Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

DS21, same issues as always, hopefully once Hockey season starts up he'll make enough to stop overdrawing his account so much. I'm to the point I rarely answer our house phone as it's always a creditor for him & if I give him the phone he hangs up on them & then takes it out on me.

DS18 seems to be adjusting ok to college/work/life schedule. Rarely sleeps, but then again seems that I rarely do either. His GF & her 2 sisters joined the air National Guard on 9/6 which has him totally concerned & bummed. 2 of them were to leave for basic in Oct, but now it's January for all 3. Then GF & 1 sister have 14 weeks of job training in Pensacola & the other sister will be in Misssissippi for 9 months. Unfortunately, the sister going to Mississippi won't make the cruise & now the other 2 may be iffy. NOT fun thought for DS18.

Friday TOM decided to make another appearance after 2 months. Last time it was 'hi, bye', but this time is trying to make up for it. Had to go grocery shopping on Friday & could barely walk.

And then there is the tendinitis I'm developing in my left achilles tendon. Hurts to touch, so I know what's trying to happen. And, the morton's neuroma in my left foot is worse ( nothing serious, just makes some of my toes go numb when I'm on my feet much)

Seriously, I have NO IDEA how I'm going to accomplish the TOT at this point. Can I do it, yes, comfortably, I'm really not sure. And I can't imaging DD making it as run down as she is right now.

God, we need some help here!!!!!!

On top of it all, I truly think I'm carrying around about 10 extra pounds just from last month. OUCH!!!!

So, computer permitting, I've got to TRY to get back on here & back on track starting NOW!!!!!! &, thankfully, I know you all will help!

Not all has been bad in my life. DNiece1 in FL is expecting 5/21/08. Her baby will be one on 10/8. Good she beat her younger sister as she will be almost 36 when this one is born. DNiece2 hopes to be preggo w/ her 2nd soon. Her baby will be 2 on 10/5 - sisters in same town. They're the ones DD & I will be going to their party in a few weeks.

DS21 picked up some online game cards from the local casino who sponsors the event center he works at. He won $45 in free slot play (lost it all), DH won $45 in free play & got $70+, I won $111 in free play & brought home $265!!!!!! Right to my cruise fund!!!

Off to nap as I've had little sleep again. One of my HH symptoms. about 3 days before TOM appeared, I could tell based on sleep. Laid down & felt shaky & no sleep as if I'd had about 15 pots of coffee. sure sign. So, my avg of about 4 hrs/night in the last week is catching up. Hopefully after nap I can get things done quickly as I told DD we HAVE to go to the gym & swim tonight.

Basically I've not exercised in so long I'm starting over at point A again. Oh well.....
 
Julie, you can do this! You are back on track and its never too late to start over. Thank God or we'd all be in trouble. That is good news about your niece, hope the other one is in the family way soon as well! And I am really keeping your family in my prayers. Hang in there, see how the next few weeks go, you may surprise yourself.

And I can sure sympathize with the TOM nightmare! Remember normal cycles and making it through the night without sweating? All that is wasted on the young! Hang in there and don't be hard on yourself!:hug:
 
thanks, amy! and we used to complain about sleepless nights w/ babies - I'd take that any day now!!

DD & I had hoped to go swim tonight, but DH had to pick DS18 up at work (rain, motorcycle, etc) and he was about 45 min late getting off, so dinner didn't happen until the time I was going to get to the gym so got too late.

Instead it was nice enough that we took the pups for a 40 min walk. They would have run, not me!! Would have gone longer but got too dark & coyote hunting time so we came in.

Stayed OP today & I actually have points left. More tomorrow!!

Hi Julie, Just an idea, but why don't you start another journaling challenge? The Spring into Summer one was really helpful for me. This could be a Fall into Winter Challenge.I've been terrible about journaling lately. Glad to hear that you're back on track! Hang in there and keep up the good work!

I think its down to the weather as i've been feeling rough too & not wanted to go to the gym!

Well, I've managed to stay OP M - Thurs this week. Yesterday I had a relapse after DS21 had a total meltdown & stressed me beyond my ability. But, I have FPs & that's what they're for, right?

I've managed at least 70 oz water/decaf sf liquid/day, but need more.

Exercise hasn't been so good. Finally made the gym once, & walked twice, so it is definitely getting better.

