Julie, I am really praying for your niece, with modern medicine she'll be fine but of course anything out of the ordinary is always scary.

I am so sorry ds21 is having some issues and that dh is working against you (and ds21 too). Just keep hanging in there and know we are all thinking about you, pulling for you and ds21 and sending some prayers out your way.

We are supposed to get mostly rain, not snow this week, so if you get snow, don't blame me! As for the pollen, I think its all right here in my backyard, my allergies are so bad I can hardly function. So hopefully its not bad for you in NM!!

So, I woke up Monday morning feeling like I could get back on track. Ran errands, went to the gym & swam for 45 min, stayed OP...until about 1 a.m. when DD & I were both falling asleep doing her 2 projects. Then we ate cookies & chips. GRRRRR!!!!!!!

Tuesday was OK, but totally exhausted after 3 hrs sleep. Picked DD up at school ( in what is now DS21 car), ran to the grocery. On the way home she grabbed DS21 cigarette pack to look at it cuz it was black(Indian cigs from the Res) No cigs inside, just a small glass pipe. DH gets home & I told him. He went out to get it (as DS21 was still asleep) says he needs to talk to DS21 again. DUH!!!! Maybe more than talk! DS21 gets up & DH talks to him. DS21 says it's only 'weed' and he will smoke weed the rest of his life, that it's legal in every country but here & should be, & goes on for about 20 min extolling the virtues of drugs. After DS21 gets in the shower, I comment to DH that DS21 has been back home for 3 yrs, nothing has changed & I don't think it ever will as long as he has everything he needs from us & we bail him out. DH blew up at ME, complained that he is 'old' and can't deal with MY #@#%$, and left for the casino. Needless to say I was up til after midnight when DH finally got home, still up at 3 when DS18 needed up.

On a positive note, the Desk, armoire & bookcases finally sold off craigslist. Unfortunately, DS18 bug & cycle still have not.

I'm with you, Amy, the pollen here is horrid. I feel like I can't breathe & my lungs chest hurt all the time. Welcome, Spring!!

Pearlie, you are so sweet checking up on me from FL!!! I can't wait to get there!!

So, my weight stinks, I can't seem to stay on track a whole day. I'm managing to keep up with the crunches, but almost no other exercise. I'm just exhausted all the time.

As of now, my plan is to try to get fairly securely to the 150s before the trip in July. That, and NOT gain weight while at my DSis house, and to try to step up the exercise. Will it happen....maybe is the best answer I have. At least I'm not really gaining.

DS18 has 3 more days of class until finals. Hoping & praying he keeps his scholarship. He's fine now, but if he fails any final(ie math) he fails the class

As of today I am 17 days from leaving for FL for babies, 75 days from leaving for FL and 85 days til cruise. That is NOT long!!!!

Well,today I've actually stayed OP! (even if I did have cookies for breakfast )

DNiece1 has adjusted to the fact that she may not be induced on 5/11. She did, however, IMHO, do the right thing and go to her school nurse to get her opinion (she's also an er nurse) and see if she should notify her class. She goes to get swabbed again for MRSA on Tues. If she is all clear, she could go in on 5/12 after her Dr. appt as that is when her OB is back in town & on call. She is having her last day teaching be 5/9 no matter what.

DNiece2, the rail, is starting to swell & have BP problems like she did with her 1st. 1st time she gained almost 20 lbs of fluid in the last 2 wks. OUCH!!! And this is on a frame that typically only holds about 98 lbs and about 105 when preggo! Nurse at school (they teach at the same school even, 2nd & 3rd grade) is checking her bp 2x day, but I bet she takes off about the same time as her DSis.

I think my DSis(their mom) is in for a fun ride the next couple weeks with the 19 mo old & the 31 mo old to deal with if their mommies are on bedrest or off their feet. But, there's no way I can go before the 17th unless it's really a big emergency as I have duties here.

