Here is another video that I would like to share. It has nothing to do with Jon and Kate plus all their drama. Just a little something I thought all of us would enjoy.

This was so cute! Took me a minute to realize it was real people moving around, duh! Now I'm really excited for our upcoming trip!

Putting everything aside...I think they should cancel the show. Always thought that after the divorce annoucement for sure. I know I saw several people saying it here too. Even if I'm not impressed with Jon's behavior or Kate's, I'm glad filming is being put on hold. Obviously it would have faired better if Jon had done this before all his crazy behavior but he didn't so I guess this is how it's playing out.

I'm ready for Kate's next interview now....or should I say TLC's. That was my favorite part of last night when Jon said "that sounds like a TLC response", when listening to "Kate's" reponse. Ive always thought she says everything she's suppose to say. Which isn't always bad either.

I agree with all of this. Isn't it ridiculous, they're fighting over whether or not to make the kids film for the show! It sounds insane to me. Kate should definitely err on the side of caution here and stop filming. And we all know how easy it is to get kids to agree...'Mady, didn't you love when we went on our spa get-away? Well, if we don't do the show then we can't do that again. Kids, don't you love your crooked houses? Well, if we didn't do the show, you wouldn't even have them. Kids do you love the new house?' You get the drift. So Kate saying that she regulary checks in with the kids to see if they like filming doesn't hold much water with me. I really think I'm finally seeing Kate for who she is, just plain selfish. The more I think about my own kids and how a divorce would affect them, the more I realize how awful it is that the Gosselin 8 are still on TV.

Jon is Jon. His demeanor was just like on the show. Now Kate, during her interviews, is like a robot with a script in front of her. Her answers are careful and emotionless IMO. While I still partly question Jon's motives, I believe a lot of what he said last night. What was amazing to me what how tight a hold TLC has on he and Kate. That contract must be hideous. Assigning a bodyguard to Jon to keep watch over his actions. Promising him the motorcycle if he's a good boy? TLC doesn't give a flip about J&K or their kids. They are a business and J&K (in the past) has made them tons of $. Talk about a conflict of interest there. Why would they want to stop the gravy train?

The ET and Insider segments have obviously already been taped. I wonder when he did the interviews? After Larry yesterday?

They must have Kate locked in a closet somewhere to keep her from showing up on some show somewhere. Maybe she'll break out and do a fence interview.

I would think they were taped some time this week.

As for the fence interview comment it was HILARIOUS!

Her lifestyle is MUCH more expensive now with private school for 8, a big house, cars, security, etc. I do not blame her for wanting to continue to support her family. I think he will regret this decision when the cash stops pouring in and he has to get a real job someday.

I wonder if Jon has thought that through...how do the Gosselins expect to continue with their current lifestyle if the One Million a year stops coming in. He stated $22,500 per episode. He has his NYC apt as well as all the other expenses. I remember he recently bought a $950.00 pair of shoes. Hmmm...

Anybody else wondering about the $$22,500 per episode? Seems like, while that maybe true, there is more to it. I just can't believe that is all they make per episode. We heard $75,000 and it's not even a third of that? Kate isn't stupid, she wouldn't do the show for a straight $22,500 per show. I bet they are making a percentage of the syndication. Jon and Kate shows replay alot on TLC, I bet they get a cut every time a show airs or something.

A parent should be able to figure out how to earn money to support their kids w/o relying on the kids to supply the income. Jon has made a step to earn on his own. He wants to do his own thing w/o the kids, and right now TLC won't let him. Kate wants the show to continue and the kids to continue working, but maybe she was hoping if the Paula Deen thing worked out, she could have stopped filming the kids too. She has never given that impression though. She has said over and over that the show must go on and she needs the money from it.

It was just so odd as Kate (in statements to LKL) and her atty stated that the kids were taping as late as last Friday and then as soon as TLC drops Jon from the title of the show and gives him limited exposure on the show he is coming forward to apologize for all his bad behavior and that the kids should not be doing the show......

So, should they continue the show forever? When will it be enough for them to survive? Is the show the only way they can support their family? They can cut back if they need to. Plus, there will still be cash coming in for awhile I'd guess...books, re-runs, etc. I hardly think they'll be destitute if J&K+8 (or Kate+8) stops.

I don't think people are blasting him just for going on LKL, to me, it isn't that he went on the show, it's what he said on the show. I just don't believe him.

And LKL aside, that is one thing. I don't think much of him doing all the tabloid type shows now. ET and The Insider. He complains constantly about the tabloid magazines, I don't see the tabloid shows as being much different. All he doing now is feeding the paparazzi/tabloid frenzy.

