Steve is the paid babysitter. It all became clear when Jon said TLC hired 24/7 protection to keep him (Jon) in line. he is there to make sure Kate doesn't melt down in public.

The nanny needs to write a book, "I Did It All Alone. Raising The Gosselin 8"

Hmmm. I guess it's Kate's turn with the kids at the house, but wait! she can't be there to take the kids to school because she is in NY being interviewed on the Today show , not to promote a book or the show or doing what she calls "her career" but being interviewed for no other reason than to bash the kids father. She left her kids with a nanny to go complain to the WORLD about their father so that in her words "when the kids look back they will see the whole truth". I'm sure they will look back and appreciate that.

I don't think Jon is "dumb" I think he is surrounding himself with people who are just out to further their own agenda... Hailey Glassman is "famous" now..... this "I just rolled out of bed" lawyer is getting coverage..... I'm sure there must be a lawyer with a better reputation that would like to take Jon's case

Is the nanny not allowed to watch tv or anything? Who's paying her? If my boss is going all over the news saying they don't have any money I think I'd be taking a sick day and looking over the help wanted ads in yesterday's paper!

I saw them filming at Sesame Place, ran into them 3 times that day. When the cameras were off there was not a smile in the bunch, not a single smile or laugh.

That is just so sad.

Kate explained that this was their "Liquid money"-money used to pay their daily living expenses.

They surely have investments -as I do also-however it takes a few days before most people can actually put their hands on Investment money.

And that is money she probably can not touch in this divorce time-right?

So I see her "terror"_she's got BILLS to pay-mortgage, gas, electricity and I'm sure $1k wont cover that.

You know I'm a little P.O.' ed at Kate's lawyers. No way, no how should there have been that much money left to either one's discretionary use during a divorce. The nanosecond Jon hooked up with another women her lawyers should have been in court making sure she was protected.

Kate is not the first, nor will she be the last t hat this happens too. luckily when I divorced we were flat broke so no need to fight about that but I've had a seperate bank account ever since. Might not be romantic but hey it bets the position Kate is now in.

Now that's not nice- maybe she doesn't do things the way you would- but she's still their Mom- she loves her kids. Just like Jon is making some really stupid moves... but he's still their Dad and he loves them...........

No it's not nice, and I didn't see the show but if she really said her kids are devastated they can't go to NY b/c they can no longer film.......it is clear she is delusional. That doesn't mean she doesn't love her kids.

They are both delusional!

Jon is still supposed to be on The Insider tonight as far as the show listing on my cable. He is supposed to be on with Nancy Grace. I wonder if it was pre-taped? Wonder if the bank issues will be addressed? Anyone know if Jon is still in California?

Maybe she needs some time to recover from the tactics of Jon's lawyer. I don't think I would be all smiles and sunshine immediately upon facing the latest developments either. Sometimes even can-do mom's need a minute to convince themselves they can.