DD had a teen girl explosion at me tonight. Picked her up & headed to return a movie & she said 'know what we should do? go to the mall'. I immediately answered that we had no car tonight but that it is on my Sat. list(I was in DS21s). She howled that I don't even listen. she didn't mean tonight & I just assume & get mad.

then she wanted a cherry chocolate blizzard from DQ. I gave in. On the way there she says 'so, can I get my lip pierced?' First I laughed & asked her why she would want to. She says they're pretty...(ick!). I said that there was no way, that she needs to think down the road when her skin sags & she can't stop drooling out the hole! Then I said that she's having enough problems with her double pierced ears wearing the small gaugeing earrings - her ears are peeling, bleeding & infected but she won't admit it's the plastic earrings. She then did the 'everyone has their lip pierced' it's common, thing! I said, yes, it's common if you want people to look at you like you're a freak! She continued to argue and I told her that if 'hood' & 'freak' are the look you're going for, it's good. And, that looking like that would NOT attract the kind of guys she wants to attract. So, she told me she can't talk to me about anything, that next time she's not even going to ask, that all I do is 'freak out' and 'scream'. None of which I did, but she did!! So, I politely informed her that if she pulls the I'm not telling you anything act, that there will be no car, no dating, no NOTHING w/o Mom or Dad as long as she is in my house. What fun!!

Back to the original train of thought......

So, DS18 didn't need picked up tonight so DH came home a bit early and has been asleep since about 5:30, DD is holed up in her room- hopefully sleeping, DS21 is at a friends (hate to think what they're up to) & DS18 won't be home for a couple hours. So, the dogs & I are surfing the net & hanging with friends! At least they're quiet & I'm getting a bit of peace!

didn't make WW today as I had no car. I intended to walk, but it is so windy here it's unbelievable! 35 steady w/ gusts to 65+!! Then imagine the blowing SAND!!!!!

So, tomorrow is DS18 working from 4a-8a needing ride each way, then hopefully WI, then a friend wants me to go to the casino w/ her from about 10 - 12, then I take DS18 back to UNM for a psych study group from 1 - 5. DD needs picked up at school at 2:25 & taken to work at 4:45 (not sure who is going to do that run) then pick her up at 10p.

Another normal day!!

Well, off to potty dogs & get them ready for bed. (& me too!)

Sat & Sun were basically OP! DH dropped DS18 off to drum yesterday morning & came back with a tray of HUGE cinnamon rolls. Got mad that I didn't eat any, but I had a tiny sliver - about 1/8" x 1/2" just for taste.

12 days til I leave for FL. Can't wait! DS18 has 2 days of classes left, a bio lab final thurs night, then finals next week in 3 classes and 2 papers to turn in. He is really ready for it to be over.

DD has this week, 3 days next, the 2 days of finals & she is done. Last choir concert is this Thurs night, so it is finally winding down.

I haven't made the gym, but I'm finally seeing progress in my house. I've got to get it under control & carpets done upstairs before I leave. I know it will be BAD when I get back!!!

My allergies are horrid & I feel like I've got a sinus infection brewing...again. But what to expect when pollen has been in the very high range for over a month! DD has a horrid sore throat, so I imagine we'll be off to the Dr before we leave.

I'm gradually getting a bit of packing done. So much to take - mainly stuff to leave at DSis & the kids stuff. But also extras I will want on the train on the way home.

Mia is starting to go into heat, so about next week, we won't sleep due to Max 'trying'. Timing is BAD for our cruise, but I've no real reason to believe he will get it right this time, so I'm taking the chance. If he does get it right, I'll have to find someone to keep Mia & puppies.....time will tell!

I've a gazillion errands to run today. May go look at some new bedroom furn for DD that I saw on Craigslist. She's had hers since she was about 4 and wants something different, a bit more adult. I'm not willing to pay big bucks, though!

I guess I should say "happy Cinco de Mayo" since I live in NM! Or as DS21 says 'happy Cerveza de Mayo' which is more appropo here.

