Juan says "BAAAA!" - 12/24 - Our last few Disney hours. COMPLETE

YES, YES, YES! That is my hammock. I truly believe that I should become a "permanent" resident in that hammock too. :lmao:

:rotfl: I thought of you while taking that picture!!! I even told Joe about your love for that hammock!

I can CERTAINLY see why. What a view! :cloud9: And yes, I agree. A permanent resident of that hammock would be a GREAT place to live! Nice grass there too.

These CSR pictures are making me homesick today sitting here on a rainy Minnesota cold day!

Wow! CSR is one beautiful resort! I've never stayed there or even visited, but I'm definitely going to have to, at least, check it out next trip.

Great update! A good nap is just the thing to prepare for an evening at MK. Can't wait to hear about the evening. popcorn::

I am so glad that you enjoyed your rope-drop-then-afternoon-break-day!! :goodvibes:goodvibes I think I was one of the people telling you to go for it because it really is worth the effort! :thumbsup2

CSR really is very beautiful. Thanks for the many pictures!

Thanks for the update, it sounds like you are really busy with your new life. That's wonderful, it shows that you love what you are doing. I had a look at your blog, I am fascinated by the American culture of coupons, we really don't have them that much... :confused3 I loved your post about the arch! It is such a great story for kids. In Germany we have a tradition of wooden toys which are animal figures in pairs to go on an arch. It was in some areas supposed to be the only toy acceptable to play with on Sundays in the 19th century.

It sounds really nice to just stop and enjoy your surroundings. I wish DH would let me do that!:lmao:

Henry looks like he was having a ball in the big pool with Joe! That picture of him on the lounge chair just made me grin from ear to ear!:goodvibes

I know, I'm a horrible Mommy, aren't I? ;) It was fun though, I'm glad we did it, like you said, you never know what he's going to like until we try!

Ha! I'm sure there were many people ready to give me the "worst Mommy in the World" award when I forced my crying 10 year old onto RnRC - but guess what?? He loved it just like I knew he would! He ran around and got right back in line to ride it again - I was wishing all of those people in line that were giving me dirty looks had been there to see that..... :rolleyes1

I wonder if they are going to have a new little coaster instead of the Barnstormer? I would love to have Henry actually ENJOY it at some point...but maybe we'll just have to wait until he can brave BTMRR.

From what I understand they aren't taking it away at all, just re-theming it to go along with Dumbo. :confused3

Beautiful pictures of CSR! I too love the one of Henry on the chair, he's just so stinkin' cute!

Beautiful update!
I have walked around a pretty good portion of Coronado Springs, and it is indeed so very pretty. I'm glad you resisted the urge to be in a hurry and were able to enjoy the flowers, the water, the pretty architecture, etc. I have a picture of that hammock, too, somewhere.

This is November, which touches December. It still seems a good little bit away, but in terms of how many more paychecks I'll get between now and trip time, it seems all too fast!

Henry behind bars makes me guess you did make it to Magic Kingdom just fine. :)

Love seeing CSR again. We never even stepped foot in the baby pool.... Luke would sure love it now. I thought the pool food was yummy too.... and the grounds were beautiful!

I really enjoy afternoon breaks too!

Great update Brook! Loved the photos! I’m so glad you enjoyed a nice relaxing afternoon at the resort. Looks like Henry was having a blast swimming. I hear you on the sharing lessons. We’ve had a few of those ourselves! Can’t wait to read more!

CSR looks so beautiful! I think I will have to check it out one of these days. ;)

I :lovestruc mid afternoon breaks! They really make it feel more like a vacation and not rushing all over the place. :thumbsup2

It really is a very pretty resort! Everywhere you look is palm trees, the beautiful lake, and flowers. We really loved it.

The afternoon break was very nice! It felt good to re-charge.

It was definitely worth the effort of getting up early and out the door, I'm really glad we did it. I would actually prefer if we toured this way in the future too! We usually let Henry be our alarm, and he wakes up anywhere between 6 am and 8:30 am... So....we'll see!

I had no idea Germany doesn't do coupons!! That is pretty surprising! I wonder if other countries do them too, or if we are just the weird ones. :confused3 ;)

That is very interesting about ark being the only acceptable toy in the 19th century!! Wow, I cannot even imagine being the Mom of a 2 year old and finding some possible way to get him to only play with 1 toy the entire day...!!!!! :lmao: It's been fun trying to figure out ways to teach Henry things I want him to learn. We have been working on letters too...so far he knows T O and A. He gets antsy and distracted quickly, so the lessons are short!

It sounds really nice to just stop and enjoy your surroundings. I wish DH would let me do that!:lmao:

That's funny that your DH is the commando one! Joe always feels like we don't get enough 'down time'. But this past trip he actually rushed me a few times!

Henry really loved the pool time with Joe. It was fun to stand by and watch them and listen to his laughs.

Ha! I'm sure there were many people ready to give me the "worst Mommy in the World" award when I forced my crying 10 year old onto RnRC - but guess what?? He loved it just like I knew he would! :rotfl: That's funny about your 10 year old! That's awful that people were giving you dirty looks about it!! All well, you'll never see them again, right? :goodvibes

That is GREAT to hear about Barnstormer! I'm so glad they are just re-theming it. I haven't looked much into all that yet, I'm so far behind on my Disney news.

Beautiful update!

I am really glad we took time to get back to the room too. It is a quick walk, but there was so much to see!

It does seem WAY to fast, and WAY too few paychecks. Or at least the paychecks just aren't large enough...

