Well if we believe those rumors about Kate Majors and Stephanie, then I guess we should believe Kate was having an affair with Steve the bodyguard? We have no idea if any of those rumors are true.

As soon as I see a picture of Kate sneaking out of Steve's house in the early morning, hear Steve telling us they were sleeping together while Kate was still with Jon, and hear her tell us that he is her soulmate, yep, I'll believe that rumor too.

Totally OT here but, did those of you who watched the Duggars tonight for Anna's birth see that Scott and Steve (from J&K+8) were there filming and took turns holding the new baby?

Yes, I saw him there..that was cute.

So? Just because they came forward doesn't mean it's true. There were reports that Kate and Steve were holding hands and that Mady saw then together too. I don't believe those rumors either. This whole mess is full of rumors so I tend not to believe sketchy people who come forward claiming an affair.

It was shown at the end of ET as exclusive interview coming up tomorrow. They showed the brunette reporter with Jon doing a sit down interview and asking him questions about his day in court.

If so, here is my standard response: he denied an affair in both of those cases, and if he did do it IMO he was cheating on Hailey, not Kate (who had already filed for divorce and made it quite clear to him that she didn't want to be married to him for nearly a year before that) but there was a period where he said they were on a break. He also has said that he never smoked pot, and I don't believe much of what Stephanie said, or what Kate Major said, since it was in their best interests monetarily to come out with the most scandalous story possible -- they both benefited from telling these stories so IMO that makes them less credible.

And when he did the interview with Chris Cuomo, he said he was jealous of the time that Kate spent with Steve traipsing around the country while he was at home with the kids -- he still wanted to be married to Kate then, and I don't blame him for being jealous. I don't think Kate had an affair with Steve either, but then I always give both of them the benefit of the doubt until there is actual proof.

Can we lay this one to rest soon? I'm more interested in finding out when the divorce hearing is -- last I heard it was scheduled for Oct. 22nd.

I don't know, it's a bit more than rumors IMHO. There is a picture of Stepanie Santoro sneaking out of the Gosselin house in the wee hours of the morning wearing the same clothes as the night before. True, no sex tape, but close enough. As for Kate Major, I don't know about her, nothing like that with her and I wouldn't take her word for it, but when Larry King asked Jon point blank about Kate Major, he didn't out and out deny it, he just said Kate Major was one of his mistakes.

It must have been another interview he did then (there have been soooooo many) where he said the only person he had slept with since Kate was Hailey.

As for Stephanie Santoro, there was a picture of her leaving the garage, but wouldn't Jon have been sleeping in the house at that time?

IMO, the funniest part of the Kate Major issue was how she went on and on about Jon picking her up at his neighbour's house on an ATV, and then she suddenly reversed her story and said that never happened, that he only suggested it and she didn't think it was a good idea. I'll bet she was never off the payroll for the Star because she got a lot of free publicity for that magazine.

Does anyone know if Jon/Kate are being paid for being on the View, the Today show, Larry King, ET, Inside Edition, etc? I keep reading about people saying they are being paid, but I didn't think some shows paid (like Larry King and the Today show).

I had not even thought about what would happen if Jon could not pay back the money he was ordered to pay.

What is the divorce laws in PA? Here is Texas, it is 50/50, no alimony, so that makes it easy to figure out. I'm sure the court system will be able to figure out all of the money issues....hopefully they will set up trusts for the kids!

I don't think either one broke the "gag" order today, Kate and her attorney made a statement, and then Jon's attorney made a statement. Although why is Mark Heller commenting on it? I didn't think he was licensed to practice in PA?

In this day and age, no one had a cell phone to take a picture of them holding hands? And I have no doubt Mady saw them together. They are always together. That's his job. Show me a picture and I may believe the rumor. As for Jon..if it quacks like a duck....

That said, however, if someone posts, that we shouldn't believe the rumors about Jon having an affair, if we don't believe it about Kate, and one shows pictures, and the other doesn't. Well, I guess I'll decide if I want to talk about it. If you don't want to believe that Jon 'dated' Steph, or Kate the second or the other bimbo teacher, that's your choice. We revisit a lot of things on this board, and this happens to be one that will be revisited as often as Jon has other 'friends'.

I just feel like I post the same thing every time this comes up -- actually I probably do, as do a lot of other people. I guess I've just agreed to disagree.

And I have no doubt that Jon will have many other "friends" -- despite what he says, I'm betting Hailey is going to be known as the transitional girl. He likes her because she treats him so differently than Kate did, and that is not something to build a lasting relationship on.

They would not get paid for the Today Show and LKL, they just pay expenses such as hotel, transportation and a food allowance. ET and Inside Edition can pay out money.

Depends on the state.

Some states are dual consent (both parties must consent or it is illegal) and some are singel consent (effectively--the person doing the recording is enough permission.)

Doris, you're misunderstanding me. My point in even bringing up Kate and Steve was to illustrate that I don't believe that rumor either. There are so many rumors flying around about Jon and different women and Kate and Steve that I just don't believe any of them. Just because 2 women came forward doesn't mean it's true. They asked the gal that did the birthing class if she would still be their midwive (doula is what I think they called her) if they decided on a home birth while at their class. She said yes. Once they found out the doc was out of town, they went with the home birth.

I tivo'd the Roloff's. I've only watched the first few minutes. I know I heard at the end of their last season they were having marital problems, but I was still surprised to hear Amy say they are going in different directions and 'kid' about divorce. I wonder if they will be the next reality divorce. I wonder if we are getting small hints now to prepare us.

A doula is not a midwife--she's a birthing assistant to help mom through labor and not and never licensed to attend a birth (in regards to delivery).

However--a doula CAN be a licensed midwife. My friend is a doula and studying to become a midwife.

The articles said they had a doula AND a midwife---I thought that misleading as it makes it sound like 2 people attended--clearly on the video footage--it is just the doula which tells me she must be a midwife b/c there would be no reason to risk fines by doing something she isn't licensed to do on national television.

Not just rumors about Jon and women! One of the young mothers at the library (I volunteer with my dog at a pre-school program) swore yesterday that Kate is having an affair, but not with Steve. She claimed to have seen photographic evidence that Kate and her new baby sitter were an item.

No idea whether this is true or not, I'm just reporting what she said. I find it hard to care what either of the parents do these days, and I can't even remember the babysitter's name, so I'll leave it to better internet sleuths than I to track down if they want.

The divorce hearing was set for late October, but from my quick look at PA law (and I'm not an attorney) a no-fault divorce will not be granted unless and until the parties have reached agreement through arbitration regarding custody and division of assets. This doesn't seem likely at this point.
