Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Back again.....

Tracey, it is HOT!!! Stifling so! But the rain has been holding off most days. It has seemed very cloudy here to me, but odd w/ no rain.

Tracy - glad you got the box!!! I always worry as mail in NM is horrid!!

Things here are fine. DD is a bit bored w/ the babies, but I'm enjoying the down time. Last night all us girls went to see Mama Mia. I actually think I liked the movie better than the broadway....odd!!!

Hope all is well with everyone. I think that tomorrow DSis & her DD's & we are going to Orlando shopping. Then DD & I leave Thurs Morning for Orlando to pick up DH & DS19, then shop for 2 days.

Enjoy your down time and shopping. I am glad you liked the movie, I have been debating about seeing it (didn't see the Broadway version). So when is the cruise? Have fun, relax and give us all the details!

Amy:hug:

Today Orlando shopping...looks like malls will be packed as it is to rain all day. OH well......

Tomorrow DD & I get nails done at 9:30 then go to Orlando, return rental car, meet DH & DS19 at MCO, get different big rental car, go to hotel, then SHOP SHOP SHOP w/ DS19 & DD til sometime Saturday. DH will stay at hotel,I'm sure except to go eat. Then back to DSis in Lakeland to repack.

Sunday morning we leave at 7:45 to return the rental to TPA, get a shuttle to the port. We'll get to check in about 10:30 & get on about 11:30. Cruise leaves at 4 & gets back the morning of the 3rd. Hopefully no hurricanes!!

Have a good rest of the week everyone! Hopefully I'll get back here before I leave!

Hi Julie,

How was the cruise? Hope you had fun and lots of time to relax! Can't wait to hear all about it.:)

This will have to come in installments, and MAYBE by the time I'm done, I'll figure out how to add pictures.......MAYBE!!!!

Brief summary....

Train trip was wonderful, week at my DSis was so relaxing & fun, 2 days of shopping in Orlando was totally exhausting, but kids loved it (DH HATED IT), Cruise was GREAT!!! I'll try to break it down & give you some highlights later tonight....well maybe tomorrow since men's team finals for gymnastics are tonight.

Food, exercise, weight first.....

I tried really hard to be good. Train DD & I ate Chicken caesar salad 2 of 3 days for lunch, skipped dessert at lunches. The 3rd lunch I had a turkey burger as we were going to be walking & not back on train until late & I didn't want to have to buy food. Dinner was not as good for me, but I had flat iron steak 2 nights & salmon w/o sauce the third. No bread, lots of steamed veggies. Drank only water & diet sierra mist. Had small piece of chocolate cake each night at dinner...about a 2x2x3 square. 2 nights it was actually red velvet cake, the other it was something with peanut butter in it...ok, not great, & I didn't finish it.

Each day I did 10 sets of the stairs in our sleeper car (only about 10, but something) and walked the 3 sleeper cars at least 10 times - drove DD & I'm sure the other people nuts! In Chicago DD & I walked from Amtrak to Michigan Ave & both ways on Michigan for awhile. She was NOT happy with me as I told her it was only a few blocks away (well, few is a relative term, isn't it?) My Garmin said we did 4.65 miles. She did sleep well that night.
Had probably the WORST starbucks iced SF cinnamon dolce latte I've ever had. Had to throw it away & was still tasting the syrup late that night.

In DC we again walked. This time from Union Station past the museums to the White House where we watched "T-Ball on the Southlawn". They were so cute!!! Then to Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, back almost to the Capitol Bldg where we caught a cab. DD had worn flip flops & had horrid blisters. I traded her my crocs sandals, then I, too had blisters & ended up barefoot on the hot pavement. At the rate she was walking, we would have missed our train.

Breakfast on train we had yogurt/fruit 2 days - in our room- & the third I had french toast.

In both DC & Chi we filled our water bottles at the station lounge & drank & drank water & Crystal Light while walking.

I was BAD in DC & bought cookies from my fav cookie place in the basement of the station. I had 1 & then ate another when at my DSis.

Once at my DSis we ate sporadically(as they do). Tried to be healthy, but hard on 1 meal a day. I bought yogurt & had that w/ my fiber one for breakfast each day. Had Subway a couple of times, Pizza once, & KFC once. Another couple of nights I made large salads w/ chicken for everyone. They eat way too much bread/meat/potatoes for my taste & eat 1 meal a day. DD & I also ate a lot of LC Flatbreads & paninis that I had bought last trip & put in DSis freezer.

