I got this problem in my homework this week. I solved it, but just wondered if anyone else out there could get the solution. It is pretty easy.
Who won the jousting tournament?
There are ten knights, numbered #1 through #10, participating in the jousting tournament. Knight #1 fights with #2 to start the tournament. Winner of that then fights #3; and winner of that then jousts with #4, and so on.
Clues:
1. Seven of the ten knights won NO contests.
2. One contest was between #5 and #6
3. One contest was between #7 and #9
4. #2 did NOT joust against #4
Find:
1. Participants in the nine bouts, in order.
2. The winner of each bout.
