Who was physically in the home, running it the past week/two weeks?

or the week when Jon and Kate were both gone a few weeks ago?

I do not believe that Jon or Kate participate in the day to day upkeep of the home -- laundry, changing bed sheets, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, etc. I'd be surprised if Jon or Kate mowed the lawn or took care of their landscaping. I'd also be surprised if they took their cars for oil changes and tire rotations, in spite of Kate getting her own gasoline.

I do believe that Kate does prepare meals, sometimes. I also believe she pays some of the bills. We've seen Jon and Kate take the children to appointments and to the school bus. Occasionally, Kate runs errands at Target and the grocery.

It's not a big deal, but I'm curious. Did they shop themselves around? Like a make a tape and send it out and everything? I thought I had heard or read that Discovery heard about them and came to them with the idea of a documentary? Or maybe that Discovery found them from that homemaker show they were on? I can't remember exactly.


And about wondering what ever attracted them to each other. I've often wondered that, but when I watch earlier videos of them and video from their wedding and honeymoon at WDW, Kate seems alot more carefree back then. She also seemed very young to me, in those early videos they seem much more suited to each other than now. Some people totally change when they have kids...it most definitely seems to have changed Kate. Kate and Jon don't seem to have "grown" well together.

This is probably very true. She was young & more carefree (like Jon still is). With the birth of multiples, esp. premies she probably became overly OCD & anal just due to stress and Jon continued being carefree which I'm sure annoyed her. I'm sure she felt like she was carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and he was off in lala land. Now, he's in love w/ his soulmate who is a carefree 22 y/o. They will prob. eventually get married and have children, stress will kick in w/ her and she'll become irritable, he'll still be in lala land, .....I predict a pattern.

It was reported on Showbiz tonight and elsewhere that a white moving van removed equipment from the house a couple of days ago. It was kept pretty quiet, and I'll see if I can find a better source. Jon was there and not Kate.

Don't forget, before Jon pulled the plug on TLC, they pulled the plug on him. Was it for the good of the children, or out of spite?

I've been looking for a link and can't seem to find one, other than the reports of people hearing it said on Showbiz Tonight.

That's something I'd think the paps would be ALL over.

That's what I was thinking. It would be all over radaronline and other sites like that. And I do not think Jon has been home for a while except for the time he was there for the b-day party.

What are you saying that they have to do that none of us has to do?

From what I've read, they don't have to do most of what most people do in order to keep their home running. They have their lawn taken care of, someone to cook for them, someone to do the laundry including roning/dry cleaning, some to clean, a nanny... so what exactly is it that they have to do to keep their home running? I doubt that she even does her own shopping.

I saw it on Inside Edition, the actual film of the white van leaving and I saw it yesterday around 4:30.

It was last night that they said on Showbiz Tonight that TLC was seen removing their equipment from the property. I don't remember him saying when it was removed. Maybe a neighbor called them? Or someone hanging out at the fence. But Kate would have had to have been there. Jon was in California until Tuesday or Wednesday before the twins birthday, he didn't have custody until today and I'm sure it was yesterday they mentioned TLC moving out their stuff.

Don't forget -- Jon divulged that TLC pays for the landscaping at the house. IMO, they should since they probably care more how it looks for the tv shots.

Madge, I totally agree with you about Kate probably not needing to do much work running the household. She might be the type of employer who reviews every schedule, to-do list, etc. but then again, she's only there half the time when she is in PA at all. According to Jon (same interview) she schedules the nannies that TLC provides for the filming -- he also said that she made sure none were available for when he was taping and he had to pay for babysitters out of his own money. Maybe true, maybe not. Since Kate has demanded he account for all of the money he spends, this will be brought out in front of the arbitrator -- we'll probably know exactly what his budget is by Friday.

I think TLC tried to do it without any hoopala. I think they have taken some heat with all that has transpired over the last couple weeks and don't want to admit defeat. I don't know if Jon really had the power to shut down the show, or if the low ratings and sponsors probably pulling out had anything to do with the show shutting down so quickly.

While you were on vacation Z on TV had a good article saying J & K plus 8 is dead and Kate plus 8 is on life support (sorry I don't have the link).

I really missed your comments on this thread when you were away. I enjoy your posts and enjoy your opinions.
