Jon is just as guilty of bashing, whining and leaving his children on his custody days.

Yeah...no kidding. I'm not on either side.b I think they are both trash. Just saying Kate is really no better than him.

He's on ET right now and seems pretty mad! I hate this guy. I don't like kate either but I'm on her side if I had to pick one. But they both need to grow up and do what's right for the kids and get out of the limelight.

And when was Jon's custody? I thought I read he wanted Kate to come back early Sunday, but she said she couldn't...so if Jon's custody was over the weekend, wasn't he in California? There were pictures of him at The Ivy restaurant and I know The Insider is taped in California. I know, Kate is gone too, I'm just curious if anyone was with the kids all weekend? Which is soooooooooooooooooooooo ridiculous, I can't stand it. Why couldn't Kate do her Today show thing by satellite?

I think is really cold to be saying this about the children. You do not know this to be true.

I agree about the therapy bills x 8, making 200k look like nothing. It doesn't take someone with a PHD to know that these children are going to need counseling in this situation.

These parents need to QUIT talking on TV and talk to each other. It is ridiculous, it is enough already. They both need to be away from cameras and make their children feel loved and secure. Jon and Kate are making me sick with their actions.

Perhaps she was with her lawyer when doing the conference call dealing with daddy taking their money which is why she was not home today.

ummm, no. I'm pretty sure I saw her on the Today show in New York this morning with my own eyes. I also heard her calling into the View. Busy busy girl in NY this morning. Conference call with lawyer could have been made from home. But as she said "she needed to get her side out there so that when the kids look back at this...they will see her side" Note to Kate : start a private journal and present that to your kids if they ask...no need to barage ALL of our children with this.

When I got married we both decided that I would stay at home to raise them. I quit college and got married. 13 years later he decided he "wasn't happy" and left me with 3 kids. I went back to school and got a degree so I could support my kids. It can be done and both Jon and Kate need to quit TV and get jobs and raise their kids the right way.
As to the kids having the crew as their playmates. It is time for sleep overs, play dates (I hate that word) we just used to hang out with our friends, join after school clubs like boy scouts or girl scouts, or even go to the Y with friends.

Jon did say tonight that when he has his time with the kids he is there with them but almost every time it is Kates she is out somewhere doing TV or talk shows. He is right, I do see the photos of him with the kids all the time but haven't seen any of Kate with the kids for a while except those old ones from the show.
He also said he doesn't want to bring up dirt and hurt Kate. I really think it will come out and she will be sorry she started placing blame, she is not going to come out of this looking good.

Exactly. Why can't they grow up and talk to EACH OTHER? Jon say she doesn't respond to him or his text messages. Why does she just start responding to him and not to Meredith Veira. Worlds biggest trash mom.

After all is said and done, I am putting these two in the same category as so many lottery winners across the world. The story is the same, and sad, case after case. A person who is barely making ends meet day to day takes a few presious dollars and plays the lotto. Surprise and shock, they win. Regardless of the amount they win in their minds, they are set for life and money will never again be an issue. When you read these stories the ending is all to familiar. They wind up broke because they spend like they are Bill Gates and all to soon the money is gone. That's where these two are at. Their sole income was generated by the show and fame resulting from the show. (Kate's book and speaking deals) Then all of a sudden there is trouble in paradise and the money might stop flowing. They realize they can't lead the same lifestyle they have become accustom to and reality sets in. Then it gets ugly, real ugly.

The situation is similar to what I encountered in my own life and what I am sure millions of Americans have encountered and continue to encounter every day. I worked in trading and made good money for a number of years. Then one day the bottom fell out and the great income stopped. I continued to work but the bonuses were not there and the pay was less. The difference between where I am today and where a lot of the people I worked with are is that I never bought the house I could only afford with the higher pay. I continued to drive my eight year old pickup truck. I saved a lot of what I made. I lived a sustainable life style and knew the gravy train could end any day. And it did.

The problem with lottery winners and Jon and Kate is that making a lot of money real quick is no indication that things will continue that way forever. The world we live in changes every day and what was hot last year (Jon and Kate plus 8) becomes and after thought this year.

Lottery winners, and reality show participants should be required to take a class on managing your new found wealth and how to live within your means because you will become yesterday's news really fast.

