These aren't things most here think? Do you think only Kate thinks these things? Am I the only one who thinks his PR guy is trying to clean up his act?

I used a wink that means I'm kidding. I thought I was being funny because Kate likes Jon cleaned up & wants the old Jon back. I did'nt mean to upset you.



I had no idea people called you Kate in the past. I really was not trying to start anything. I also like Kate so I would not care if someone called me that. Sorry I thought you liked her too. But I could be getting people mixed up around here.

I stand corrected... apparently she does try to pump gas now. ..problem was her card was denied...(according to the paps) maybe she didn't know how to work the pump? and had to go in to pay? BTW - I'm sorry for those that "don't go there" as far as making comments about appearence, but. this. hair. Not only it is bilevel (or tri-level or what ever), but now it's 2-tone like an old Buick Century. AIyiyi , I just. don't. get. it.

You have to pump your own gas around here. I can't rememeber that last time I saw a gas station in PA with an attendant. I hate pumping gas.

In NJ you are not allowed to pump your own gas.

I think you need to go back and actually read what I wrote. If you think I haven't pointed out Kate's faults and mistakes, you are not reading the words. Do I tear her or Jon apart viciously? Nope, I just can't do that. I can't judge what I don't really know. There have been several, who have beat her into the ground and made fun of her right along (yet, without havng a complete story of why Jon pulled the plug, he has become a hero. I just happen to want to wait to see the end of the story before giving him a high five. I have no prolblem, once it all comes out giving him an atta boy..but first I want to make sure he wasnt bargaining the kids, and they called his bluff). I have to live with myself, so I just can't do that. I have to tell myself that these are real people, with children that will be reading your and other's posts. Do I think either of them have not been without fault or flaws? Nope, if you really have read what I wrote, you would see that. I have said over and over, that with the divorce now so public, they should stop the show. I have said they both need to stop talking to the press. Those are things I know about. I have said Kate needs to stop mentioning the paps when with her children, Kate needs to not talk on TV about the personal way her children are dealing with the divorce, I can comment when Kate's on a talk show..if I think she did fine, I have no problem saying it. I see and hear Jon when he talks about his teenybopper soul mate, or comes to the fence to talk to the paps. I see how he dresses. Those things I feel comfortable talking about. The stuff I really don't know about, or know if it's true or don't have a complete picture of? Nope, I just can't tear them apart for those things. I do have to admit, I am often for the underdog, if I think they are being ganged up on, without all the facts known. Prob why I was for Jon in the begining when Kate was so disrespectful to him. Mostly, I'm about the kids . I just might not see things the same as you. If you think my not viciously tearing apart or hating Kate (or Jon) like some like do, is a fault of mine, it's one I'll wear with pride.

By the way, there are several who are willing to give Kate a chance . It's just that many were smarter than me, and have left the thread. It's nicer to discuss somethings via PM.

Really not being personal. More making fun of Kate and the things she would likely say than of you. It is completely your right and perogative to feel the way you do and also your right to post about it all day long if you want to. I do have to admit that I do picture a PR person feverishly pounding at the computer when I read many of your posts. Not being personal, just, that it is my right to think that too. The reason I do is because you (and maybe 1 other) have been unfailingly fiercley defensive of Kate though the whole thing.Not seeing any flaws or how she might be totally expoiting her kids constantly. Where most of us used to have a side, but now think they are both idiots and just feel sorry for the kids. Again, that is your right. Our differences are what make discussing this stuff fun. We don't have to agree.

I would love to know what dealership he bought it from.
This probably isn't a big deal to anyone,
but in the moto-cross world, "no one" can buy
a 4-wheeler, or 2-wheel bike for their child.
If you buy one, you have to sign a confidentiality agreement, that no child will be riding and I'm sure Jon signed it and said, "he would be driving it."

Yup -- it's weird because it was always there before. Now, it and other ones that I had found like Jon and Kate's worst moments (I had to watch some of these so I would know what people were talking about on this thread eg. when they were talking about Kate slapping Jon) just don't seem to be there. In fact, none of the videos that I watched that got me to the one with the slap are there.

Reminded me of Madge's post last night about TLC adding 5 new videos on Youtube. I wish I had bookmarked at least one, because then I would know whether TLC had them removed for copyright violation.

So, for now, here's the synopsis. Kate is standing at the fridge surrounded by the tups in the new house. One of the boys is on her right hand side and she hits him in the face with the back of her hand to make him move away -- it wasn't a punch but then again it was enough to make his head turn. It may not have been that noticeable when they were editing it, but the person who posted it on youtube slowed it down and repeated it about 5 times.

if I ever do find it again, I promise to post it -- if TLC did have it removed, it will definitely be posted again.

You didn't upset me. I just didn't get it..and I was multitasking so I was busy (writing my PR stories I guess, for TLC ). I didn't know what kind of smiley that was.