DS18 scheduled his classes for fall....math, Russian, Statistics, Latin.....what a kid!!! But he only needs the math & stat & has to fill with something. He will try 3 days classes in the fall...but just from 9 - 1 & be done! And with that schedule, he can catch the RailRunner from near his work if he needs to and save on some gas.

More later........ still waiting on babies in FL! I personally hope they both wait til I'm there & go at the same time!

Great job staying OP, Julie! How did you resist the cinnamon rolls? I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but when it comes to cinnamon rolls, I can eat the whole bunch!

Good job taking care of yourself while all of this is swirling around you. I'm sorry to hear about the tough family situation and the discomforts of your nieces--hopefully all goes well there and they're not too uncomfortable while waiting for the big event.

Good luck to your DD and DS as they finish off the school year! Finals and end of the year stuff can sure be a bear.

Julie, I am proud of you for staying OP so much in spite of all you have going on. I am so sorry you found the pipe. I can't imagine how hard that must be. Well done for resisting the cinnamon rolls (a tiny sliver is still resisting in my book). I had to laugh at the lip piercing thing, why oh why, is being a mom so hard? My dd is 11 and I can see the writing on the wall!

Keep up your good work, I am proud of you!

Well, yesterday was OP & today I saw a number on the old scale I haven't seen in awhile. Hopefully it will last.

Today is shampoo the dining room day. It's the puppy's fav spot - & therefore everyone elses when they have accidents too!
It will be fun trying to keep all the dogs contained while I do carpets.

Finally feels like spring is here to stay. Hopefully I'll get a chance to get out today & enjoy a bit.

More later. Off to start moving the furniture & get some breakfast. I'll be off & on today so will get to journals later!

dining room is done! Vacuumed, shampooed 4 x with 3 different things to detox, now waiting for it to dry, vacuum again, put furn back, dust & I'll be done. Wish I could close it off & never let anyone in again. NOT!!! It's open!!

And, the glass co. called and they are delivering the glass for the top of my desk this afternoon. Which means I have to clear a path for them to walk. (dining table & chairs are currently at the front door), clear the desktop, dust/polish, empty the hutch, remove the hutch (that will be a trick!) all by 3 & DD will be home about 2:30. Ay, Caramba! it never ends!!

So far OP on food. Definitely count the shampooing as exercise. My arms/chest will be killing me tomorrow!

DNiece1 goes for her MRSA swab this afternoon. Takes 48 hours. If she's all clear, when she sees her regular OB on Monday at 11, they expect her to be admitted to induce since her OB is on call Mon night & all day Tues. If she's not clear, they'll test again Friday, & hopefully induce her with her sister the following Monday....unless someone goes into labor!

Off to do my 200 crunches....at least I've stuck with something. today is day 44 - that's 8800 Crunches!!!! Somewhere there must be abs!!

Yep, Tracy, now at 9200!

Made it to WW this morning. Down 1.8. finally a loss!! I've also set myself what I hope is a more realistic goal before the cruise. To lose 10 lbs. which would put me BARELY into the lower half of the 150s - 154.8 to be exact.

I REALLY don't want to come home from the cruise in the 160s again. I had hoped to get to the 140s, but reality check, Not happening!!!!

Off to fix something to eat then I'll be back to edit this & have brunch with my friends

Well,I came back, ate, typed, hit submit & it disappeared!!!! UGH!!!

Happy Mother's Day, All!!

This week is going to be REALLY CRAZY!!!

Tomorrow I have to leave home at 6:15a to take DS18 to UNM for his math final. PRAYERS needed for him to get a 'C' at least. This is a 'retake' from last semester as he got a C- which is not acceptable for Pharmacy school. Math is NOT his thing!

