Oh and many white products have a little blue food coloring in it too. Marshmallows and white icing come to mind.

Usually it is the cheaper brands, but if I remember correctly, both Duncan Hines and Pillsbury frostings(it was either white or cream cheese flavor) and jet puff marshmallows have blue food coloring.

Any consideration of deception on the TV show aside, wouldn't that be a fantastic way to raise kids? To have someone else doing laundry, cooking and cleaning so Mom can focus full time on the kids? That would be SO nice!

Heck, yeah. Especially if someone else was paying for it.

My DD had her hair braided at the GF salon during our last trip to Disney this past June. She loved it and said it didn't hurt - just felt a little tight while it was being done. My DD is 12 though; I think with the Gosselin girls being as young as they are, they were being a little "over-dramatic."

I highly recommend that hairdo for your vacation though. It was easy-peasy and a joy to not have to worry about DD's hair at all! And those freakin' braids lasted over three weeks!

Glad to her the braids last that long! We are going to do it so I can see her eyes for once!

I was glad to see Kate insist that Mady and Cara say thank-you to the girls that braided their hair. I've noticed some polite words from some of the little kids without any prompting too. It's just nice to see.

Don't know if it is true or not but I read somewhere (here?) that the neighbor that helped with laundry moved away and that that the other person wasn't helping anymore because they lived too far away.

I read on GWoP that the lady that folded the laundry has since moved out of the area. The person said they lived in the neighborhood.

I am not sure how much I am upset by the deception if Kate has help behind the scenes. I think a lot of shows do this-don't shows like Trading Spaces has "extra" help that we don't see?

Of course if I had to stand at the school bus stop and listen to Kate say, "Here is your organic lunch" 8x's. I would want to scream. (I would be saying "here is your additive filled factory produced Lunchable " or heaven forbid "your cold pizza left over from last nights delivery"-my ds's favorite!)

I was watching the Memorial Day episode the other day and Kate must have said Organic Fluff 20 times. Do people that eat organically really say 'organic' before everything? Can't you just say that you're having a peanut butter and fluff sandwich?

When I first started reading about the personal chef, I thought about that Sara Snow episode right away too. I honestly don't care if they have a chef or not. Maybe Kate is still cooking and they just don't think it makes for good television.

I don't see it happening on this thread so much (the jury's still out for some of us on CottonCandyLvr ) but there are accounts similar to PrincessPiglet's all over the internet. People that have had encounters/relationships/knowledge of the Gosselins from living in the area, seeing them speak, etc. That's what I consider an insider, anyway.

And a great deal of those people came out with their stories before the Tv show. So they were not "jealous" as the Gosselin-Bots like to accuse the people that see the forest for the trees of being, they were simply local folk posting on a newspaper comments section trying to tell people there was something "off" about these parents.

I also am diagnosed OCD, and if Kate truly is, you can't just "step back and realize what is crazy...". It's part of the disorder.

Kate is not OCD. She does not engage in repetitive behaviors.
Nor is she a germaphobe cause we all saw her clip the boys nails at the kitchen table while they were eating and take Jon's staples out at the table while the kids were eating. She also leaves full potties sitting all over the house and the van, and hasn't taught the kids to wipe after pooping etc.
Kate is snobby, entitled and was filled since birth with strange, conflicting info on religion, food, and hygiene.

I do think it is interesting that if the ugly rumors are true that something more mainstream hasn't picked up on it...People Magazine or Entertainment Tonight. One of the mags that love gossip but generally don't print it until they are pretty sure it is true. As far as I know the articles that many people reference are internet articles of the National Enquirer.

Also, is Jenny part of the six months of free nanny service given to J&K by the Dr. Phil show or do I have my time frames messed up?

OT--Sh lyn--Have fun in Gatlinburg. Get a corn dog at Dollywood (best ever) and get Krispy Kreme donuts and drive up to Cades Cove really early in the morning--great deer and bear watching.

I don't think Kate is anywhere near perfect. And to be honest I think that's why I do enjoy the show. I honestly don't know how they are able to show all their downfalls so openly. I know I couldn't.

Because Kate thinks she is perfect and that all her issues are cute. She doesn't think anything is wrong. She truly thinks she is Lucille Ball and Jon is Dezi.

Has there been any real press about JK8? Outside of the 3 or 4 talk show appearances ... I don't know that I've ever seen them featured in a magazine or entertainment news show. I did read something that was in a Boston newspaper the other day. Jon had been spotted at a local hotel exhibiting diva behavior. LOL. I think they were mostly kidding about that, though.

If I am not mistaken, Jenny appeared after Aunt Jodi was removed from the picture.

I have friends that just got back from the Smokies. We love that area ... I'm torn between there and WDW for Fall Break.

When I used to take my kids to the playground, they played with OTHER kids. I still watched them to make sure things were ok, but what's wrong with playing with others? Not very real if you ask me.

They aren't allowed to play with other kids. Their neighbors all hate them.

We have signs up all over the area for a Duck Festival in a local town. I chuckle every time we see one and think of this thread.

Repetitive behaviors are not necessarily a sign of OCD, nor is the absence of them a sign that one doesn't have OCD. Not saying that Kate has it, but it's ridiculous to say that someone doesn't have a disease because they do not exhibit one stereotypical symptom.

They certainly are cute. Earlier in the last thread many were saying that none of them look like Kate. I think Collin looks exactly like Kate.

I agree about Collin.

Kate shopped videos around to networks right after they were born.
She wanted them in a fishbowl and not to work.

I remember that episode - but, I don't think Jenny is with that company. I'm pretty sure she was hired by TLC as the family helper, not a as nanny. Jon & Kate always refer to her as a helper, in the general sense. That could be a matter of semantics, though.

CCLover, if you are so concerned about exploiting children, why are you posting Alexis and Collin's personal issues on a message board? These issues were not disclosed to the public before (as far as I know). To me, this is exploiting Alexis and Collin for the express purpose of "getting back" at Kate.

If I had to guess, I'd say you are Jodi's sister.

Yes, they were. They were in a few newspaper articles where Kate was begging for another year of tax paid medicaid nursing.
