Kate is really pretty. I have never said otherwise. You can be really pretty even with a spinal (scoliosis?) problem. I add the query because I just don't know -- except her horrid posture just looks like mine. And I am diagnosed.

I also had absolutely no problem with her hair styles until she went with the horrendous fake extensions. I also have never commented on her plastic surgeries (although I admit that I think she has had more than her admitted tummy tuck, but that is not my business.)

I rarely comment on personal appearance. I wish her the best of luck in all her ventures without the children -- on the View and DWTS.

My problem with Kate has always been about her behaviors and the filming of the children. And, yes, I do have huge problems with Kate's behaviors. And TLC's exploitation of minors.

I'm just saying that even with the *Mom* vote, she will probably not be a shoe in on DWTS. I just do not think she has what it takes, dance-wise.

And you may now return to your regularly scheduled programming after flaming my rear end!

walden? did you think I was flaming you? If so, I was NOT. I agreed with you about the hair and just wondered why this was the first I'd seen about her posture. No flames, I have it also and so I noticed her posture right away. Esp. last summer in the bathsuit pics at the beach and in the little sun dresses she wore all summer. But no, I wasn't flaming you... I always wondered with all the reverse mullet comments and all that tha went on here why her posture wasn't mentioned sooner.

Oh, I'm sure we discussed it before. I know I have said she slumps around. I thought maybe it was because she was tall (taller than Jon?) and sometimes women who are taller than their boyfriend or spouse will slump down so they don't look like Godzilla next to their partner....Yeah, I dunno, maybe she will shock me on DWTS, but I'm thinking it will be ugly and short lived for her. She has big feet, thick legs, bad posture, not at all graceful. Only think she has going for her is the size of her ego and apparant lack of shame, so those 2 thinks ought to help her on this show, but I don't think they will be able to make a dancer out of her.

No one flamed you. This is a discussion board. We discussed what you wrote. Some people will agree with what someone posts, some won't. It's not flaming.

Oh, Buckalew! No, you did not flame me, nor did I experience your post as such. You are very sweet. I don't think naming a slump is so awful, especially for those who have scoliosis.

It is just odd to me that another long-term (un-named) poster here seems to be: "loaded for bear" on my posts (not that I bother much about her) but I was reacting to her in my last post. So sorry.

I was reacting to a poster who gabs along the lines of: "I used to be pro-Jon (eh,not in my memory and I've followed from from thread 3)" and "Kate is just adorable and anything even faintly critical of her must be slammed."



I only come here every few days. Oddly enough, Kate is not that important to me, although I do dislike her.

I hope the best for the Gosselin kids. They are the people I care about.

I may have been unnamed, but I'll respond anyway. I believe one of the rules on the disboards is that you are not allowed to get personal. I am not at all loaded for bear, whatever that means on your posts, but I do respond to whatver I feel like on this board. I seldom even look at a name when I respond, so if you think it's something personal about you, you would be wrong.

I certainly was not flaming you. I said I didn't notice her slump, another person said she did. All those are are comments. I guess you are insinuating that only those who agree with you may post on this thread.

I have never said Kate was adorable, and I have certainly not been slamming all those who were critical of her. I'm actually on-line friends with some who dislike her. I do enjoy watching where she is going with her life at this time. I think you might be a little sensitive, thinking that I am flaming you. I have no idea why you just get so bothered when people say nice things about Kate. This is a board about her and her family, and there will be pros and cons. Plenty of people don't say nice things. It's no biggy. Sometimes I'll respond to them and sometimes I won't. Sometimes they'll respond to what I say. So .

As to who I used to be pro for or not..it was what it was, and I really don't care to be called a liar, on something so silly as a board about people none of us really know. I did use to like Jon more than Kate (and I don't now)..but what does that have to do with anything now?

Again, my focus is on the health and well-being of the Gosselin kiddies. They are just lovely.

You know, I have gotten to like Kate more and more, but I must agree. I don't think she's very graceful. Just saw in a photo in People magazine she was in a dance pose with her partner and she looked kind of clunky. We'll see -- it starts in 10 minutes! I am so glad she'd on the show!

I caught a glimpse of a photo of Kate in chin length bob, and she looked great. But then she went back to those fake extensions . . . the extensions really don't look good. Kate looks much better with short hair. IMO

Anyone catch Kate on the View? I didn't. Did she cover herself with glory? I'm a little surprised not to see a blow-by-blow account here.

I seriously don't think that Kate will last long on DWTS. She has rotten posture (scoliosis?) and is just ungraceful. Speaking as one who also suffers from both of those problems -- so please try not to slam me for seeing them in Kate. Some can dance, some can't.

I also have two left feet, but I'm not on DWTS

I too agree that Kate slouches. But I only noticed this on J&K. I didn't notice it in home videos of her prior to children. She stood perfectly straight.

While she had surgery to correct physical problems associated with carrying sextuplets, she has always been weak on the exercise. Her posture will likely improve with the show. I actually noticed that towards the end of the series that it had been improved.

While I cannot relate to the physical toll of a HOM pregnancy--I do have mild scoliosis and core strenght issues that contributed to poor posture over the years. I did PT and pilates for a couple of years and this pregancy, I'm at my most "healthiest" posture wise. I have lost strenght due to not being able to keep up with exercises--but not as bad as in prior pregnancies.

My poor posture though is tied more to the muscular weakness and not to the scoliosis--the scoliosis just makes the problem worse when injury is involved.

I'm not sure if that is the issue with Kate--or if she is just being lazy. But IMHO--I think itcould explain her hunched overed shoulders that she had for the first few years of the sextuplets lives. Her earlier home videos with just her and Jon--her posture is much better.

I agree also. This is by no means a reflection on her as a person. She's always seemed more "purposeful" in her carriage as opposed to light on her feet. (translation = stiff, deliberate, lacking grace, heavy in steps, etc.)

I agree. Nicole has lots of dance experience even though she was careful to point out that it's different than DWTS. There's always someone who has some kind of dance experience on the show but they say that it doesn't matter. How can that be?

Kate did well and I think she might improve too. You could tell she has zero dancing experience and the judges pointed that out. She looked really scared. I couldn't do that, go on DWTS on live TV. But she did better than I thought she would.

I don't recall Kate bringing them up but the girl "host" did. She did look VERY nervous! I also thought that she looked close to tears when the middle judge was giving his opinion. I hope she does well!