Exam is 7:30 - 9:30 so I won't run errands while he tests. I'm going to sit in the coffee shop, read & breathe as the rest of the week is NUTS! Also on the Monday list is:

make final cruise payment, pick DD up at 2:25, take her to work at 4, pick up at 9, return movies, do 2 loads of laundry, pick up food at super Suppers, go to Kmart & by Dr. P 2L to get free tickets to the new Indiana Jones Movie, do a little packing.

And Monday is my SLOWEST day!!!

To top it off, it looks like DH has to fly to Teterboro, NJ again for part of the week.

DD works M, T, W, F this week and has finals Th/F so she is stressing about not having enough study time. DS18 has finals M/T/Th and I have to drive him to UNM for them.

Food has been good ....until today.... but my scale has still taken a jump of about 3 lbs. TOM? Who knows it's so unpredictable, but I don't like it!!

Off to potty the pups!

Must edit: All 3 of my kids bought cards for Mother's day...a FIRST! DD also bought me some wooden roses. DH got me a card & a bag of cookies. I've been wanting to go to the zoo (& also get our passes for the BioParks) so DH, DD & I went down for about 2 hours of walking. I wish it wasn't so far away!!! I'm sure DH didn't much like it as it's a bunch of walking, but DD & I did. After he wanted to go eat, but I just can't see waiting in lines for a meal when we could as easily eat at the same places tomorrow w/ no line. So, we picked up Subway (which was my 1st choice anyway! ) He wanted a real meal, but...... I did splurge & had a dipped cone - the cone + strawberries at DQ tonight. DD has been talking about it so long & I've been wanting it. So, I've had 1/2 a turkey sub, a fiber cake, 6 cookies (mint milanos!!), and a M dipped cone, and a sm bag of chips. Not great, but not Horrid!

Still no news on my bug. By the time I get it back Premium will be over $4/gal here. It's about $3.75 - $3.85 here now. OUCH!!!!! Maybe I should trade it in on a good bike!! NOT!!! too many hills. I'd get a scooter if I could get one with a sidecar for the pups.

Just a quick update. DNiece1 is MRSA free! She is 50% effaced, at 2 & they are putting her in at 6 p.m. tonight to induce. Hopefully Taylor Erin will be here by morning.

DH is for sure headed to Teterboro. Leaves in the morning. Gets Back Friday night. I leave Saturday morning at 7 a.m. Gonna be one of those weeks!!!

Another really quick update....I'm living on 3 hrs/sleep/night with running everyone + dogs!! But I'm surviving! Saturday is almost here!!

Taylor Erin was born Tuesday at 3:50 FL time. 7 lb 14 oz Looks just like here sister who is 19 mo, but darker hair. They're praying it won't turn red. Big sister Ashley went in the room & screamed mommy mommy no no constantly. Screamed for hours after & all night long. She doesn't want to share!! Baby will go to a urologist about the kidney as it still showed up on xray after birth, but she seems healthy.

Rainy & cold here in NM. Is it snowing where you are, Amy? Mountains here have snow!

I have had a 2 day headache up the back. Muscles. Started antibiotic for sinuses & ears....dd, too. Nodes on neck are a bit bigger again, too. I HATE ALLERGY SEASON!!!!!!!

Off to take DS18 for his last final & run a gazillion errands.

Tomorrow a new, extra fridge comes. I'm tired on no cold drinks & since the water/ice on my real fridge doesn't work & they want $350 to fix, I'm just getting a whole other fridge w/ no bells & whistles & putting it on my sunporch off the kitchen. That does, however, require me to completely rearrange/clean the sunporch. At present, DH electronic drumset is in my kitchen...barely room to walk...and all the stuff from my large porch cabinet is all over as well. I have until at least 8 am to finish!!

Hey Julie, I am so glad Taylor arrived safe and sound. Keep us updated on the kidney issue. Too funny that big sister is not wanting to share, brings back memories of when dd was born and ds had a month long meltdown!

Good job getting a new frig, I couldn't get along without my extra one.