I don't hate Kate, so you have that right. I recognize she's done a lot of things I would have done differently, but I also don't think she's done a lot of these things to be mean. I think she (and Jon) are watched carefully, and while he can do things people normally wouldn't have liked, because Kate was not nice to him, she can't, because apparently people only saw Jon being nice to her (did they watch the same show I watched? Or did they have the volumn down, since he said what he had to say quietly) LOL. I think they both love their kids, but I think of the two, she is doing the lesser things that get her in rag mags, that will hurt her children when they see them. But that's my own opinion..your's may vary.

I know you have ot pump your own gas there, that is how it is here too. It's just there was an old JK8 episode where Kate admitted that she didn't pump gas and thought it was "icky" and was a man's job. (she tended to think most things including giving babies baths etc. etc. were mens jobs back then (or nanies jobs, or volunteers jobs etc) It showed her coming home, parking the car, and telling Jon that he needed to go put gas in it....and of course Jon queitly and begrudingly doing it. I was thinking since she did have Jon to pump the gas that maybe she had passed that job along to a some caretaker...but looks like she is actually giving it a try.

Oh..I thought she actually raised a hand and slapped one of the kids. I was off trying to find it (spanking and hitting aren't done in our home and I hated when Kate spanked one of the little kids). So she moved him away from the fridge with the back of her hand. His head turned, so that's considered a slap. See, that's the type of stuff I hate to see reported, and considered something bad that Kate did. She was moving him away from the fridge, and now it's a slap. So, has anyone else here every moved your child away from you with the back of your hand? (How about when Jon pulls them by the arm, which he does a lot..is that OK? I never see anyone talk abut that).

I get that Jon seems to be the "nicer" person of the two and why most people like him more. He can schmooze with the fans and all the paps that follow him. However, Jon has shown time and again over the last 8 months that he can be very sneaky. Personally, I would much rather deal with a person like Kate, because what you get is what you see. She likes doing TV and having the kids on TV and makes no bones about it. Jon does one thing and says another.

Now having said that, I think they both are boneheads. I just think that Jon has been the bigger bonehead throughout this ordeal. I am proud of him lately for not giving a comment to every pap like he was doing before. Go Jon! That is what your children need to continue to hear...no comment.

I really hope the judge puts some finality to this mess on Monday and everyone can move forward.

They got transferred to CO in their late 50s and she has no intention of pumping her own gas. She will if she has to but really tries to either go to a station with an attendant or have DDad do it. He loves her and just does it. And I hate pumping my own gas too. When we're out of state I always let DH do it if he's with me. If he's not, I will pump it.

Oh, no -- it was definitely a hit. I guess you have to see it, which is why I'm ticked that I can't find the video right now.

It was no harder than I've seen her hit Jon, but with the back of her hand. Some people might find it acceptable, some not -- which is why I used it as an example of how we don't know what their motives are -- we can't.

It's certainly something I would never do, but then again I'm not a spanker. There are so many other alternatives. But pulling a kid up by the arm to put them in their time out spot, I have done (following the threat "if you won't move your body, I will move it for you"). Probably I do things differently because I spent a lot of years taking care of other people's kids before I had my own. Moving them by pulling their arm is a method of redirecting a child that is considered acceptable here, whereas hitting under any circumstances is not.

I was trying to follow up on this the other day, after your post about Star and National Enquirer, and somebody asking whether they might be connected to TLC (so far nothing on that)

But American Media Inc. own National Enquirer, Star, Country Weekly, and Globe plus a bunch of fitness magazines including Shape and Fit Pregnancy. Apparently they don't own Life & Style.

Not defending Kate or anything but my DM does this to my DDad. She spent almost her entire adult life in NJ. They got transferred to CO in their late 50s and she has no intention of pumping her own gas. She will if she has to but really tries to either go to a station with an attendant or have DDad do it. He loves her and just does it. And I hate pumping my own gas too. When we're out of state I always let DH do it if he's with me. If he's not, I will pump it.

We still have a few gas stations here in the city that have 1 lane with an attendant, but all have self-serve. In the country where we spend our summers, most still have an attendant. I got to know which ones had an attendant, and which ones I could pay at the pump when I had my DD -- I just refused to have to take her out of the car to go in and pay, so I only went to the ones where I didn't have to do that.

Oh, OT I know, but that is one of the areas where I actually identify with Kate. I'm terrified of pumping gas (I had a nasty accident with a malfunctioning nozzle several years ago, got soaked with gas and had to walk past some smokers to pay the bill.) My darling DH, probably because he knows I drive several miles out of my way to go to a full-service station, checks and puts gas in my car every Saturday. No, I never asked him to do it, and yes, he has stood by me while I hyperventilate at the pump in trying to get over the phobia. I'm a wimp.
