Josie Duggar

TLC just a commercial about it airing...thought I would let you know...

Did you all see the clip last night of the upcoming episode? It actually was quite moving. They showed Jimbob on the phone and then breaking down while he talked about Michelle's blood pressure issues and the new baby. Honestly, I think this has hit them very hard since they've never had to deal with such a complication. I thought they looked pretty humbled from the footage I saw. I hardly think they'll show the actual birth, remember how modestly Michelle was covered during her ultrasounds? I don't think we're going to see her layed out on the OR table with her uterus being cut.

The media attention is like a drug to them, without more babies they will be ignored and they don't like that. She has had a close call do you think she will take note of this or keep having babies until it either kills the next baby or herself?

Frankly, I admire them for showing the bad with the good. How hypocritical to only show the perfect. Life isn't like that.

I agree with this. This family is an inspiration for many viewers, and showing the good with the bad can be further inspiration. I'm sure they're enjoying the benefits TLC gives them, but I just don't get the "greedy vibe" like I did with Jon & Kate.

I'll be watching the episode.:thumbsup2

Even without the media attention, I have a feeling Michelle won't stop having babies until she becomes barren from age.

My friend has had babies at 24 weeks and 26 weeks. They both died.
I had forgotten that there was another Duggar on the way. I hope that this little one pulls through and will be okay in the long run.
As odd as you think the Duggars are the baby deserves all the good thoughts and prayers to come her way.

So....if this were Kate.....and this was filmed---people would be all over how horrible she is for exposing such private situations to the public eye.

This is ok because it is Michelle Duggar, but Kate letting her 8 kids ride their bikes in the driveway in front of their house is to be filmed is selfish, bad parenting because it doesn't allow the kids to live private lives?

Me too! I really like the Duggars, but Jim Bob gives me the creeps for some reason that I cannot explain. :confused3

YYYYEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

I don't watch their show all that much, but I like the family. BUT Jim Bob is super creepy for some reason. IDK what it is. :confused3

I don't watch this show anymore but I will probably tune in for this episode. I feel like we never really see who they are as people on their show. I think this episode will be different. I can't even imagine having a film crew near me when I have given birth. I hope little Josie is doing well.

Considering I enjoyed "A Baby Story" "Bringing Home Baby" and "Birth Day" on TLC I will be watching this one as well. Not all births are happy or easy on the family. I've seen good and bad on both though "A Baby Story" usually had more fluffy stuff than the other two.

What does one have to do with another? Who mentioned Kate?:confused3

My sister had a baby at 24 weeks. She is doing great. I hope the same for miss Josie.

She will probably come home around her due date or when she is over 5 lbs and eating/gaining weight and doesn't have any breathing issues/episodes while she's eating.

I've had 2 kids preemies (one at 30 weeks) and that was kind of the rule of thumb...thriving, 5 lbs, and good breathing.

Now that's not to say that if she won't have long term issues she may stay longer.

More than likely it will be close to whenever her due date was.

Not every baby is over 5 lbs, but the rest is correct.

I hope the Duggar baby is progressing and developing like she should.

My niece was born very premature and she had to stay in the hospital for a long time till she was at least 5lbs and doing good on her own..she also had a number of monitors as well ..she is doing great now ..I hope the same thing will happen with Josie..:goodvibes

Our young lady was in the hospital until her due date. She came home on oxygen and a monitor for the winter, as we waited out our concerns about respiratory problems. I am glad your is doing great, too.

So to everyone saying that this shouldn't be shown, do you all watch shows about katrina, or Haiti, the medical shows on tv, the shows about other tragedies? Do you consider those appropriate, and entertainment?

While I'm not a huge fan of the show, I think this could actually be a good thing. Not many people are aware of how difficult it can be to handle raising a premie. If this raises awareness for premies, then it's a good thing.

Awesome :thumbsup2 glad she is doing so well...

i agree with you on watching other show that are similar in nature...some times life is what it is life...

I just saw the ad during the 3:30 rerun show on TLC. I will be watching it! I am glad they are sharing the effects of a premature birth.

Generally, no. But those are one time shows, not a long-term series based on 'reality' of a specific family. I am not a fan of kids on reality shows. I like that the Duggars are (or were) not dependent on the show for income and they have previously seemed to be unchanged by being on TV. I think what bothers me is that while going into premature labor they made sure that TLC was there so they could capture it on film. It really strikes me as not right, priority wise. I mean, if in fact they filmed Michelle giving birth to a 25 week preemie. I think it's a little bit sick. There was no way of knowing the outcome at that time, and we can all hope she is doing well now, but what about next time?

It may not have been Jim Bob or Michelle that contacted them..or they may have been filming when she into labor ..if that is the case than if they asked the Duggers if they could film it at that time ...but you see those are things we don;t know..I am not going to assume something that may not be true unless I am there to see it...
