Journey To Atlantis for chickens?

Hi, I was just wondering is this ride scary in anyway with creatures jumping out at you? Ive read on other sites that creatures come quite near to your ride vehicle, just a bit worried thats all

***Warning, Some Spoilers Ahead***
It's a little bit scary at the beginning of the ride (you're in an enclosed, dark, area & there are some scary looking things but it's all part of the "theming" of the ride & doesn't last for very long. I've been on the ride numerous x's & don't recall anything ever jumping out at me. On the way up (just before the drop, there is a large, scary decoration-a face/mask type thing-with glowing eyes hanging right above your head....I'd say that's about the worst of it. I wasn't sure whether my (then) 4 yo would like it & it turned out that she did BUT she made sure to close her eyes during some of the scary parts.

The drop on this ride is Great! Also, there is a cool element of surprise-close to the end of the ride that I totally wasn't expecting the first time (I won't give it away). I look forward to going on this ride every time we go to SW! Oh, and watch out you may get Very Wet!

You also may want to remove your hat if you have one. Last time my Uncle went on this ride (fun ride by the way) he lost his hat. It was the only ride he lost it on, never really took it off. Maybe some wind hit it just right or something, but just thought I'd toss that out. Have fun!

Good question! I wasn't sure of the answer & wanted to know too, So I googled it & this is what I came up with:

(Splash): This flume ride takes you through the Song of the South story filled with audio animatronics and then down a 52 ft. drop at 40 MPH.

(Journey): At 60-feet, the drop of Journey of (to) Atlantis is one of the steepest in the world. You'll never know what's around the corner as you travel by rail and water and are chased by spirits who want to keep Atlantis.
