I'm terrified of pumping gas (I had a nasty accident with a malfunctioning nozzle several years ago, got soaked with gas and had to walk past some smokers to pay the bill.) I'm a wimp.

What a horrible experience! I don't think that makes you a wimp, most people would have a phobia after something like that.

I'm sure it will resurface. I just did a quick search and couldn't find a lot of older stuff either. :confused3

We have noticed that with other videos, like Disney or MJ stuff, it doesn't disappear here and there -- it just all disappears at once so that when we click on our bookmarks we get the message that they've all been removed for copyright infringement. They usually all come back about a month later. It must be somebody's job to search for everything on youtube that violates their copyrights -- I'd like that job. Then again, sometimes the poster is removed, but they just come back under another name and repost everything.

I guess TLC must have been cleaning house this week, at the same time as they were posting the new videos.

I think they've been sending more clandestine posters out to the blogs too -- some of the comments just don't sound like they came from a real person. Most of the companies that do this think they're being so smart, but they pretty much suck at it. The regular posters can see right through them.

Wow I didn't know that there were so many people who go out of their way not to pump gas. I thought that my mom was the only one

I'm trying to find all of the interviews I've missed in the last 2 weeks. This is the first Insider show where they talked about Jon stopping the filming, dated Oct. 1st -- he wasn't there, but they had an exclusive on something:

ETA: I don't know who she is, but one of the panelists really seems to think that they could have the show without the kids. I guess she's never watched the show. :confused3

RE: pumping gas

I remember in the 80s when we could not wait to be old enough to pump gas.:rotfl:

RE: Monday's episode....

When did they get rid of the dogs? I'm asking b/c there was discussion on a date discrepancy and knowing when the dogs were ditched would be helpful--b/c they were in the yard while Jon was having fun with the kids.

mid-September... around the 16th?

Okay--well so much for my super-sleuthing.:rotfl:

I honestly don't think Kate and the girls were sweating enough to be at an arborium--or whatever you call those enclosed "outdoor" spaces that are not air conditioned--in south florida in August.

August was Brutal in Florida and Miami and surrounding areas is no exception.

Speaking of dogs, Jon speaks to the paps on his property again. Looks like I gave him praise too soon.

It is sort of funny because the article makes it sound like he was just going for a walk around town but it is clearly their property.

Wow!! You people have been busy - and without much of anything that's new.. This thread is going to be on fire after the hearing!!

I think Kate might have done more damage to the future of Kate+8 in one Vanity Fair article than Jon did in a whole week of being on The Insider and ET. All over the place, I'm seeing people post "Nobu"

And she ought not to have gone on about The View so much. As one blogger commented "Barbara Walters probably didn't like hearing that her job was "soooo easy" especially coming from somebody who didn't do it so well" She may have burnt some bridges there.

It definitely wasn't one of her most "well thought out" interviews.. And The View comment? Well - you have to consider that this is coming from a person who seems pretty sure that someone is going to hand her her very own talk show on a silver platter.. Time will tell..

i am still so very confused:dance3::dance3::dance3:

initialy jon and kate say that one of the motivating factors of the show was to faciliate their desire to have the real "home" type video documentation of the six little ones they desired but could'nt personaly do because of the demands of raising them, coupled with educating the public on the demands of "real people" struggling to balance the demands of home, work and raising kids-now jon sez the show was scripted and not real, tlc is sueing jon for trying to pursue work (work other than being on the show), and kate says the show has to go on for their support:dance3::dance3:

first kate sez the kids are heartbroken that filming is stopped because it means they can't go as planned to new york (so does that mean filming to the kids equates to trips?):dance3::dance3:, then i read that kate sez the kids are acting up and upset that filming is stopped because of the bonds/close relationships to the production staff (so does that mean filming to the kids equates to conditional relationships?):dance3::dance3:,

now i hear that tlc is posting on youtube videos they've filmed of the kids when they've publicly said they will no longer film the family in order to provide a hiatus for their well being (so does the hiatus only extend to the t.v. show or will the gosselin kids continue to have previously unrealeased film from tlc/private videos from kate/non tlc production staff posted on the internet to facilitate maintaining some kind of product branding?):dance3::dance3:

Confusing? I think "contradictory" would better describe these events..

Who is actually helping Jon? His lawyer? Rabbi Shmuley? I'm guessing they're not giving him too much fashion advice. If wearing his teeny-bopper clothes gets him a free trip to France, why wouldn't he? If young girls are stroking his ego, why wouldn't he be with them? I have no clue about NY or PA, but in IL you can't smoke anywhere inside other than a private residence. If the paps are always outside, they're going to photograph him smoking. And of course they're going to publish the photos with the cigarettes.

Maybe Jon is considering becoming Amish? That would give him the freedom of "rumspringa" (literally, the "running around years") until he decides if he wants to become a full member of the church and community and be baptized? ;)

I think it's interesting that this "wild side" of Jon never surfaced until he was out from under Kate's controlling thumb.. Doesn't make it right - just makes it what it is..

Same for Kate.

Jon stopped the filming of the kids! It's all that matters. Not important, don't care..

The end result seems to be lost on many.. The "why's" and the "but's" don't change a thing.. The kids aren't currently "working" and that's a good thing.. None of the rest is important.. :thumbsup2

I think we can pretty much guarantee that Kate wouldn't have pulled the plug for the kids for a looooong time. She has said repeatedly that she loves what their doing, even when her husband is sitting next to her saying he's unhappy. Kate is Kate. She is driven, selfish and addicted to the limelight. Women like her won't let anything stand in the way of what they want.