At DSis I walked every other day....3 - 6 miles. Length depended on how early I got out in the heat.

Once DD & I picked DH & DS19 up in Orlando, the only exercise I got was shopping......Day 1 5 hours, Day 2 12 hours, Day 3 4 hours...more later on the marathon. Even I was DONE with shopping.

Food with DH & DS19 wasn't as good (well, wasn't as healthy). California Pizza Kitchen I had salad & saved half for lunch the next day. Then Bennigans next night I had grilled kilkenney salad but also broccoli bites which were fried.

On the cruise I didn't use the gym, but I did walk 6 days. 2 - 3 miles each day doing laps around deck 10. Plus what we did onshore. Also took the stairs everywhere even though my DH was NOT happy I wasn't riding the elevator with him.

Food I thought I did ok. Breakfast I always had egg beaters w/ veggies, chicken sausage & splurged on a small biscuit - about 1/2 dollar size w/ strawberry jam. Lunch I had deli sandwiches - turkey wraps/no cheese, no mayo or whole grain bread /w turkey/vegs, or salads. The one day I was going to have a 'gardenburger' I discovered they cooked them by throwing them into the fryer, not on the grill. Didn't eat it. Lunches I allowed myself to pick 2 desserts, but only 2 bites of each. Enough to try. I ate ice cream once. Dinners I had shrimp cocktail almost every night, French onion soup once & salad once. Had Salmon, Lobster, Grilled Shrimp, Prime Rib(which DS19 ate about 2/3 of), vegetarian bean enchiladas, flat iron steak, & grilled chicken something. I did eat dessert with dinner. Had warm chocolate melting cake twice, capuccino ice cream pie, 2 slices of birthday cake(DH early 50th & mine that my DSis ordered), kahlua mousse, & don't remember the other. Also had skim milk capuccinos.

The entire cruise I had 3 drinks...2 strawberry daquiris & 1 margarita.

So, I thought I did really good, especially with all the exercise.

DD lost 4 lbs on the cruise, DS19 never weighs so has no clue, but has worn the same size 28 waist pants since he was 12. DBil apparently had a bet with someone at his work that he would not gain & spent most of the cruise in the gym....maintained exactly. DH who ate continually, drank like a fish several days & did NOTHING in the way of exercise...didn't even get off in port in one place, barely in others, gained 2 lbs. DSis hasn't said. Me, well I forced myself to go to WW on 8/10....first time since 5/8 & I was up a whopping 9.6 lbs in those 13 weeks. Up exactly 9 on my scale from the day I left 23 days prior.

So, I'm very sad, frustrated, angry, disappointed, but oh well.....here we go again. I gave myself 1 week to get back together to begin again, starting today. It's just not fair that I can do all that & eat fairly controlled & gain that much. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More later in details, but had to get the food issues done.

Welcome Back, Julie!!!! :cool1: We missed you!:grouphug:

I think you did a great job with food and exercise on your trip. :goodvibes No worries about the 9 pounds................You were on vacation! :cloud9: I bet most of it is water weight and will come right off. :goodvibes

Did you see the men's gymnastic finals last night?!?!?!??! :scared1: :yay: :woohoo:  :cool1: :cheer2: I am so excited that they won the bronze!!! They did an amazing job!!!:cheer2:

I hope you have a great day today! Welcome Back!!!:cheer2:

Julie,

I agree with Tracy, you were on vacation. Look at this way, if that trip had fallen through, you could have gained that same amount of weight at home, eating food not nearly as good and being sad. This way, at least you got to go and the food was yuummy! I think you did very well. I hate to say it, but we women of a certain age (um that would be you and me sweetie) and of a certain hormonal time of life, can gain 9 pounds staring at the wall.

That weight will come off. Slam the water and just dont' beat yourself up!

So glad you had fun.

May I ask what cruiseline you were on? I just booked a RCCL for 2009 and don't know a lot about them.

Welcome Home!!!

Not beating myself up, & yep, I can definitely look at ANYTHING & gain weight!!

We were on Carnival, Amy. My DD is going on RCCL in May with a friend....8 days all expenses paid. Not bad...but DH is totally against it. Friend is an only child of older parents & they want her to have someone to hang with...besides, DD will be pushing 18 & friend will be just 17...I actually think it's for her birthday.

