I wonder why he was sleeping in Mady's bed, if he was supposed to be gone. They must not have alarms. I thought it was the kids' house.

This is another one of he said, she said. This type of custody is never going to work.

Does he mean that being on the shows is his new work? I hope not, because the only way they'll want him, is if he's going to talk smack about Kate. Otherwise there is no audience for him. Wonderful thought that he won't be stopping. Geesh.

His new way of making a living is going on any Entertainment show that will pay him? He said that? Seriously?

Is this not the person that said he didn't like being on TV? Is this not the guy who said he wanted to go back to a normal life and get a normal job? :confused3

I currently know two people who personality-wise appear to be very much like Kate. No matter what they do or who they hurt, they are NEVER wrong. The other person forced them to act that way or did something to make them deserve to be treated that way. If you encounter them with specific examples of their outrageous behavior, they will poo-poo and act like you are blowing their actions WAY out of proportion. If you are deeply hurt, you are being too sensitive and that is your own fault. They are honestly incapable of seeing themselves in the alarming and cruel way others see them. In their minds, they are right. End of story.

Someone hoped earlier that Kate's time up at night was spent wallowing in regret about doing the show. No way. She's regretting that Jon turned into someone else. She's regretting that the evil book company put off publishing her last book. I could go on and on, but I doubt she's spending a moment of her time wishing she had been nicer to Jon. If anything, she probably thinks she was too easy on him and that's why he turned. And as far as the tv show? She's stated (or at least implied) over and over that it was the best thing that ever happened to her. She'll most likely never regret it.

I know that people can change, but when someone honestly believes they have done nothing wrong and that everyone around them is an idiot who requires their guidance, what on earth would prompt them to improve their behavior? I don't know Kate and cannot say for certain this describes her, but the two people in my life who remind me of Kate are very much like this.

I think he meant any show that will have him. He did look good & clear eyed the best I have seen him in awhile.

He was there to get back & Kate IMO. He was also asked by the time Sq Audience what cartoon character she should do & he said Cruella de Vil

Apparently Jon and Shane Victorino from the Philadelphia Phillies are friends since Jon has been invited to his wedding ( I think it's this weekend ). They met when Jon took the kids to meet some of the Phillies. They hit it off because Shane is from Hawaii. I wouldn't want to have Jon and his antics at my wedding that's for sure! :confused3

Jon was on the Insider & was mad at Kate. He fell asleep in Mady's bed & she woke him at 11:00 & told him he should be gone.

It sound like Kate gave Jon the bums rush.

He said she threw my stuff by the front door. He said he could have collected his own stuff & this is his house too.

This is not word by word but the general jist.

He took questions from people in time Square & someone asked why don't you stop going on TV & be quite. He said this is his new way of making a living & he will not be stopping.
Good for Kate now he knows how she must have felt when he called the police on her

Why couldn't he sleep over the garage. Why was he sleeping in Mady's bed?

I haven't a clue if this is how Kate feels. She has certainly tried to tell people she is sorry for the way she acted. Of course it doesn't matter how many times she says it, because no one will believe her. I can see why she or anyone would regret if their husband turned into someone different than what she married. Obviously, the way they disrespected each other was awful, and she was very hard on him, and we all know that TLC showed her worse than him. No excuse for that, and she said on the interview (I saw just that part again last night..she clearly said, no excuses, let me put that out there, I was wrong), but if she thinks Jon has changed and their marriage is now broken, why wouldn't she regret that? This is a divorce..there should be a lot of thinking on both sides about how this divorce came about. Neither of them were innocents in this, and of course the children have to pay the highest price.
I've never heard her ever say anything bad about the book pubishing company, let alone call them evil. Kate's not stupid, I'm sure she knows just why her latest book isn't out right now.
Even stuff she doesn't do or say gets her in trouble LOL!

What a dishonorable way to make money. :headache:

I hope Jon comes to his senses and realizes there is a whole world out there away from the Hollywood/celebrity lifestyle and the baggage it carries.

His new way of making a living is going on any Entertainment show that will pay him? He said that? Seriously?

This is typical of Jon, say one thing and do another. If is his idea of a financial future is too continue to keep his personal life in the media, trash Kate and keep the kids in turmoil...then I hope TLC totally ruins him and he becomes blacklisted in Hollywood. Maybe then he would move closer to the kids, get a normal job and give the paps a reason to ignore them.

They should previews of the show, and said,
"watch what was really going on last Spring"
blah, blah, blah,
but then it showed Mady watching her dad down by the fence.
I don't know if Mady was really watching her dad, or if TLC edited that scene for the preview to make it look like she was watching. Who knows. It will be sad, if TLC takes advantage of the kids pain, if they are upset with their dad.

what?! watch what was really going on last Spring? But, but .... it's the realest reality show out there, you mean they didn't show us what was really going on last Spring? And, and, and... Kate didn't share what was really happening when she had her turn to talk last week?

I'm going out on a limb and saying that the video is edited to manipulate ratings and reaction. TLC is no better than the National Enquirer.

What. A. Joke.

Nope. She can say it all she wants but until her behavior actually changes to reflect the words, she isn't sorry! There are still current reports of how she treats people, nearly the same as she treated Jon. When she displays graciousness, empathy and kindness IRL, not for a filmed bit, then I will believe she is sorry.

Didn't she excuse all her meltdowns by saying she was tired or stressed (she does have 8 kids), or it was just a loud mike? But Jon, who had ONE mean comment to her...well that was a sign of things to come? Why wasn't he excused b/c he was tired or stressed?

I think we have established to the best of our ability, that this Jon is the one she married. She tried to make him into what she wanted and it didn't take. And no, she hasn't changed, and I don't expect her to ever change either.

I think I just said that LOL. It doesn't take much of a limb to say they are editing to manipulate ratings and reactions. Just like all of the 'reality' shows. The only reason we don't see more tell all books from past reality people, is IMO the contracts they have to sign.

Again, K & J was about a family that was edited to show, just as TLC wanted it to be shown. I think now that they are going off, The Roloff's are TLC's next victims. People seem to like to watch strife and so that's what TLC will now show. Soon everyone will be saying, poor Amy (which I have already said LOL) and she will begin to believe that Matt is a jerk, who everspends money that Amy keeps saying they don't have (doesn't TLC pay them well enough?) the kids are being shown more and more unmanageable and that will mean more arguments, and viola! the next Kate and Jon show.
When they are done with the Roloffs, they'll take on the next family.

All of these reality shows are in it for the money IMO, and once they are hooked on that money, TLC can manipulate what they show to bring in the most viewers, just like the main TV stations do. It's easy to blame TLC, but again, it's the people signing up for these shows that need to share the biggest hunk of blame. They want money and thus share all their personal family life on TV.

I'm going out on a limb and saying that the video is edited to manipulate ratings and reaction. TLC is no better than the National Enquirer.

If it was his turn with the custody, I can't imagine it's a good idea for Jon to be sleeping that far from the children (above the garage). Maybe he was comforting Mady (bad dream, etc.) and fell asleep? That happens to me sometimes with my DD. I didn't necessarily think it was that unusual. One of those things where he does enough, don't read too much into something that might be ok. LOLOL.

I don't think Amy Roloff goes around proclaiming that their show is the realest reality show out there. Kate Gosselin still does that.

We see what makes the rag mags. It's really IMO, that simple. We seldom see nice things said about people that have made their money being villians. Many people interviewed at the show with Maria Shriver said she was gracious, yet, I only read that in one magazine. It's jut not interesting reading and doesn't sell mags. Can you imagine the headline? Kate was nice to everyone at conference. Now, who would buy that mgazine. And TLC certainly pulled out the worst in Kate, just as they are now, the worst of Jon. Heck, she could be just as they portray her, but if we say she is, then I'd have to say then Jon must be, and I think even with Jon, it's the 'badboy' stuff they like to print. He's actually done some good things too, but those things are always just a short sentence and on with the bad.

No, she didn't excuse all of her meltdowns that way. I'm sure, as I did, you watched the show. She said no excuses. She shouldn't have acted like that. Yes, she did say she was mic'd in Toys R Us..why wouldn't she say that? She was. I'm sure that's why we heard her so well. She did say he was off playing with toys. Was that an excuse? I thought she said that to explain why she was upset, not that she still thought it was OK to yell at him. She said she learned form that and never yelled at him in public like that again. She said she felt badly. She has also said on at least two previous interviews that she feels bad for how she treated Jon. She also said she is working on her reactions. You think this is the only remark that Jon has ever made to her? I have watched the reruns, and he has always had a lot to say. Just a lot quieter. He made many comments. TLC didn't choose to expound on them, however. Even Jon, who was the victim of her meltdowns many times has said since they separated that TLC made Kate look worse, that they didn't show the ending of the meltdown, the solution.

I find it hard to believe that this is the Jon that she married. If it was, she was a fool. I haven't seen that established at all. I think Jon may have been a player before Kate, but I haven't seen anything to suggest he was that way once they were married and settled down and had children.
But, these are just my opinions, and of course yours may (and will LOL) be different.

Oh, was it 11 at night? I didn't realize that. Gosh, I assumed the kids were in school. I wonder if Kate just zoomed in the room with the kids there and tossed him out. That might change how I feel about her tossing him out.

I don't think Amy Roloff goes around proclaiming that their show is the realest reality show out there. Kate Gosselin still does that.
I don't understand. What does that have to do with how TLC is now portraying their family? This is pretty sad, if this is how the Roloff family is all the time, or do you mean this isn't how they are? I've never heard Amy say this isn't how we are, this is scripted.

Meee -OW.

The ladies on The View were just very snarky about Jon & Kate today(apparently they're spending Christmas together .. ). Ouch.

It's all edited--we all know that.

I think what Madge is getting at is that Kate has proclaimed their whole show was real, thus it is essentialy an oxymoron that we are now getting a show next week that shows what "really" happened last spring.

This would lead me to believe that the show was more sanitized to their reality than Kate is admitting.

Amy Roloff has never stated we are seeing the whole picture, so thus if we get some "never before seen footage of what really happened on the pumpkin patch"--it would not be a contradiction.

I believe that was the point.

Kate has said over and over (ad nauseum) that their show is the realest reality show out there ... and now the promos for next week are "see what really happened in the spring"?!

The Roloffs have never made that claim, though. They haven't made it part of their back story that their show is the realest reality. So it can be what it is, and TLC can do whatever they want.

To me, it's always been a conflict for Kate to say it's really reality and then TLC turns it into not the reality. With that said, I have always been aware of the editing, I never bought into the real reality deal. But others did and have. All those people who really believe that the cameras are simply following them around.

I agree, frankly I am glad he is in the house instead of over the garage on his custody days.

I agree about the rag mags and trash TV. Take Jon for example he is not being paid to be on The Insider to talk about the positive side of life. He is there to trash Kate, give private details and whine about Hailey. Sadly, that is what sells.

I used to think that Jon had changed but now I think he was always an immature donkey. TLC just didn't want us to see that.

Jon and Kate + 8 is what they were selling, Kate + 9 is what we watched.