Vanity Fair has shown her as she truly is, those quotes are her words and they illustrate how fame hungry, selfish and egotistical she truly is. It's like she's in her own world (she has said this herself too) and people around her don't get her notice. Sheesh, she stepped on a little boy's foot and acted rude. How about her attitude towards the personal shopper? Rude and flippant. These actions corroborate with many other things said by people who've either hosted an event for her, seen her live or come in contact with her. Is everyone wrong? Is it such a stretch to believe she's like this when we see how treats others on the show?

I think the problem with Kate is that she doesn't see where she's gone wrong. Her attitude is simply that she's right, doing it all correct and there's nothing to be apologize for. I'll bet $ that she thinks Jon is to blame for everything. Look how she talked about him in the People Mag. article "We Might Split Up". From reading that, it seems that Kate is perfect and Jon has caused all this trouble. What was convienently left out of course, is that she told Jon their marriage was over last Oct. I believe that. Kate is all about Kate, being in the spotlight, maintaining her celebrity status and using her kids to do it. As harsh as that sounds, that is what I think about her. What caring mother would subject her children to reality TV, especially when going through a very public divorce? She could've pulled the plug and given her children time and space to adjust and heal. Nope, the show must go on and I'll bet she is fuming mad at Jon for stopping her gravy train.

Disclaimer: I am NOT saying Jon is without fault either..

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

If you read back in the thread, you will see where I think Jon can do PLENTY wrong. I am definately not a fan. It just seems that you pick up on my posts that bash Kate - but don't notice my ones against Jon. I am an equal opportunity J&K basher. They are both egocentric greedy selfish expoitive trash. In fact, it is a real shame that they broke up because they truly deserve each other. I may come down on Kate more, but that is because Jon has been such an idiot in the press, that I really don't think there is anything to be said to shed any light on him or his behavior. He is too stupid to hide anything or pretend to be more than he is. He is just Jon. Like he wants to be. He is just being himself like he always wanted to, but Kate wouldn't let him. (He is an idiot, but at least he is not hiding the fact he is an idiot.) Kate on the other hand is much more deceptive, much more of an actress and has an army of people helping her to appear to be more than she is. That is why I enjoy a good article like the VF one that sort of strips all that facade away. I enjoy when duplicitious people are exposed. So, yes, I probably have more to say about Kate, because there is SO much she is hiding. That's all.

Nice summary.. :)

I'm interested in the results of the PA Labor Dept's investigation findings. For the record, I used to work for State Government (a different state and in Human Services) and I'm not at all surprised that the investigation is still in process. The wheels of government grind exceedingly slowly, but given the lawsuit and Jon's defence I would bet that those state employees have been scrambling this week to get the report out.
.

I'm hoping this will be forthcoming soon.. It will be very interesting to see what their determinations are.. I keep thinking back to the Good Housekeeping photo shoot.. Sorry - that was not "kids just playing" - that was work - and the kids were none too happy about it..

Next week is going to be an absolute media blitz.. Between the phoney "Ask Kate" deal that TLC is trying to pass off as "real" - to the hearing on Monday - it's going to be one heck of a wild ride!!!:eek:

I wouldn't say it is "phony" so much as it will be very ummmm.....filtered as it always is on any show. They answer the questions they WANT to answer.

No kidding. I'm not even the slightest bit interested in watching. I'm sure she'll use her TLC approved responses..."we can only move forward, we can't go back" or "this is the realest reality show out there". If she utters those answers I'm sure they'll be collective vomiting around the United States! Ok, that was tad snarky but I'm heartily sick of hearing those robotic phrases.

I really hope she doesn't mention anything more about how the kids are acting, reacting or handling the divorce. I just cringe everytime either J&K say something like about that. Geez, can't these kids get any privacy to feel what they're feeling without mom and dad blabbing it for the world to read?

August was Brutal in Florida and Miami and surrounding areas is no exception.

I questioned this too.
Me and the girls had to find shade or be in airconditioning or in water, while we were there in August. When we came out of the water, we had to sit under shade. But didn't Kate make a comment how they had to be up very early to do the balloon ride? I know the balloon cannot go up, if the sky is hazy in any way, it has to be a very clear atmosphere. But if people saw her there at a Cheese Cake Factory resturant with the girls, she must have been.

:lmao:

But pulling a kid up by the arm to put them in their time out spot, I have done (following the threat "if you won't move your body, I will move it for you"). Probably I do things differently because I spent a lot of years taking care of other people's kids before I had my own. Moving them by pulling their arm is a method of redirecting a child that is considered acceptable here, whereas hitting under any circumstances is not.
I'm not talking about leading a child with their arm. He has on many occasions, lifted them by one arm to move them. I personally would never lift a 2-4 year old by an arm. We did discuss it once, but I don't remember the discussion outcome....it was several threads ago.

I'm pretty sure there's a TLC rep on the facebook page, posing as a regular poster. A new poster, but everything is soooo pro-Kate and pro-TLC, and a lot of what they're writing sounds like the very words that come out of Kate's mouth. And she has been on every single thread today, all day.

You can just tell she's digging for information -- it's weird. I wonder if they'll be over here soon. :confused3

I thought Kate said when she was in Charlotte (I think - the women's show???) that the dogs could come back - she just needed a break. I guess I kind of assumed when she said they could come back, they'd be back. I didn't realize they still weren't there. I would think she would have sent the dishes and food with the dogs - I hope this poor breader isn't expected to provide food and everything as well!

As for Jon "pretending" to be out around town, that's crazy. How many fence interviews has he done - people know what his house looks like for pete sakes! :headache:
