Good Monday Morning, J&K DISer's!!! Just turned on my computer and wondered if there has been a day, oh say in the last 6 months, that J&K have not been on the front page of breaking news on Google Entertainment????

I bet they never thought in one million years that they would ever be HALLOWEEN costumes all over this United States!!!!

Actually, as I sit here, in reality, it is all very very sad.

mostly it's more of the same, but there's an interesting paragraph tucked in there:

What won’t work in Kate’s favor are recent reports of high-maintenance behavior from producers who recently worked with her, who report Kate’s sudden mid-shoot demands of chocolate chip Clif bars, and sushi. The more Kate lets fame affect her, the greater her chances of become infamous.

Jon can be a public buffoon, but that's still only part of the story. The rest is yet to play out, IMO.

I'm sad Jon didn't go back to PA for Nana Janet's funeral. I hope Kate went. If someone is close enough for your children to call them Nana, you go to their funeral.

re. the funeral-if i were a member of her family i probably would have requested they not attend. noone mourning the passing of a loved one needs the media circus that follows both of them whereever they travel.

The last thing the family needs is Jon or Kate showing up.

nobody except Deanna's drug dealer brother has said that Jon was dating before Kate filed for divorce.

I just did some finger counting, and in one of his speeches about how he and Hailey are taking a break, Jon said they had been together (if I remember..it's been a few hours since I read it LOL) for seven months. That goes back to about March - April, before Kate filed. Not that that matters, and I think Jon may have been out scouting before Hailey..just sayin...

i wonder if kate (and tlc and whomever else is in her corner) did'nt take a page from debbie reynolds and her p.r. machine in handling this whole situation.

when eddie fisher hooked up with elizabeth taylor the whole world was treated to debbie reynolds being portrayed as the poor, betrayed wife-left at home to support the children while eddie and liz lived a wild life. eddie fisher was drug through the mud to the extent it pretty much ruined his career.

decades later it was revealed that fisher and reynolds had been living a sham marriage for a LONG time, and that it was only by virtue of an unplanned additional child AND pressure (including financial) from their studios that wanted to continue cashing in on their 'perfect all american couple/family' schtick that they had carried on the charade as long as they did. both had outside the marriage relationships but when fisher's with liz taylor could'nt escape the media finding out the studios decided to cut their losses and salvage what they could-so they opted to go with debbie reynolds and make her look the absolute innocent party.

now eddie fisher was no winner, and jon's got his issues-but i don't think it would be far fetched at all to believe it is as jon has said from day one, that the marriage was essentialy over but kate and tlc wanted to continue marketing it and the family so it continued for a period of time-jon might have even agreed to it, but when he got caught bar hopping and hanging out with women other than his wife tlc decided to try and salvage the franchise by bolstering kate's image and completly trashing jon's (though he does help them quite a bit). the timing of the divorce, the people article (obviously done ahead of kate's supposed decision to file but held for release), the softening of kate's image and more episodes that flatter her in the 'mother/protector' role-it's just too scripted.

That was so interesting to read -- I can see how a relationship with Elizabeth Taylor would be hard to keep quiet. But it's interesting how she has become a heroine in her own right in the long run.

You could be right about this re Jon and Kate TLC seems to love (need) some drama to keep people watching.

In this day and age, with so many tabloids willing to pay for stories, plus the fact that Kate is going everywhere/doing interviews with so many different people, it will be hard to keep these things secret for a long time.

I don't think it's a coincidence that these same types of stories seem to get repeated everywhere she goes that people are willing to talk eg. Vanity Fair, the charity on ice event, the Today Show.

Kate won't show up...she got everything she could get free out of the woman, and there is nothing left for Kate, she doesn't have a need to go and pay respects...there's nothing in it for her anymore. I firmly believe Kate is a true narcisist and with that, she does not see any need in any actions or deeds that don't benefit her or are not about her in anyway.

I think so too.

Remember, this is the guy who thought he only had to pay $155,000 back to the bank account. Jon is one of the people I would never ask for directions to get anywhere.

As much as am on Kate's side and feel that Jon reveals something almost daily that confirms my observations--


I never once believed that Kate was in anything but a PR characterization at least since the divorce announcement.

I'm less sure of prior to that only b/c we have had no admissions.

But Kate is certainly being spun in a certain direction as to paint her as the innocent victim.

and I know it's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things and I know I keep bringing it up .. but her actions spoke volumes here. How she behaved here is likely representative of how she behaved elsewhere.

Fame is a dangerous thing. If TLC was filling Kate & Jon's heads with talk of branding and how popular and important they were to the network ... why wouldn't they believe it, whether it was true or not? Look at what's happened to them! They're all over the place. NOT at home with their children. It's just crazy.

She should be awake in the middle of the night why? Because some people don't like her attitude when she gives speeches (by the way, most, if not all celebrities have a list of what foods and special items they want in the green rooms..that just isn't that unusual)? Because she's out promoting herself in hopes of gaining new employment? She should stay home and be with the kids..because we absolutely know which days are hers and which are Jon's? I thought we wanted her to gain fame on her own and not with the kids? As far as I know, she is home when she is supposed to be. Maybe not when ROL thinks she should be.
As for TLC showng a better side of Kate..good, the kids need to see that, rather than their dad all over the rag mags with a 22 year old. Other than picky things like how some have said Kate acts, we really don't have any real dirt on her (like the supposed affair)..so we need to make what we do know sound worse than it may be. Pictures and tapes of her behavior..that's what I want to see. Does no one have cell phones capable of taking movies at these places?

I also would not have any idea what was between her and Nana Janet. I assume she would feel badly that she has passed away, as she was someone her children loved. I thought that at one time Nana wasn't around, because Kate said she was not well. I wouldn't assume that she would not be sad about that. I certainly wouldn't assume that Kate wouldn't go to the funeral because she used up everything this woman had to give and was done with her. How would we ever know that?

I agree, I think Kate did enough damage on her own, Just her attitude on the show(weather due to editing or not) would make me not want to hire her. Blaming Jon for her not being able to get a job is CRAZY.

Kate didn’t get where she is by being perfect, she got where she is by being someone real moms could identify with. She needs to remind people that she’s not a true Hollywood story, she’s a mom who cares about providing for her kids.

I think (JMHO) this is why a lot of people in the beginning fell in love with the show. Like I commented earlier, I would love to watch a show of how she got all 8 ready to go trick or treating! I have a hard time with two and would love to see how she does it with 8 (with Jodi and Beth and the kids all helping - that's the picture I have in my head!). Of course I've seen the articles that both J&K were gone for Halloween (at least I think that's what I read this morning) so maybe that's not even something they worried about...who knows. But it would have been a great show....ah the "good ol' days".

IMO, they should BOTH lay awake at night, figuring out how to quickly and quietly resolve their differences, finalize the divorce, quit blabbing to the media, and pray for the future of their family.

Jon and Kate Gosselin became famous because they are parents of a large family. That's it. Time to start acting like parents and less like celebrities. The 15 minutes are up, IMO.

people in the public eye do good and it's reported on all the time, whether it's PR or not.

when is the last time we saw Kate do good? the ice skating benefit she left as soon as she made her appearance?