Off to pick up DS19 at work. Praying that Home Depot will let him switch to the 8 - 10 pm stocking crew as the 4a - 8a won't work with his school schedule & he needs a job. Then have to go get a tire patched on the Yaris. My bug is STILL GONE...more later about that saga........they should have totalled it or found a competent repair place.......

I'm suffering from olympic fatigue!! Desperately need a nap!! Yes, Tracy, I watched the men. Joey is a good friend of DS19 & has spent quite a few hours here. Sasha we know as well as Jonathan, so it's been pretty fun to watch.

That is so cool, Julie!!!!!:thumbsup2 They really did a wonderful job!!!:cheer2::woohoo: :yay: The women's team kind of disappointed me last night, but I do agree with Bela's assessment that the Chinese athletes don't look old enough to compete. Here's hoping for some more medal "bling" for all U.S. gymnast!:wizard:

I hope your DS19 is able to switch his schedule at Home Depot. :wizard:

Also sending some :wizard: :wizard: for your BUG. How long has it been in the shop?

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Well, I'm still suffering from Olympics exhaustion & I even fell asleep partway through last night. But the women are tonight. I needed a nap, but couldn't sleep...go figure.

On to the trip.....(don't I wish!)

So, DD & I took the train from here to Chicago. She was convinced that she wanted to do nothing but read on the way. Well, that lasted about 6 hours. Oh well..... We both slept a lot, read some, & wished we had brought our DVD player. Once we hit Raton, NM, she was occupied checking out the boy scouts who were heading home from Philmont Ranch. :rolleyes1 Yes, she's 16!

Chicago we walked & ended up getting Starbucks & shopping a bit. Didn't buy anything, but fun to shop. Train was late leaving, but they just kept extending our delay by 20 - 30 min each time. DD's blood sugar dropped drastically as we skipped lunch since we were to be on the train for an early dinner. I literally RAN thru to the upstairs of the station to get her a personal pizza which she inhaled. She had balked at me choosing the earliest dinner time, but when we got on 2 hours late, she was really happy that we had first seating. Basically got on, had dinner, slept in, had breakfast in bed, showered & then got off in DC. That was good!

DC we very quickly checked our bags in the lounge, filled drinks & took off walking. By the time we arrived she had decided she'd rather see the White House & stuff again than try to go to the zoo as it was really hot. So we walked & walked & walked. Bought her a lemonade ice thing, I got water, plus we each drank our 34 oz water bottles full. With just enough time to buy
cookies & starbucks. This time when we got on the train, it was NOT a happy time. Sat down in our room I noticed the lower A/C didn't work. Then the lights above my seat kept going on & off. Called the attendant & there was an electrical short in it. This did NOT make me happy given DD's recent electrical shock, the fact that we would be sleeping in there & it is all basically metal. Their solution was to remove the lightbulb so it didn't flicker. NOT acceptable. I could not sleep. We went to dinner & they had talked of moving us, but the next sleeper car, the toilet system failed. So, about 11 p.m. I'm pacing the train & go into the lounge to ask the attendant what the next decent sized city was. I was determined that I would get off & drive the rest of the way to FL rather than sleep where there was an electrical short. I was preparing for us to get off in Savannah, rent a car & drive when the Conductor got upset enough that he agreed to move us to another room that 'employees usually use' and 'they weren't happy about it'. Too bad!!! So about midnight we moved. Slept in, had french toast breakfast, showered & arrived in Orlando.

Hertz was really good at the station this time & we were on our way only about 30 min after arriving. Drove the hour to my DSis, unloaded, then went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate her 2nd granddaughter's early 6th birthday. DSis son & his 2 DDs were visiting from GA & 'grandma' had never been with this on on her birthday. Stayed at CEC for like 4 HOURS, but had loads of fun & made this little one very happy! DNephew & wife divorced about a year ago & have another girl almost 13 who has always been mommy's favorite & this one gets the leftovers....on her 5th bday, the older sister got to plan the party & invite her own friends & have a sleep over while the 5 year old birthday girl got to invite 1 friend just to skate. Sad!!!!! That was Thursday.

Friday we all went to FL Aquarium in Tampa. Really nice!!! Then had KFC for dinner & early bed as the GA group was leaving at 3a.m.

