I'm not sure that Kate going on the Today Show helped the situation.

Could these 2 (and TLC) not have waited until after the girls' birthday to make such a public spectacle? IMO the birthday issue didn't help, but I think the paparazzi were always going to be there.

I absolutely agree Kate should not have gone on The Today show or called into The View, but she was on both shows put together a total of maybe 20 minutes on the same day. Jon has gone on at least 3 shows and has been on one or more shows every single night for a week.

And ok, maybe the paparazzi were going to be there, but Jon told them he was picking them up at the bus stop. I don't believe there would have been NEARLY the coverage if he had not read Kate's email to them. Maybe instead of 20 there would have only be 3 or 4 if he hadn't done that.

And there is no way, absolutely none, to defend Jon going out to the fence tonight to talk to the paparazzi, that is just beyond stupid.

I agree, definitely on purpose. The tabloid jerks love it when they think there will be drama or fighting. I wish Jon wouldn't encourage them.

At least Kate ignores the "P" people. And notice they aren't following her as much. They are always on top of Jon because he stops and chats with them.

Kate never says one word to the paps that follow, she just ignores them. Jon seems to invite them in and they seem to feel like they can cross the boundaries with him. Like trying to film what is on his phone or stick the camera in the car to get the girls. Which scares me when the kids are in tow.

Jon, Jon, Jon. He is such an idiot. That video is ridiculous. What kind of father just stands there while a strange camera man films his 2 little girls in the backseat?? What is wrong with them? How is this a good thing for the kids? How will this give them a better life? How will all these 'life experiences' benefit them when their privacy is so invaded? Augh, they both make me ill. It's almost as if they took out their brains when the signed their TLC contract. Speaking of TLC, if they had any heart or conscience, they would announce that J&K+8 (Kate+8) is done. Period. It was just so disturbing to see that flock of paps form a semi-circle around Cara & Mady and even more disturbing that Jon let them. If that were my DH, he would've been punching cameras left and right to move them out of the way.

ITA. I was physically ill watching the footage at the bus stop. And yet Jon had no problem telling them not to lean on his fence at his home. Jon and Kate both need to get in their faces and say look I may be free game but stay away from my kids!!!!

I can't watch the video of the pick up, but when you say they act like they don't like their father, it makes me so sad. I worry that Kate may poison them against him. And not that he doesn't deserve some of that, but still, he is their dad. I wouldn't wish their lives on anybody.

Don't watch it Kidshop. It is sad....but I think Mady & Cara adore their daddy, just like they always have. There were so many camera's snapping and it just seemed to ruin the intimate moment in my mind. Some kids shy away from hugging and stuff with a bus load of peers sitting and watching too.

I was praying today for the girls to have a great birthday. Now I think the one thing those 8 need more than anything is a GAG order to be placed on those parents. No interviews, no magazines, no chatting with the paps.

Gosselin versus Gosselin will be heading back to court next Tuesday.

The feuding reality couple will head back to Montgomery County Court in Pennsylvania as Kate Gosselin seeks to get $230,000 that her estranged husband Jon reportedly took from their account without her knowledge.

The pair’s initial showdown was cancelled earlier this week after the judge in the case had to be excused after his wife died of cancer.

Jon’s lawyer has contested Kate’s claims alleging that she is the one that has taken monies from the couple’s account.

During his recent media blitz in Los Angeles, Jon claimed that his soon-to-be ex-wife was in charge of finances and he wants to know what happened to the $2.2 million the couple entered from TLC since filming began on Jon And Kate Plus 8.

Kate countered by claiming that her husband was financially irresponsible by wasting money on flashy cars and four-wheelers while she could no longer pay her own bills.

It’s understood that the couple’s bank records will be produced in court so that the arbitrator can get to the bottom of the financial fall-out.

Jon Gosselin recently pulled the plug on the TLC show after they announced they were ditching him and re-naming it Kate Plus 8 instead.

This says the bank records have not been produced yet & the judge is having the arbitrator go over them on tuesday

The original court date was to be with the judge, so I would expect he would have had the banking records by yesterday. If this was taking place here, I'd be certain of that, since subpoenas normally require records like that to be produced within 24 hours. Kate's filing claimed that Jon was already guilty of contempt. The fact that they are going to the arbitrator, not the judge, probably means that at the very least Jon would be given some time to put the money bank. Or can the arbitrator bring charges against a defendant in PA -- that seems unlikely to me.

Does an arbitraitor have the power to hold him in contempt (If that's what they decide) or does that then have to go back to a Judge? I'm not sure how that works, we never used an arbitraitor.

Here, the arbitrator wouldn't. They could give Jon an order, but if that wasn't followed he'd be sent to the judge -- the judge would charge him with contempt if he didn't have a valid reason for not complying with the arbitrator's order.

I don't know if they don't like him...they did kind of keep their distance but with the age they are at, all the paps around and a bus full (I assume other kids on the bus) would maybe make them not be all "daddy daddy, we missed you" type of greeting. I think they looked a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Not as many, but she wasn't telling them to go away or punching them out either. There were a few questions about when she was going to start working at McDonalds.

I think it's really easy to just blame Jon for the bus-stop pick-up fiasco, but IMO with the stuff that's been happening the past week, the paparazzi would have been there under any circumstances -- if the only thing that had happened was that TLC wrote Jon out of the show, they'd be there.

Having said that, I truly believe there has to be much more protection for children under any circumstances, whether it's kids on a reality show, a movie, or someone whose famous parent passed away. They're not old enough to sign a contract, have little control over where they go and how much privacy they have, and need to be protected much more than adults. Yes, I believe in free speech, but I also believe in protecting childrens' privacy and IMO unless the pictures are going to make them safer or protect them in some way, they should not be allowed without the express written consent of their parent or guardian.

that's bothered me for a long time. the TLC crew, the paparazzi photographers and even the fans that take the children's pictures ...

I don't understand why on earth Jon and Kate Gosselin believe this is a healthy environment for the children. To be so obsessed with fame and money is something I cannot even imagine.

I agree Madge! I don't understand why people choose to put personal photos of weddings, children, etc....on my space and facebook for all to see. I can't believe some of the people who post on youtube videos of themselves singing and they sound awful! Don't these people realize that a search on the internet could reveal information that they might not want out there??

Fame and money are why Kate wants to continue the show. Z on TV had an article today that said J & K plus 8 is dead. Kate plus 8 is on life support. They have lost 4 out of 5 viewers because of all the lies, deceit, etc.....

I'm glad the twins got nice gifts from Jon. At least they are getting to share some of the money they earned over the past 5 yrs.

The reason I thought the new lawyer is friends with Michael Lohan is because there is a picture of Michael Lohan, Jon and the lawyer walking on the beach in the Hamptons and also because one of the sites, Radar or TMZ, one of them, with captioned the picture "with Lohan former attorney Mark Heller." Maybe Michael Lohan fired Heller...which makes things even worse. Who wants a lawyer Michael Lohan fired?

The whole live streaming of his arrival was all because the email and comments about WWIII. I don't think Jon has learned to keep his mouth quiet at all the last 24 hours. I saw a video on TMZ of Jon giving a update about the birthday, why in the world did he feel like he needed to do that? There was also no need for him to say anything to the paps and I think it's amazing that he could talk to them in a friendly manner while a bunch of grown *** men crowded and took pictures of his daughters. If I were them, I would hope my father protected me from scary situations like that, not encouraged it.
