Aaden did seem underwhelmed by the trip. I think he would have had a better time at a petting zoo with smaller animals that he could interact with. My grandparents had a milk farm when I was growing up. I have to admit it is boring to watch the cows get milked!

Yep like Kate said~ he needs a "do-over day". and hopefully she can join them.

I was sure that Jon was gonna make a comment about the cows turning around in the conveyor belt. At least something like, "I came all this way, and all I saw were cow butts."

I'm not certain if you are just being snarky or what but I'll answer....It's a lollipop made out of organic ingredients.

DD is allergic to artificial coloring (and we suspect other artificial ingredients)
It's not uncommon at all for us to ask if something is/was 100% all natural or organic.

Well no, I was not being snarky (although I am not entirely immune from it ).
I had never heard of organic junk food before.
I also just think it's a little over the top for Kate to get so upset if one of her kids eats something not from her approved food list. If there were food allergies or whatever it would be different. She even wants to control what her husband eats. "So you ate an apple dumpling too?" She is just so up-tight about everything!
Love the show though!

Someone asked if the cooking school uses organic ingredients.

As a parent with a student there, what I observe is that they do their best whenever they can to use organic, but they don't go out of their way to use them. There definitely is an effort to avoid HFCS, artificial sweeteners and colors. (My older son participates from time to time and the owner of our location and I talked about those items, since we try to avoid them with him.)

Based on where they live, I know they've got several petting zoo type places nearby to have the "Do Over" with Aaden. I'm almost surprised none of the kids did the Strasburg Railroad and the PA Train Museum! My kids and my nephews adore those two places and have since they were around 2 years old.

The Dagoba organic chocolate bars are to die for LOL.

ETA: Annie's makes great snacky organic junk food. Their cheddar bunnies are better than gold fish crackers
graham bunnies are like teddie grahams.
Oh and healthy handfuls makes similar items. They have the best mini oatmeal cookies.

I get most of my organic food through a united co-op. I'm not vegetarian,but I know I've run across it in the catalog. At one point I purchased a lot of vegan products because I often babysat a boy who is allergic to dairy and eggs.
Walmart & Kroger carries some of the Annies products


I did find these the first one is not organic, but it is non GMO and it is vegan. I think it is the brand I have seen in the catalog

Do you have whole foods, trader joes or Wild Oats near you. They usually carry a good selection of organic and vegetarian/vegan items.

LOL found the brand I was thinking of. I realized the one section I didn't look in was this months specials
primal strips
they make jerky and meatless pepperoni sticks
according the united list of manufactures websites, primal doesn't have one but I did a search and found online stores that carry them

I just watched the 07 episode where Kate takes all the kids to chocolate world. I saw that train wreck coming! It seemed no one enjoyed that trip too much. The only time they seemed happy was when the giant milkduds played with them while waiting for their food. I can almost hear the Hershey execs saying, "hurry up and get someone in a chocolate costume over there and get those sextuplets to stop screaming!"

i don't know if they carry meatless jerky but the loma linda line of vegetarian foods is realy very good (and a great set of vegetarian 'home style' cookbooks are the 'apple a day' series).

btw-while we are not vegetarian my kiddos go to a vegetarian summer camp each year (awsome food, i enjoyed it when we did family camp one year)

I can't tell Colin and Joel apart at all. One of them supposedly has longer hair, but I can't tell or remember which one.

OMG I am so addicted to this show!! I even have my hubby watching, and although he pretends like he's not that interested, I can tell he loves it too. In fact, he has now branded me "Kate", which I don't find amusing. I think he's bonded with Jon. I am no where near as controlling as Kate, in my honest opinion, although I do have to admit I see myself in her more than I'd like.

I also got DH hooked on the show and we watched the show all during my pregnacy. we are also a mixed couple (I'm asian and he's white) and have a DS 9 months. DS looks very similar to the kids.

Oh and the kids really don't look the same to me expect Leah & Alexis. But I think it's b/c i'm used to seeing half asian/white kids thru out my relatives.

Colin is much bigger than the other boys and has bushier hair, too. Alexis is usually the most boistrous of the little girls, but her hair is similar to Leah's, so you're right; if they're not together, it's hard to compare height. Loving the one on one trips; I agree poor Aaden really deserves a do-over!

My daughter and I think we have a way to tell the girls apart. On these newer shows, Hannah has the longest hair; Leah has the shorter hair; Alexis' length is between the two.

I think they all look different. I don't have a problem telling them apart. I think that may be because I have several Asian-American family members.