Saturday, of course, was garage sales with my Dsis, then to Panera to pick up bagels...we don't have Panera out here. :sad1: Sunday DSis worked & DD & I shopped & played with the little ones. Monday DSis worked again & Mon night the 5 of us 'girls' went to see 'Mama Mia'. Had a GREAT time!! I can't wait to watch it again!! Tuesday DSis again had to work so we putzed around. Wednesday the same except that we watched DNiece1's 2 girls while she went to the dentist, then went with the DNieces & babies to swim lessons at DNiece1 MILs house. The under 2 & under 3 yo's weren't doing so well at the Y so they hired the instructor for just $5 more total /week to come teach just the 2 of them. Should be called 'screaming lessons'. They were fine swimming all over the pool & playing with their swim belts on until they saw the teacher arrive. Then they both shrieked non stop as they knew she would make them take off the belts. Ended up with DNiece1's little 21 month old redhead throwing up like a fountain in the pool....blueberries from breakfast.....ICK!!!!!!!!!

Thursday morning DSis, DD & I went for Pedicures & DD & I left for Orlando. Dropped our bag at the hotel, then went to the airport to meet DH & DS19. Their plane was actually EARLY by 20 min. But, we still had an hour after we returned the car, so we walked & walked & walked....and had a McDs ice cream cone. And thus ends part 2. Next up is the shopping marathon in Orlando.

Thursday....

Up at 5:30, helped DD w/ homework she didn't have time to do last night after work as DS19 was alseep in the office since his mattress did not arrive til today(more later). Got her off to school, DH off to physical therapy(more later), ran to pick up DS19 at work, buy him lightbulbs for the new lamp he bought, then home to get ready for WW. Didn't make meeting as DS19 had lost the receipt/pick up form for the mattress he needed to go get. Did run to WI and was down 3 lbs. I was satisfied with that considering I really didn't start watching my food intake til Monday. Still 6.6 to go is quite daunting.

The bug is still gone. Has been since 4/18. Got it back once & the top didn't work. Took it back, then they broke the latch mechanism to the top. DH got it back after I left for FL again. Drove it to work next day & when he came out of work the lights & A/C didn't work. took it back & they said 'oops, I guess we didn't get off all the battery acid we spilled'. Had to replace my entire wiring harness and the A/C compressor(for the 2nd time). Got it back again after we returned on the 6th. Drove it to pick up DS19 & the engine light came on after 12 miles. Back in. This time they said they 'cleared the computer code' as it was 'common in VW' for them to stick. it was a thermostat code, but no problem...unless it happened again. Got it back on 8th & drove it to run errands. 32 miles and light was on again. Called them & they said not to worry, just stuck again. No real problem. Took it in Monday p.m. Yesterday morning they called & said it was at the VW dealer, I needed a new thermostat and water pump and it was NOT accident related. So, I spent an hour on the phone w/ VW understanding the problem & they said absolutely related if I had lost coolant.....duh, it broke the radiator!!! Said the thermostat needed replaced since coolant was lost & that the light coming on should not have been ignored & that that thermostat failure causes the water pump to fail. So, I called the Ins. Co who had paid the repair place in MAY & thought I had had my car back in early May. NOT!!! I've tried to be patient, but 4 months is ridiculous!!!! So Ins is paying, & supposedly car will be back, again, today. Truthfully, I'm almost afraid to drive it.

Over the weekend I made myself a great & wonderful list of everything I would do right this week.. I have decided that ONE thing for 2 weeks before addind another is enough. So, I will stay OP for 2 weeks. Starting on the
28th I will add the next step in my journey. I plan to NOT use my FPs or APs (when I earn them) except on WI day, unless there is an 'occasion'. I will let WI day be my splurge day. My goal is to be back at Pre-Cruise weight by 9/4 WI, which won't be easy for me.

In the meantime, since I got back, I went to 108 neighborhood GSales last Saturday & finally found DS19 a new full-size loft bed, so his old bedroom furniture is all over my upstairs until I can assemble, clean & sell it. He hangs everything except underwear & socks (even T shirts) so didn't need all his stuff, but did need room for his drums, etc. Looking much more like a college kids room. He even painted. 3 walls light grey, the other is dark grey chalkboard paint. Looks good.

I'm on a cooking strike! DS22 has the problem that when he eats he takes it to his room & the dishes never come back. I refuse to go in there. So, of at least 24 Large & salad plates, I now have 5 total left, I'm nearly out of forks & small plates. DH keeps finding excuses for not going in & gets mad when I suggest buying more dishes. I refuse to run the dishwasher unless it is full and am not about to wash dishes by hand. So, I will only cook when there are enough clean plates for us all to eat on. At least DS22 is still employed, but his account is overdrawn, again, & he owes me over $1200 still + the long term debt he still owes from legal fees, etc which is still over 10k. He's just too old to keep doing this.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to visit journals later.....