Does anyone else think that Jon looked suprised when they were reading the statement from TLC that said Kate had set up Trust accounts for the kids & was putting a substantial amount of money in it.

the law in pennsylvania is written such it will be an uphill battle for the gosselin kids to get anything after the fact. the line from tlc and BOTH gosselins has always previously been that the kids were not "acting" or "performing" and therefore exempt from child labor laws. even if they were they were'nt legaly able to do so until the age of 7-so the labor board could shut those of the kids out that have'nt reached the age of 7, but i think either parent would be hard pressed to get the labor board to turn around and require tlc to pay for what was essentialy an illegal act (tlc could get fined but the fines go to the state not to the kids).

i suspect that contract is air-tight, given the negative publicity the family received dating back to pre-divorce about weather the kids were 'working' or not, there are plenty of agencies and individuals in pennsylvania that are required to enforce these laws-including local police AND the schools. given that it's no secret that the gosselin kids were participating in this, and obviously missing school (we've seen them doing week day morning news shows outside their home state) it would be hard to fathom that the school(s) they attended/now attend, the school district they live in, and local law enforcement have'nt made the family and tlc provide documentation and the required sworn statments the state requires to show the kids are exempt from the labor laws.

i think it's also very telling that neither jon nor his lawyer made mention of the investigating pennsylvania did/may still be doing that dates back to at least june. if the state had evidence that supported jon's claims it would be a slam dunk to shut down the show-would'nt matter what either parent or tlc wanted. kids in that state under the age of 7 CANNOT work in an on going entertainment job-end of story.

just because 'the coogan law' came into being did'nt mean jackie coogan got the monies his parents mishandled, he just got a law named after him. i suspect and hope that one of the very few good things we might see out of this situation is what may come to be referred to as 'the gosselin law'-which while it could idealy protect future children will likely have little consequence (financialy) for any 'lost' earnings of the gosselin kids.

I thought that had come up, when Kate's lawyer said that the labour board had found no issues -- Jon's lawyer said that they hadn't finished their report yet.

I do agree about the non-scripted roles on the show when they were babies and toddlers but IMO that has changed since they got older ie. they could just film the babies sleeping, or doing diaper changes etc. No script necessary. But now the kids are older and have to do something to make the show interesting (maybe not scripted words, IDK, but definitely scripted actions) -- I remember reading somewhere that the tups' last birthday party took all day to film, with many, many retakes.

And it baffled me, when he said, his manager, his lawers, the Glassman's have his back, and it is the people he trusts. What happened to his mom, his brothers. Why would you trust people that you have only known for a small amount of time. Especially his lawyer-it's only been a few days that his lawyer has represented him.
Jon admitted to being niave and giving people the benefit of the doubt-nice explanation Jon to sleeping around.

That is part of the problem, Jon continues to hang with people that have zero credibility and that in turn hurts Jon's credibility, IMO. Jon seems like a little boy that doesn't know which way to turn and Lohan seems like someone that only seeks to take advantage of Jon.

The video Hailey posted is for a song by Rihanna called Take A Bow. It is about a partner that lies and cannot stay faithful and how the relationship is over.....

She probably just put it out there to create more talk, as if the situation needed that.

who knows? Hailey's tweets never seem to come across as intelligent. She should give up twitter if she wants some privacy and doesn't want to look stupid.

I see Kate doing good with a Martha Stewart type show, some cooking, decorating and home project type stuff. I think she has a great sense of humor and her sense of style has definitely improved.

So many pages in the last day!My thoughts:

I'm glad Jon got a new lawyer who obviously knows how to deal with TLC & entertainment law. If I understood him correctly: as soon as TLC cancelled Jon & Kate plus 8 & announced Kate plus 8, the other contract was null & void. Thus Jon is free to halt production on his property & stop filming of his kids. He didn't sign a contract for them to be on Kate plus 8. A regular divorce lawyer mught not have known to take advantage of this loop hole.

As far as communication breaking down between J&K: this is the woman that seems to cut people out of her life if they cross her or no longer serve a purpose to her. Do we really think it would be any different with Jon? NO! I think he's done to her.

I do not think the kids are handling the divorce well. The episode where the kids were playing with the musical instruments showed quite a bit of distress,especially for Cara. Of course, Kate just blew it off as that's just Cara. I can only imagine the pain those kids are in.

J& K both said that if 1 member of the family wanted to stop the show, then they would. Why then didn't the show stop when Jon said he wanted to? Because Kate wanted to continue, of course. I don't care if Kate does a talk show or Jon does a divorced dad show, I'm glad the kids will be out of the public eye & off TV. ( I'm betting the dad show will end up on VH1 by the way!)

I also want to comment on what we see with the kids when they are with Jon as opposed to when they're with Kate. I like that when they're with Jon they have on different outfits & seem to get to just play & have some freedom over their life. When we see pictures when they're with Kate, they must be dressed alike & seem so regulated. Maybe just different parenting styles but this just always sticks out to me. Like they can be more "normal" with Jon but must always be "camera ready" with Kate. Nice way to live.

Yup -- he did. But until recently, Jon had no idea how much money they had (still might not, if Kate hasn't provided all of the documents that were asked for), since he had no control over any of the money, bills, etc. Still doesn't -- Jon's last attorney let her petition the court to maintain control over the finances until the divorce was final without countering, and obviously didn't fight it. IMO, from what I've read, the trust accounts were a new thing that Kate did around the time she filed for divorce -- a good way to keep the money out of Jon's hands.

Do we not remember how not too long ago, Kate couldn't even pick out her clothes and had Jon shop with her? I watch alot of decorating and craft shows, Kate knows nothing.
