I'm BACK!!!!!!
What an exhausting weekend! Friday - Sunday I was on my feet over 23 hours working as a runner at the fencing tourney. DD fenced Fri & Sunday - didn't make the top 80% either day, but we weren't expecting it as she's moved up a division. She was disappointed, of course, but.....
Food was good, just not enough water. Friday I had a latte, some fruit and 1/2 a bagel until on the way home when I picked up Chick Fil A & had a plain grilled sandwich. Saturday I had coffee, 2 very small croissants, then picked up taco bell on the way home & had nachos. Sunday I had just coffee until on the way home had McD chicken sandwich grilled, plain, then 2 small pieces of pizza for dinner. Somewhere in there I had a fun size m&m bag, but don't remember which day.
The big news here is that DS20 has a job.....or at least is supposed to.....working at the new arena that just opened. They called today, we scrambled to find all his important papers like Drivers license, etc, opened a bank account (w/ my money of course) as they won't hire you unless you can do direct deposit. Had to be there before 5. Arrived at 4:30 and he was told the person he had been told to get the hiring paperwork from was off today. And he is supposed to show up to work at 10 tonight. So DH will take him anyway. Don't want his new boss to think he blew off his first day. He's going to be on the overnight crew setting up /changing events. Tonight they begin unloading and setting Disney on Ice. It's only part time, when they have events, but it is at least something and I think it's always easier to get a job when you have a job. Plus, he could work a real full-time job and still do this occasionally.
As if I don't have enough to do, I'm now volunteering every morning from 7 - 9 in DD's choir. They've driven off every sub since the teacher died a month ago. Friday they district called 23 Subs and all refused. They found a former choir teacher, but they class is totally out of control, so I'm going in to 'ride herd' on them since I was a HS teacher and can be quite convincing when dealing with the little TWITS!!
I'm trying to catch up on Ebay now. Tomorrow is almost my last to list before Spring. I've got a lot to do to help DS17 catch up with school, but other than that I'm planning to concentrate on cleaning my icky house so we can hopefully put up Christmas after Thanksgiving.
Hope everyone is doing well! I'm going to try to catch up on some journals over the week & weekend!