So, DD & I picked DH up at MCO. Went to National to get our rental & the executive aisle was EMPTY!!! Not a single vehicle!!! Back to the desk as we will end up with LOTS of luggage when we add ours to theirs....4 people, 8 bags, 4 carryons.....ouch! Finally end up with an HHR. We made it to the cruise, but barely with everything.

DH walked normally off the plane & DS19 said he had all week...until he saw us. Left the airport about 4:30 and my plan was to stop, walk Millenia Mall, eat at California Pizza Kitchen, then go to hotel. Had to go right past mall on Beeline to get to hotel. Tried to explain to DH who said he just wanted to go to hotel. As we pass FL Mall (just past Millenia) he proclaims that we should have just stopped & done it then rather than come back...oh well.

Go to hotel, check in, they gave us the wrong room, back down to get different keys for different floor. THEN we headed to Millenia as planned. Walked the mall w/ DH stopping frequently to sit on benches, yet getting irritated at us for not waiting for him & for suggesting that he might like to stay at hotel part of the next couple days rather than power shop. Ate at CPK which was wonderful, then finished the mall & headed to hotel, I thought to sleep. Nope, kids & I went back to FL mall for about an hour+.

Friday morning we were at the outlets on I-4 when they opened. First stop Adidas where I got 2 pr of new walking shoes for much less than I would have pd for 1 at home. That was my goal for the trip... mine just have too many miles on them and w/ my rebuilt ankle, Adidas is about all I can wear. Most are cut so that they are either too high & rub on the screw heads, or too low to feel right.

Then off to Giorgio Armani...for fun...as it's DS19s fav. We actually found DD a really cool pair of tennis shoes w/in normal peoples price range and DS19 got a coveted almost dress shirt on sale for what he'd pay for a normal shirt at Macy's or Dillard's here, so he was thrilled! Next stop Armani Exchange where we spent nearly 2 hours! DS19 ended up w/ jeans, khaki jeans, shorts, wallet, belt, some wallet chains(for fun when drumming:confused3 ). DD ended up w/ a dress, blouse, school polo & a couple of gifts for some friends.

Quickly(now that's a relative term) finished up that mall around 1:30, ran to Chick Fil A & used 4 coupons for tons of food nearly free (remember CFA coupons NEVER EXPIRE regardless of what they say). Back to hotel to eat & cool off & I ate my leftover salad.

3 p.m. & we headed to the outlets on I-Drive. DD realized she needed some real tennis shoes for the ATV excursion, so we spent hours in every shoe store at least twice. In the interim, she also found some flats she wanted. Left & went to Bennigans to eat, then Florida Mall again. DS19 got some shoes & DD some misc little accessories & I found a wallet to match my crazy Kiplinger purse. It was during this shopping excursion that DS19 decided he NEEDED a pair of Ed Hardy shoes & he wanted the brown ones with tigers....but didn't look....yet.....

Saturday morning, up, breakfast & out of hotel at 9 in search of THE shoes. Went to the I-Drive outlets, Mall where Ron Jons is, Millenia, Florida Mall & the outlets on I-4(this one he & I did in the pouring rain!!), then he decides he doesn't care which shoes, just any Ed Hardy, so back to FL mall, again!!! Found a pair at Macy's...even on sale......FINALLY!!

Headed to DSis to get ready for the cruise about 4 p.m. DSis had a wedding to go to, so we ordered Applebees to go for when she got back. DD & I had manicure appts at 6:30 so picked up food on the way home. Repacked, got to bed about 11 and up at 5:30 as we needed to leave her house at 7:30 so they would have time to clean up/pick up (like it needed it, but she is a Martha) before they had to leave at 9 for the port.

Next...the cruise....

Oh man Julie, I want to go shopping now! I am really enjoying your trip report. I cannot believe the problems you are having with that bug, what a nightmare!

I think your cooking strike is very smart! Keep that up!

You can make your goal of being pre-cruise weight. I know you can do it!

Wow Julie!!!!! I want to go shopping with you!:goodvibes You always find the best deals!:thumbsup2

I hear you about Olympic fatigue....:faint: I was exhausted last night, but I just had to stay up and watch the Women's All Around Finals....It was well worth it!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. It sounds like you had a good time!:goodvibes

Have a great weekend!:cool1:

P.S. Thanks again for the WW stuff and the treats for the girls. We really appreciate your kindness!:grouphug:

Up at 5:30 on 7/27 to shower & get everyone out of DSis house. Headed to TPA to return rental to national & get a taxi to the pier. When we arrived @ National I asked if we needed to go to the terminal to get a taxi & they said they had a shuttle to the pier for free....800# didn't know that. We just had to wait about 30 min until they were ready to send it down to pick up the people getting off.

Since we arrived TPA quicker than we thought, we got to the port early. Had to stand around awhile waiting for the porters to check bags, then in line to board. They opened at 10:30 a.m.(although the published time is noon), we were checked in and seated waiting by 11. Boarded at about 11:45, ate, then settled in rooms. We figured our luggage would be some of the last to be delivered since it was first checked, but we got it almost immediately.

After the muster drill, we walked around with DSis & DBil. Walked thru the casino & DBil stuck a $1 into a 25c slot & told DSis to push the button. She did once, then again & on the 2nd quarter she won $338!!! It was hilarious the way she was as she had no clue what was happening, kept screaming at DH to tell her how much. It was great! Didn't do much except wander today. I won a 'body analysis' at the spa raffle, which I had done on Thursday. More later. It was interesting, even though it was, of course, a sales pitch.

DS19 spent most of his time in the casino. Ended up making about $50 total, but at one point was up over $400. Should have quit then. DH lost, & lost, & lost, then lost some more......:sad2:

Monday morning DS19 & I got up early to watch sunrise & I put in my 3 miles before it came up. Just relaxed all day & did not much of anything. Most of the cruise I didn't get much sleep due to DD's keeping late hours. I just wasn't comfortable going to sleep when she wasn't in the room. DH had no problem!! go figure..... I was lucky to get 4 - 5 hours a night.

Tuesday we got to Grand Cayman really early. Got off & walked, went to a little shop & got drinks & sat outside by a park til stores opened. Shopped a bit. bought perfume/cologne. They guys all bought cigars, including DH & DS19 who had 2 boxes shipped home.

Wednesday was Cozumel & my birthday!! DH got off the ship long enough to go buy a couple more cigars then back on. The rest of us did a 'jungle ATV' excursion. It was pretty fun, but dirty!! DSis who has never traveled, never done anything was hilarious! Then we shopped. DBil went to a bar, DS19 shopped on his own then went back to ship. DD, DSis & I walked & walked & walked. Went to McD's (for bathroom) & had a bit of DD's McFlurry.....they have much better flavors!!! DSis had ordered me a birthday cake which we had at dinner. Talk about chocolate overload!!!!!

Thursday was Belize. Planned no excursions. DH actually got off the ship & walked with us a bit. We left the fenced/guarded port area & walked around the 'outside' for awhile. DSis was terrified. Not dangerous people, just very poor.

Friday Roatan. I could move there!!! We had booked thru Victor Bodden & had a van/driver to ourselves for the day. Toured, then went snorkeling, then shopped. DH didn't leave the ship. DBil skipped the walking/shopping. DS19 wanted to shop, but alone he was followed by a guy badgering him to buy drugs. He ended up going back to the ship fairly quickly. DD & I found a mission/orphanage & ended up buying some stuff from their little shops. Gorgeous island & the snorkeling was incredible.

Saturday was at sea & we did basically nothing. DD we saw only at dinner the entire cruise as there was too much going on. She is still texting a girl & guy from Indiana & they're all making plans for next summer.

weather was perfect. It was really hard leaving Florida & coming back to reality. I'm ready to go again....now!!!!

Monday again. I made myself a long list of things to do last week to get back on track. About Tuesday I decided one thing at a time. Still trying to get food under control & journaling. Need to start up on the abs again this week.

Today we have a 2 hour school delay. Said busses were damaged in the storms. storms????? what storms???? well, I guess it did rain...... that was the News story on TV. The school district site says vandalism...... that I could believe.

Food was good until last night when I ate not one, but a BOX of 100 cal york peppermint bars....oh well....that's why I need to still work on getting food under control.

No news for DS19 about Home Depot yet. Tomorrow we go to buy his books, get a bus sticker for his ID (he can ride free....why spend $$ on gas!).

It sounds like you had a great time on your cruise, Julie!:goodvibes

Sending some :wizard: :wizard: for the week ahead. I hope you have a great week!