Jon and Kate missed that class and for that their children will pay as will they.
I honestly don't feel sorry for any of them because there are people and children who suffer every day of their lives because they have no place to live and they don't have enough food, and their parents never won the lotto much less even played it.

Excellent post They both acted (still do) like the money would keep coming in forever. IMO, they should have looked at the statistics of what happened to people after they finished a reality series -- there aren't many who go on to have brilliant careers.

Thank you, maybe that is where Redrosesix came up with Kate having drained the bank account.

Nope -- I can't remember which link I followed but there was more elaboration on this point. There were 2 withdrawals, the $100,00 which she split with Jon (she says she used her half to pay bills) and the second withdrawal where she emptied the bank account but put it back.

So Kate won't take his calls, ...from what was said in the first show this season, Jon wouldn't talk to her either...they are both guilty of acting like 5 year olds.


JMO....I don't know that the kids will 100 % for sure need therapy due to this. Kids got through nasty divorces everyday in this world and don't need therapy.

Oh, he's replying to Kate's claims that he took the money.

He called her cries fake. He said she's got lots of money she needs to account for. He said he has proof of what he took and it was his 'salary'. He said the money came from a 'corporate' account and there is a checking and savings. He said they also have a personal account as well, both checking and savings. He said she won't get the "old Jon" back. He's gone. He won't be bullied anymore. He spoke right to the camera to Kate asking her to stop the public display (oh please) and meet with him to co-parent and work things out for the kids. He said, "What's the problem? What are you hiding?" He said he already apologized to the kids, to the public and he will apologize to Kate if she'd meet him. I am paraphrasing.

He said lots of things in a very angry manner.

She said Jon doesn't take her calls either......... he said/she said.......... they do need to grow up and start communicating........ they have EIGHT kids to raise.........unless one of them is going to bow out completely they BETTER figure out how to deal with each other on a civil and adult level.

I wasn't trashing the kids. These kids are going to need therapy when all is said and done and its their trust fund that is going to pay for it. You don't think being on television for 5 years + having your every private, intimate, terrible incident shown on national tv isn't going to affect these kids?? You don't think that other school age kids are not going to ridicule or tease these kids. "Hey Joel, I saw your 1st bowel movement in the potty the other night on tv"---and these kids aren't even considered actors!!!

ITA with all of this Having said that, both Jon and Kate have a serious cell phone addiction -- including when they are spending time with their kids.

I hope Jon continues to say he doesn't want to bring up dirt (and continues not to do it) because IMO they are both going to suffer once that starts happening. They usually do shoot the messenger in situations like this.

It does seem like it. Kate said on the Today Show that Jon goes along with whoever is next to him at the time (or something like that) and that rang true to me when she said it. I said a long, long time ago that Jon is just one of those people that needs a lot of direction. I think he is still taking direction, if he was thinking for himself he wouldn't have signed on with the sleazy lawyer. See, if you don't make your own decisions, then you think you don't have to take the blame. "Kate told me to do this and that, so I did it, it isn't my fault." - "Michael Lohan had my back, so I went with the lawyer he recommended. It isn't my fault." "TLC told me to sign some papers, so I did, it's not my fault." ect. ect......

I just happened to see ET tonite, and Jon is begging Kate to take his phone calls and meet with him.
Kate says, she is waiting for Jon to call her, but she wants the old Jon to call. It's to bad, that Kate can't accept change. Sure Jon has done some really stupid things within the last year, but he will always remain the father of her children, and she will remain the mother. They have to realize they have to set their differences aside, because if they don't a judge is going to do it for them.

Yes, someone on this thread posted earlier that Jon will just bend over and take it from the next person in line. Both of those men seek only to use Jon, IMO.

Absolutely. I see a man with no direction, an inability to make decisions. So he is following people that are only going to hurt him.

That is a good question, I would think they are only getting paid to do the magazine interviews but I have no idea.

Kate said this morning that sometimes she calls Jon 20 times a day and cannot reach him. I don't think either one of them want to talk to the other one.

She was invited to Sherri's (from the View) party tonight for her new show on Lifetime. I bet she's there having a great time!

So, I'm wondering who do you all think will file the restraining order first, Jon or Kate? That'll be next weeks news.