Today is DH company annual party at the zoo. They rent it from 5:30 - 8:30. Food won't be great - burgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, beans, snow cones, ice cream sandwiches, popcorn, & soda. My plan is to take my water bottle full, eat a burger w/ no bun(or at most 1/2- depends on silverware situation) & lots of tomato, lettuce, dill pickle. Snow cone I'll have (& probably bring a couple home) as they're big & only 2 pts. I know they never have any diet/caffeine free soda & I have no temptation from normal soda, so I'm safe there.

It appears that DNiece#2 in FL is pregnant!! She tested really early on Tues & Thurs & nothing. Tested this morning & it was positive, so she'll test again on Monday when she's officially 'late'. That means the Sisters will each have 2 - first, both dds were born 1 year 3 days apart. , these 2 will be MUCH closer. DN1 is due 5/21, DN2 is due 6/1. My DSis is gonna be BUSY in May & June!!!

Hopefully now I can get her to put a deposit on the same cruise I'm going on in July!! Babies will already be here!

Off to get things done & run errands. Gotta go buy fruit & veggies for the BL3 challenge. won't be hard for me to find new ones....I'm just not a big fan of many so haven't tried!

I've told DD we're walking 4 miles in the Bosque in the morning. time will tell.. but at least it's a flat area more like FL!!
 
You're doing great, Julie!! So glad to hear you sounding so "up" and what wonderful news to celebrate!! Babies bring joy before they've even arrived!

Are you still thinking you'll make it to ToT weekend? The logo is still in your siggie, so I sure hope so! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Oh, and I've started a journaling challenge on the DIS team on sparkpeople. Let me know if you want a link. I am now on a streak of journaling every single bite for 5 days. Hopefully, I will see a huge change on the scale soon!

Just dropping in to let you know I am thinking of you today! I hope all is well and that you are getting some relaxation time this weekend. Just think! In less than 5 weeks we'll be in WDW!!!

So, how is the walking going? How about food? Do you find yourself more hungry when you exercise? I seem to feel voracious, and my body thinks it is entitled to consume every calorie I burn. :lmao:

Yes, Cam I do believe TOT will happen. If I can stay on track it should be fine. Yesterday DD & I did 4 miles. At about 3 her knee started swelling, but not horribly so, & she's still walking today. Did it in 59:20, but when I looked at my phone to see how long I was 'stopped' for (she went ahead & I stopped at 2 miles to call & tell her to turn around, then she called me twice to chew me out for not telling her in advance) the first time which was a full stop was on the phone for 28 sec and the other 2 were about 25 sec each, so probably more like 58. We also slowed a little the last mile for her knee.

Tentatively, I'm staying at my sister's in Lakeland on Fri night, then at the Holiday Inn on IDrive (free) on Sat & Sun. I may change that, tho. Since we're going to be in FL 10/5 - 9 and again 10/26 - 29, she's thinking she might want to go to WDW, so If I buy non-expiring 2-3 days, I'll move us onsite. this week we'll decide.

And Cam, I swear we share a mind sometimes!! You started the journaling on Spark, & me here. Great minds think alike!!

Julie -- sounds like your DD has the same thing mine is suffering, away at college. She has been on penecillin since last Monday, but I am thinking she has sinusitis that is causing problems in her throat, too, and it isn't responding to that particular antibiotic. Your walk sounds good (and fast!). I am so glad to know we think alike. I admire you very much, so the thought of being on the same track is somewhat reassuring! :) :hug:

BAD choices, but tasted good!! Were stress related. Took DD back to Dr. Gave her steroids, new allergy meds, nose spray. She cried all the way back to school w/ her typical 'why can't they just fix me!" - as she does on a weekly basis about her knee. Result..... I ate, but a bit controlled.

Quick update. DD called from school begging to come home. Besides the rest, she now has a 'bad' pain just above her pelvic bone all the way through to her back. Called Dr, got appt for 11:30 tomorrow, then nurse called back & told me just to bring her in at 8.

when it rains, it pouts. I have a garage sale at my house starting at 8 a.m. DH is LIVID that I have horrible timing & he doesn't want to have to stay home. Well, there's ONE of me!!! A friend will be over from 7 - 8:30, but then has to leave to drop her son off & won't be back til 9:30.

Not sure if this is related to the other, but she's basically just like she was 3 yrs ago when her appendix went bad & they couldn't find it for 2 mo because it was having spasms instead of going all at once. She's MISERABLE.

And my house is a virtual landmine - donuts, twinkies, danishes, oatmeal cream pies, Muffins & more ...... All belonging to my kids for lunches/work, but all calling me!!!!

MUST STAY STRONG!!!!!!!!! AAAAHAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Will update & get to my food at some point, hopefully tomorrow. so far, so good, not great, but not bad!