Yep, I figured at least a couple people would recognize that update title! :goodvibes

Love seeing CSR again. We never even stepped foot in the baby pool.... Luke would sure love it now. I thought the pool food was yummy too.... and the grounds were beautiful!

I really enjoy afternoon breaks too!

Isn't CSR so pretty? Just gazing at the pictures today on this cold winter day made me long to be there! Ahhhh! I'm glad Kidani is just around the corner!!

I really enjoyed this afternoon break too! Our current touring plans for December call for one everyday, while the parks are their busiest. It will be interesting burning the candle at both ends, I'm going to be pooped! But, we'll have a blast I'm sure!

Great update Brook! Loved the photos! I’m so glad you enjoyed a nice relaxing afternoon at the resort. Looks like Henry was having a blast swimming. I hear you on the sharing lessons. We’ve had a few of those ourselves! Can’t wait to read more!

The Cars were just too cool - every kid wanted them! I made Henry share, and the other parents were good about it-they would let their child play for a while, then bring it back. It all worked out pretty well!

It was a great afternoon break! I just liked lounging around and doing nothing for a bit in the hottest part of the day.

Brook, the pictures of Henry at the pool are wonderful. I love the one on the lounge chair. And sometimes it is a good thing to just be an "observer."

I adore mid-afternoon breaks at the pool! Sometimes it is just what we need to have energy for the evening fun!

Henry is so cute being goofy on the lounge chair!

Beautiful shots of the pool and grounds of CSR!

You must have a steal stomache.

I love the comment about the lush grass.
I thought the same thing and a CM told me the grass is full of fire ants.
This was at the MK, but I'm thinking, they didn't want you sitting in the grass.

I love your pictures of Henry, he reminds me so much of my son with red hair.

My dh is up in your state, Thief River Falls, or Thieve River Falls.
His company is putting in gas lines up in the area.
They are staying at a Casino.
He said it has a great indoor water park and rooms are $45 a nite.
I laughed and said, they don't want you spending on your room, but in their casino.

He was pushing it in, and grunting. It was so funny!

Isn't that shirt cute?! If I remember correctly it's a bit of a fitted style too, so it will be very flattering.

I think Henry's favorite ride so far of this trip would have been the Tomorrowland Speedway. Overall, he REALLY enjoyed the TTA in both November and January of our previous trips. He would giggle and laugh the entire way through. Nemo (coming up!) is also a big hit.

Lol so cute, would have been even funnier if he pulled it out, bet he would have tried to put it back :rotfl:

Fitted tees are nice and like you say quite flattering.
Not bad rides for him to favour, looking forward to hearing about Nemo (is such a cute ride).

I can't believe it! I have SO MUCH TO DO!!! :scared1: But, I'm soooo excited!!! :yay:

You started planning ADR's etc?

Latest Update

Love the pics of CSR and Henry looks like he is having a ball in the kiddy pool. Its nice to have a relaxing day and still feel like you accomplished something :)

Looking forward to more :)

My blog is http://savingmynickels.blogspot.com. A lot of it is about just our town, BUT, a lot of it is also printable coupons and freebies which anyone can use. And I do post some Target/Wal*Mart deals, so those are good for most anyone too.

Your blog is awesome. I wish that you lived in my town, so I could take advantage of your great information even more. I pride myself on being a deal finder, but you beat me hands down. You have made me want to be even better at finding deals. I just don't know how you find the time, to find all those great coupons and stuff. You are great. :worship:

I bet anything that you already know this, but I wanted to share it just in case. One of my best deals that I look forward to is after Christmas at Target in the toys section. For the past two years, I have made out like a bandit, but you have to be quick, and you never know when it will happen. But Target some time in January will put sometimes up to two aisles of toys at 75% off. My two big deals over the two past years have been A little tykes Puppet Theater (for like 18 bucks) and a Smores furreal pony (for 50 bucks down from 200)

As we left the pool area, I commented about how I enjoyed the afternoon break, Joe agreed and thought this was our most utilized day ever at WDW. It was relaxing, and slow paced, yet we had already accomplished a ton! I admitted that part of me was freaking out about the time-MK was closing at 7 pm that night and I just wanted to run frantically all over the park, BUT, I forced myself to slow down, not worry, and just take the day as it came...I'm glad I did! We slowly moseyed back to the room and soaked in some more of the resort.

I know exactly how you feel. You really do feel like you're missing out on something by taking some downtime, it's so conflicting. I think having a small child forces you to go back to your resort and relax. We had some of the best moments of our trip at AKV. Hanging out at the resort made us focus on each other instead of all of the surroundings at the parks. We even canceled some ADRs and opted to hang out at the pool. In all our 10 trips we've never done that!

Looking forward to Henry behind bars, Lucas (again) wanted NOTHING to do with the characters, plastic, furry, or face. :confused3

I am really enjoying staying at home. It's more physically exhausting since I'm chasing a toddler, cleaning, cooking, etc. but wow - I'm getting things done that have been neglected. My house is NOT a complete sty, and we are eating better, I feel more balanced...Henry seems happier-he's less whiny, and sleeps even better! It's been a good move for all of us!

I'm glad to hear it's going well! I'm amazed that you're getting stuff done though. When I was home with the kids I NEVER got stuff done! I'd put them to bed at the end of the day and look around the house and think "what the heck did I do all day?" My house was still a sty! :confused3

Great update! I'm loving the CSR pictures!
:thumbsup2

Wow, that is crazy you've never done a break before. We've always had park hoppers so we're always going back to the resort for a while.

Great pictures of the resort. It looks awesome! Looks like a relaxing afternoon.
