Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread--Part 7

I thought Kate said when she was in Charlotte (I think - the women's show???) that the dogs could come back - she just needed a break. I guess I kind of assumed when she said they could come back, they'd be back. I didn't realize they still weren't there. I would think she would have sent the dishes and food with the dogs - I hope this poor breader isn't expected to provide food and everything as well!

As for Jon "pretending" to be out around town, that's crazy. How many fence interviews has he done - people know what his house looks like for pete sakes! :headache:

I'm not sure Jon was pretending he wasn't at his house -- at least I didn't get that from the video. It was RadarOnline that said that, I think.

I'm confused ... when is Jon pretending not to be at home? did he say that and I missed it?

and while I'm not a fan of the paps on the property, at least the children weren't there. it's just Jon this time.

it just says he was spotted in Reading with his friend's dog. How did that turn into Jon pretending to not be at home? :rotfl:

Re Mark Heller's sponsor:
http://www.limelife.com/blog-entry/Jon Gosselin's Lawyer Wants Out/23923.html

I had read something about this last week, but now I can't find it. Apparently, it had nothing to do with Mark Heller's reputation -- the guy just doesn't like reality shows and doesn't want his name attached to a big celebrity divorce.

Imagine -- somebody living in PA and not knowing the Gosselins are getting divorced...

But didn't Kate make a comment how they had to be up very early to do the balloon ride? I know the balloon cannot go up, if the sky is hazy in any way, it has to be a very clear atmosphere.
Not sure about FL but I would imagine it would be the same all over...Balloons don't fly when its too windy (over 10 mph give or take). So in order to get less winds they tend to fly either early in the morning or later in the day. So in the summer I would imagine it would be around 6 a.m. Not sure if that helps with a time line or anything. Just adding my little bit of knowledge. ;) (I used to date a balloon pilot. :goodvibes)

Maybe she just put the items away.

If they are boarding with the breeder, then they would be paying him, and he would provided food. If they have returned them (which most breeders allow for) the breeder would still provide the food, since they would be his once again.

Kate did say they will be back at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath. While it may have seemed like a good idea at the time (that they would come back), after they first left, not a lot has changed in their household, so I wouldn't expect them to come back to this house. Maybe Jon will get them in the divorce settlement, and arrange their full time care and walking somewhere and just bring them to the house on his days. I'd just as soon they not get them back...they seemed more Jon's dogs, than the kids, and I would hate to see them come home and then have to be returned, if the family ends up not staying in the big home. The kid don't need any coming and going of the dogs at this time.

I didn't get that Jon pretended to be waling the dog in town. I assumed his friends lived in town but were now at his house.

I used to fly quite frequently in hot air ballons. A friend of mines family owns a balloon business and often when they had extra room in the basket I would go with them. Yes, it is ususally a early morning flight or a late evening flight. I watched that episode and cringed a little because the girls were standing on stools and it just scared me that they could lean over the edge and fall out. We didn't allow that on our flights, but let the children looks through the foot holes in the basket. It really is a beautiful thing to do, it's warm but I wouldn't say that it is uncomfortable by any means. It's not a constant heat. So I wish that they would have enjoyed it more.

I think she gave the stuff away, which is why Jon did this video. He misses those dogs and he is angry. But I agree with everything else you said, especially the "coming and going of the dogs"

IMO, Jon should just buy a small house that needs some fixing and keep the dogs as his own pets. My brother did that after a big break-up -- he even took a carpentry course and built all new kitchen cabinets himself. It was very therapeutic and he made quite a bit of money when he sold it to settle down with somebody else. Hey -- maybe Jon could start making money flipping properties. :lmao:

I don't think Jon wants the dogs. If he did, he would do just that or move back into the old house. He just wants to boo hoo to his pap buddies and blame Kate some more to get sympathy.

And here I just thought he did the video, because the paps were at his house and he would have yet another chance to get a dig in againt Kate LOL!

I have no idea what she did with the dog stuff..maybe the paps will start going through the garbage and find out for sure. I guess Jon should have taken it home with him.

I can't imagine Jon and Hailey (who will be together forever, according to him) living in a small house that needs some fixing. I also can't imagine Hailey picking up poo from two big dogs while she walks them while Jon is at work :rotfl:.

:lmao: I just imagined that!

And I can't imagine that relationship lasting much longer. JMHO, but if a man ever tells you he likes you because you're sooo different from his ex-wife, run away -- fast. Sooner or later, they'll break up and Jon will have to get down to the business of getting over his marriage and really moving on with his life.

I agree. But Jon strikes me as the kind of guy who needs to be with someone. Like the movie Jerry Macguire. He can't be alone. I think when (not if) he and Hailey part ways, he'll be devastated. Then he'll look for someone new. I wish he would end things with her though and give his kids 100% of his attention. Now is not the time for transitional girlfriends, you know? My dad had a girlfriend lickety-split once my parents divorced and my sister and I felt like we were constantly competing with her for attention. Not a great idea Jon. Plus it's not like he only has 1 or 2 kids to focus on, he has 8 who love him and probably wish they saw him more.

I don't even know if that would be an option, especially without Kate's permission, and that would open up a whole can of worms. :scared1:

I think it takes time to get out of lease, etc. -- it has been just a month since Kate said the dogs had to go.

ITA with this. Which is why I think he needs to learn to be comfortable living alone -- he needs to set his own priorities without the influence of anybody other than his kids. And maybe Rabbie Shmuley -- the more I think about it, the more I like that.

Sort of OT, but not really when you consider the paparazzi follow the nannies too:
http://ca.eonline.com/uberblog/b150092_paps_give_michael_jacksons_kids_lindsay.html

Caution: Paparazzi in mirror are closer than they appear.

A security car trailing a vehicle that was carrying Michael Jackson's three children was rear-ended by a photographer this afternoon in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.

Prince Michael, Paris Katherine and Blanket are said to be fine, though we feel they're a little young to be experiencing the Hollywood starlet treatment.

Lindsay Lohan, for instance, was famously involved in several smashups caused by over-eager paparazzi who just couldn't seem to stay off the girl's fender.

Luckily, teh Jackson brood had a whole other vehicle between them and the offending photog, who took off before police arrived at the crash site, which was just a few miles away from the Jacksons' compound in Encino. A hit-and-run report was filed close to 2:30 p.m.

Earlier this month, a judge determined that the kids were doing "wonderfully" under the care of their grandmother Katherine.

She knew enough to arrange for that extra layer of vehicular paparazzi protection, didn't she?

I'm not sure Jon was pretending he wasn't at his house -- at least I didn't get that from the video. It was RadarOnline that said that, I think.

Exactly, Jon wasn't pretending at all. Radar wrote the story as if they just happened to catch Jon walking about town.

I don't think Jon wants the dogs. If he did, he would do just that or move back into the old house. He just wants to boo hoo to his pap buddies and blame Kate some more to get sympathy.

:thumbsup2 Totally agree. Jon is playing to the court of public opinion.

I think Jon loves the kids very much but like you, I fear that Hailey will damage his relationship with them. She will likely be demanding of his time and not like sharing it with 8 little people.

My parents have no idea. They do not watch the rag shows. I'm not even sure they know who Jon & Kate are. That lawyer is older too.

First I think I need to apologize for saying Jon "pretended" not to be at home. I didn't watch the video - had only went by what was posted here. Sorry!! :flower3:

Next, I had a total Kate moment at the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday morning. DH was telling the kids to keep their hands away from the animals and I just kind of lost it and said in my mommy voice "They can pet them! We were just here two days ago and the people working here told the kids they can pet the animals! That's why it's called a petting zoo!". I'd realized my Kate moment when my friend who was there with another friend and their kiddos said "Yeah [DH's name]!". :headache:

Then, I had another J&K moment yesterday. I was at DS5's school for his Halloween party (no school next week) and one of the girls in the hallway was introducing a girl from her class to (I'm assuming) a mom or someone else. The first little girl says "This is Haley" and the mom says "oh what a nice name!". The second little girl says "yeah just like Jon's girlfriend from tv!". :rotfl: Seriously?? This little kindergardner said it so seriously all I could do was smirk and think of you guys!

My other "moment" at school yesterday was when the teacher was releasing the kids to get in line and they were practicing rhyming words. DS5 was "student of the day" so he got to go first. He rhymed his Halloween word and got in line. The teacher went through a couple other kids and got to another student. The teacher says "[student's name] witch". Without hesitation the little girl rhymed back - you can guess the word she used! All of us adults just laughed and the poor teacher just said "get in line". :rotfl: That was my entertainment yesterday at school!

I'm trying to get caught up with my work so I can follow more closely next week during the hearing and the "special" next Monday night! :goodvibes

Back to J&K - I had to smirk this morning when watching GMA and they were talking about the Phillies going to the World Series....Jon was right!

:rotfl2: OMG -- that is too funny! I think my jaw would drop. :rotfl2:

Sounds like you had an interesting week -- real life is funnier than fiction IMO.
