Not letting the kids eat the the cupcakes at the bakery had nothing to do with the kids being grounded or fear of them ruining their clothing. Both Kate and Jon didn't want them to ruin their dinner. IMHO I probably would have done the exact same thing.

I'm not being mean, but maybe that is why you defend her, cause you see yourself in her. Watching the show makes ME a better mom cause it is a lesson in "what not to do as a mom".

Jon is a middle son with an older and younger brother. One of his bros coaches soccer at the college level I have read. Pretty cool.

Whenever I see a repeat (trip to Utah was on today) I see how loving Beth and Jodi were with those kids, and it makes me so, so sad for all involved that they are no longer speaking (allegedly- I have no insider info whatsoever!).

I wonder about two things:

1) Do the kids ask for Jodi or Beth, especially when they watch the old episodes? They were such a huge part of their lives. Do they ask why they don't see their cousins? My kids adore their cousins and ask about them daily. Especially when they were so close and spent so much time together. I wonder what Jon & Kate say when/if their kids ask?

2) Doesn't Kate miss her nieces and nephews? I would move mountains to see mine. I love them. Does Kate feel like she has enough children in her life and she doesn't have a need to see her brothers' kids? (again- allegedly!!).

Don't know if it is true or not but I read somewhere (here?) that the neighbor that helped with laundry moved away and that that the other person wasn't helping anymore because they lived too far away.

They have always had a truck that came and did the linens.
But the "people that love them" (IE neighbors) fold, iron and put away kinda still do. One moved away though.

I do think it is interesting that if the ugly rumors are true that something more mainstream hasn't picked up on it...People Magazine or Entertainment Tonight. One of the mags that love gossip but generally don't print it until they are pretty sure it is true. As far as I know the articles that many people reference are internet articles of the National Enquirer.

Also, is Jenny part of the six months of free nanny service given to J&K by the Dr. Phil show or do I have my time frames messed up?

OT--Sh lyn--Have fun in Gatlinburg. Get a corn dog at Dollywood (best ever) and get Krispy Kreme donuts and drive up to Cades Cove really early in the morning--great deer and bear watching.

I think the nanny service from Dr Phil was longer ago.

We have signs up all over the area for a Duck Festival in a local town. I chuckle every time we see one and think of this thread.

Repetitive behaviors are not necessarily a sign of OCD, nor is the absence of them a sign that one doesn't have OCD. Not saying that Kate has it, but it's ridiculous to say that someone doesn't have a disease because they do not exhibit one stereotypical symptom.

...repetitive/obsessive thoughs are pretty common but don't always manifest as behaviors or at least as visable behaviors.

So, they had the Oprah episode on at some point today, and Jodi was very, very excited about seeing Oprah. Kate knew this was a dream of hers and invited Jodi on the trip. She may be an evil, mean, selfish woman, but if she were a complete lost cause, that wouldn't have happened. She's provides/ed a lot of joy for people, too.

I am new to this forum but I was disappointed to see here that there were people bashing the Goselins. They are a good family. Kate has faults and is not perfect, but she has a wonderful family and will make sure that they are taken care of once the cameras are off. I just don't understand the jealousy that people have now that this family has money. What Kate does and says makes people come back week after week for ratings. For those that truly dislike her, the only way to show it would be to not watch. There are days that I cringe when I hear some of the things she says, but I feel that I am alot like her and therefore I would never be able to have myself on TV like that Kudos for making the money while you can. As far as Jodi was concerned, I used to love her too, but agree that she was wrong to air out her dirty laundry on her sisters blog, KNOWING that she blogs on GWOP now. It made me loose all respect for her. Everyone seems to be after their money and it makes them look just as bad.

And nobody mentioned the other blogs that give the other side to the story. Gosselinswithoutpity is way too one sided. Everything is only bashing them and the people there get very mean sometimes. Its nice to see those that are either neutral, or are more fan based but you can still comment on things you have issues with.

I will say one thing - internet attention aside - TLC is really pushing the JK8 show these days. It may become a victim of its own success. People that are unaware of all the drama may get sick of seeing them on TV. Of course, they could change the channel, too. LOL. It just seems like the show is on a LOT lately.

I have also read in more than one place (through googling) that Kate has a cook/chef, in addition to the nannies and the laundresses that fold and put away their laundry.

So honestly, I don't think she works quite as hard as she wants everyone to believe.

Kate does NOTHING for the house, or kids.
She has nannies, house cleaners, chef, gardener and laundry service.
Jenny is not only one of the nannies, but also Kates personal assistant.
Kate sleeps till 8:00am. By then Jon has gotten everyone up, dressed and fed.
Jon, bathes them and puts them in bed at night.
Kate Gosselin does absolutely nothing!
She gets paid to act like she plays with her kids on film.
Have you ever noticed that the kids never cry for her or put their arms up for her? They scream when Jon leaves. Cause Jon is the one that actually plays with them.

IMHO I really think they were just referring to the Chef that came in for the one episode. Her name makes me think of Snow White, Sarah Snow I think.

Nope Shalyn, Kate has a private organic chef that delivers all the meals once a day with fresh flowers and wine.
