Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May and Memorial Day is the 4th Monday in May. And the way they were giggling about the craft being a secret, I'm guessing this was filmed on the first Sunday in May. It doesn't really matter, I just think it's silly to call this a Memorial Day episode when it clearly isn't Memorial Day.![]()
I never noticed how much Kate tells Jon what to do until tonight's episodes. The two they showed back to back tonight certainly showed Jon doing most of the work, and if he wasn't doing the work he was talking about the work yet to do. And Kate really wasn't doing all that much ... other than the telling people what to do.
The men in our family usually do the "work." Maybe we're just old-fashioned, or it's our culture. When a family member shows up for a holiday, for example, the men will all run outside and help carry in the items, whether it be a bag of chips or three boxes of Christmas gifts. Of course, as kids we were expected to offer our help, too, but the males did the majority of the physical work.
