I still can't get over how recent these shows are. Did you see the date on the pottery, it was 5-28-08. Dang, so they filmed the show, edited it, and got it on the air in a month. Wow. That's awesome.

I was really impressed by Kate letting the kids get messy! Go Kate! Even Jon couldn't believe it, his cracks about his wife were priceless. :rotfl: I love how she was trying..even though she was doing her own thing while they were getting messy. That's ok though, baby steps!!!!

Am I the only one who wants to take their kids pottery painting now? :cool1:

I think that is the point of the blinds, so they can get the shows out quicker. If they don't need to do too much fixing of light, they are able to edit the shows faster and get them ready to air.

I loved that bowl that the girls did with their handprints. How cute.

It was funny when Colin said, "we can't tell the girls" when they were drinking their smoothies. :lmao: I guess all's fair when you're a 'tup.

I did not see the date on the pottery, but I can't help but think the episode was older. When Jon was bent over at the kitchen table (when they were eating beofre going ot the pottery place) I noticed his bald spot was really showing. I would have to be before the hair transplant surgery unless they all fell out.
I keep wondering about this... I was watching the hair transplant episode with my eyes closed during some parts. Did they do the top of his head or just his receding hairline in the front? I thought they just did the front, but he has a pretty substantial balding area on the top that I thought they would've done also. :confused3

I may be wrong about this, but I thought they told Jon the hair(that they put in) would fall out and then new ones would grow out of the follicle.

Yes, they did tell him that. I was just wondering if they even did the top of his head.

I forgot about that.

I also think they said it was only his first session. Maybe they did the hairline first

I was wondering about the bald spot too.

I think I watch too much of this show since I was dreaming that I was hanging out with Kate!! :lmao:

What? No comments on yesterday's show? I thought it was cute. Though I was surprised that Jon and Kate let the kids watch that movie. I felt bad for Mady who was so upset by the monkey's death. Though it was cute when Aaden was saying "she's eating me."

Tonight's episode was cute. The girls are sooooo cute, especially Leah and Alexis. I thought their pottery projects turned out really cute. I liked Alexis' purple puppy. I thought that was super cute. And I was glad to see that Kate didn't flip out too badly about the mess. The bowl with all of their handprints was really cute. It was cute when they were interviewing all the girls together how the little girls were just crawling all over it. The boys were cute too though. Did anyone notice in the last two episodes they have been wearing Crocs. The music video song was cheesy, but the video with it was cute, especially the shots with the kids.

I was also cracking up because after Aiden said "She's eating me", Jon says "No more monkies jumping on the bed"

I loved that episode!!!

I missed a good portion of both episodes, I hope they show them again soon. All of the pottery was really well done. I would have loved to see Mady's fairy up closer, it looked like she did a really great job on it. I really couldn't believe how well Kate handles the mess. Even I wanted to go do some pottery. We used to when I was young and went to our local Girls Club.

I was wondering why Jon and Kate didn't preview the movie before letting the children watch it, I would have for a movie like that. Seems to me Mady was the only one having a real problem with it.

I was hoping that there would be a Jon and Kate marathon on Friday for July 4th, but see it is What Not to Wear instead. I am disappointed. I mis most of the marathon on Sunday afternoon. At least I can watch it every morning.

So there was a new episode on Sunday also?
Oh well I'm certain we will catch it in reruns

On one recent episode (maybe last week?) Kate did mention something about it being right around the time of their 4th birthday, which is May 10th. She also mentioned them being 4 a couple of times. And an episode coming up soon is their 4th birthday party. So evidently they can get them edited and produced pretty quickly.

Yes, the movie night episode. It was a one hour episode that came on right before The Singing Office.

My Tivo shows Girls day out being shown at 7:00p July 2 on TLC 2:00a on TLC I'm assuming these times are EAstern Daylight as that is zone I'm in

Jon really looked ticked off on Monday's show - both in the footage and in the interview. Kate just kept going on and on about Jon should offer to help more. I don't think she realizes how good she has it with him. He gets ALL 8 kids up and dressed, gets Mady and Cara off to school, and does the entire night-time routine. You could tell he was mad she kept saying he needed to do more. I just cringed and wanted to reach through the screen and shake her. With all their fame and money, they are at a much higher risk of their marriage falling apart.

I often wondered about that. In one of the shows she was saying how young Jon was. I wonder if he ever wants out. Kate will say "Honey, I'm in for the long run" or something. They mention this every once in a while.

But, can you imagine if Jon did leave. His child support would be outrageous. If it did ever happen, it would be "cheaper to keep her" ;)

That is too funny, but unfortunately so true :lmao:

I believe that because of their faith that they would turn to some type of assistance before letting their marriage go far enough to fall apart.

My Dh and I are alot like Jon and Kate, except without children and alot of the time, it is just really useless bickering, we just fuss to hear ourselves fuss.

During their garage episode (where Kate's brother helped Jon put in the racks) a ball rolled down the street and when Jon went after it one of the little kids was crying for daddy. Kate said "He's coming back, he wouldn't run away while we were watching" :rotfl2: Jon said something in response like, he wouldn't run away, he would take the car, but then they would be able to track him down. :lmao:

I thought Jon and Kate looked worn out on yesterday's(Sunday) show.

The shirts they were wearing reference Isaiah 40:31....

31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I think they were in the middle of the Aunt Jodi "mess" and were sending a message back to Aunt Jodi's sister for the verses she had on her blog slamming them

I do like the show and all of them, warts and all, but I have to say that I really didn't like the music video (not that they would care!) ;) Holding the mike and play acting like you're singing doesn't make it a music video to me - I would have rather had the music and maybe cute scenes of them through the years instead.... others loved it though, so I guess that's why I'm not a music video producer

What's Aunt Jodi's sisters blog? Is it anti Kate?

Oh yeah, Aunt Jodi is off the show and unfortunately in the end it all comes down to $$$ (money) :sad2:

Gosh now that I think about it pretty soon those kids won't have any relatives left :guilty:
