evening.

Next we took turns on RnRC. The FP return line was pretty long, but I headed in anyway and had an awesome ride! I love that roller coaster, I scream the entire way through...Joe is very much looking forward to riding with me next week so he can laugh at me screaming...

While Joe went on, Henry and I scoped out a bench and people watched.

And then I watched people get Mickey Bars at a cart across the street from me.

Then I decided we needed one. ::yes::

Henry didn't protest.

646551950_AJfgn-M.jpg

And while I don't have a picture of evidence, Henry managed to get Mickey Bar on his toes. I remember going through several wipes cleaning him up!

It was a lovely moment with my little boy. Sitting on a bench at DHS, eating a Mickey Bar, laughing at how much he managed to get all over him, and trying to keep him somewhat neat all the while trying to keep ME somewhat neat...I think a Mickey Bar is a most excellent way to pass the time!

646551843_R2dMv-M.jpg

Looks like he's making motor noises in this picture...it's a pretty safe bet being he has McQueen on his tray and Red in his hand!

After Joe returned from his ride I admitted that we had a little treat.

And naturally Joe wanted one too!

646551805_4KkWS-M.jpg

Which also means Henry ended up with some.

Chocolate face!

After Joe finished his Mickey Bar, we started to mosey and the park's neon had just come on. I love the neon, architecture and palm trees of DHS especially at dusk, so, so pretty!

People camped out watching the evenings finale of American Idol

646551700_zxVpC-M.jpg

I loved this chick's hair. So much that yes, I took a picture of it!

It was around here Joe mentioned he was ready for dinner. I had sorta set my sights on eating dinner outside the park, but he suggested Pizza Planet.

We ate at Pizza Planet on our Disneymoon, but hadn't been back since. On the November 2008 trip we both had "stomach issues" that trip, and I very much remember just the smell of Pizza Planet as we walked past being horrible.

When Joe suggested it, I internally recoiled because I related the food to the feeling I had in November 2008. I couldn't recall our experience from our Disneymoon.

Forcing myself to be flexible, I agreed - I wasn't terribly hungry, but let's go for it!

Because we were on the meal plan we eneded up with a boatload of food. 2 pizzas, 2 salads, 2 beverages and 2 desserts.

646553921_jTNBT-M.jpg

Cheese for me and Henry

646553909_6jEdk-M.jpg

Pepperoni for Joe

646553870_cCqxR-M.jpg

2 salads for me.

646553226_rLMo4-M.jpg

Lovely!

We ate upstairs, on the end that is above the cash registers. It wasn't busy in there, but we weren't alone. For some reason, the atmosphere of it all caught me, and I found myself in that awesome Disney groove where everything is good. :thumbsup2

646553207_EW5Tv-M.jpg

This guy was right across from our table.

646553202_DBEik-M.jpg

We really enjoyed our meal here! The pizza was much better than I expected. I was very happy Joe had suggested it, and I overcame my negative association with it.

Of course Henry was itchin' to go play with the games....

646553170_j2uTT-M.jpg

646553116_Dp9mV-M.jpg

Car games, of course.

646556121_i4LCe-M.jpg

And motorcycle games!

We eventually peeled him away from the games and decided we would hit up Star Tours if there wasn't much of a line....

Up next: Our little Juan.

OMG I just looked at your ticker and you have 2 days left!!! You must be so excited :)

Great updates, looks like you found another attraction to do next time in LMA. Love the arcade pics from PP

Henry looks like he is concerntrating v hard in this pic :)

It's 482 degrees out and a raging ball of fire is feet away.

Only at Disney World.
Only for my boys!
;)

Henry loved, loved, loved this! It has become a "must do" on our list. I am certain after a few more showings of it, I will graciously allow the boys to attend the show and I'll go hang out at the Animator's Studio...:rolleyes1

The sacrifices a mom will make for her family are endless...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I'll second that! :thumbsup2 Glad you enjoyed Beauty and the Beast!

I love this picture!!

So sweet!

since my May trip is girls only, Beauty and the Beast is on my must-see list (along with Little Mermaid) because I know my boys will have no interest in them. We missed LMA last year but I'm sure it will still be around for the next trip with my boys, I'm sure they will love it too!

Mmmm, Pizza Planet!

Great pictures from the Beauty and the Beast show. I haven't seen that in so long! But I know we have pretty much the entire thing on video from one of our trips. haha!

Great pictures! I loved Henry on the bike at the arcade...that is a great picture!!! :thumbsup2

See you in a few days!

Just got caught up on your updates and videos. I LOVE how Henry signs "more" after you ask him "wasnt that awsome" after meeting the cars characters. SO precious:lovestruc Alexa has pretty much quit using her signs, although she will use "more" at times.

I also enjoyed him squealing with happiness at the water jets. He is absolutely adorable:thumbsup2

I know you are so excited about your trip being so close. Hope your family has a Merry Christmas and a Magical Disney Trip:grouphug:

i havent been good about commenting on anyones reports with all the christmas craziness but i have been reading along. i just cant believe how big your son looks. he is so cute. we always go to pizza planet the kids just love it. it is funny the stuff kids appreciate in disney ( doughy pizza and video games lol) i dont mind it, toy story is one of my favorite movies so its a given.

I am VERY excited!!! :dance3: I can't believe we leave so soon!!

He was so funny on those motorcycle games, he knew exactly how to ride it. We never put money in the machines, he doesn't know the difference...yet...but he gets very serious still about his playing!

The sacrifices a mom will make for her family are endless...:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Oh yes! You have to squeeze in those girly things! I never really thought about that, eventually B&B and LM will be a no-go for us I suppose...

If I ever do a girls-only trip I am eating in the Castle!

Mmmm, Pizza Planet!

Great pictures from the Beauty and the Beast show. I haven't seen that in so long! But I know we have pretty much the entire thing on video from one of our trips. haha!

That's a good idea, tape the whole show then you can see it whenever you'd like! :thumbsup2 I could probably piece together most of Playhouse Disney...

Look at this cute little face watching BATB!

He really liked the music!

Great pictures! I loved Henry on the bike at the arcade...that is a great picture!!! :thumbsup2

See you in a few days!

Thanks! Can you believe it?!
It's already starting to snow and sleet here...:sad2:

Henry has almost quit his signs now too...:guilty: I was just talking to Joe about that last night because I noticed it in the video as well and it made me feel like he's grown up SO much since September! :sad2: But, Joe reassured me that he just did "more" to him the other day. And every once in a while he does "milk". Ahhhh, another sign of growing up!

Aren't those little baby squeals the best?! I almost wrote "Baby squeals!" in that video description because I just love the shrieks and am SO happy we got them on camera!

Thank you for the well wishes! I can't believe we are so close! I hope you and your family also has a Merry Christmas!

I completely understand about the craziness! I have been having a hard time keeping up. Thank you so much for your sweet words! It is funny to see what kids like at Disney - it's not the things we would immediately think, but little things, like arcade games! I don't mind it a bit either, it's fun! (and I really liked the food!)
