Why is she or her mother credible, but nothing reported about Kate in the tabloids is ever true? Only stuff about Jon is considered gospel. Kate said Jodi and Kevin only came forward for money. Maybe Steph's mom just wanted money too.

In that case, Kate's Starbucks cup is filled with wine. And she often drank a whole bottle of wine at night. Another former babysitter said that.

I wish I had a dollar for every "source" that has come forward about the Gosselin's, I would have my next trip to Disney paid for!

Every day some "friend", "former babysitter" or someone "close" to them has a story, yet the source never has a name. Or just like in the case of Kevin and Jody or Stephanie's mom they have their own agenda, which tosses all credibility out the window.

The majority of what has been printed about Jon and Kate is trash that has no validity.

I think there have been tons of negatives about Kate..way more than Jon. The biggest difference IMO between the two, is who says what about them. For Kate, it's generally (other than Kevin and Jodi, who had their own axe to grind when they weren't going to be paid to be on the show, and according to Jon they got paid) someone that has barely had anything to do with her, a neighbor that she slighted, an unnamed source, someone who worked with her, but no name is mentioned, etc. With Jon, it's often someone he's been seen with having lunch, hanging around with, had a so called affair. I think that is why his 15 minuters are more abt to be believed. There is usually some grain of truth. We know that Kate 2 was with him, we just don't really know if she was 'with' him. Same with Stephanie, and the school teacher.

What do we have with Steve? Pictures of him escorting her, but not out in bars. Pictures of his wife with her 'good friend' Kate. So which tabloid stories are more believable?

Yes, 'they' said there were texts for proof and they would come out, but isn't it a wonder no one has seen these yet?

I completely agree. Even if you don't believe the tabloid stories, we have seen pictures of Jon drinking (if not drunk), with other women (I could not imagine my kids seeing pictures of their Dad like what was taken of Jon in Vegas!). Don't you think if there were ANY pictures like this of Kate, they would have surfaced way before now?

I know some people think Jon is free to do what he wants since they are separated. IMO, I don't agree with that, since they have kids. There should be a period between Mom and Dad separating and Mom/Dad out partying and having girlfriends/boyfriends.


One thing I love about this thread, is that so many can agree without it getting ugly! And that everyone really wants the kids to be happy, that is the bottom line.

I think Jon is free to do as he wants, but not in front of the kids (and that would include pictures/stories/videos). He needs to have much more discretion, and if his celebrity status means he has to keep a low profile when dating or partying, so be it. He chose to be on TV, he still makes a lot of money from that, but more importantly his kids are going to be able to see this pictures, etc. FOREVER, thanks to the internet.

The paps may follow him everywhere, as he claims, but they're not printing any pictures of him hanging out with his male friends (we do know that he had 4 friends with him in Vegas, but those pictures must have been too boring to bother with). He could easily avoid showing up in the tabloids just by choosing a different crowd to be seen with. No sympathy from me.

I was flipping channels this morning and J & K going to Disney was on. Just for the heck of it I watched it. Boy, if that trip were taking place now there would be changes--big changes.
First, they wouldn't be driving so no use to get the u-haul trailer. Last time they stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, but not much of the room shown. This time, I'm sure Kate would demand to be in the Castle!! I'm sure most of there visit involved a guide or two, but they would require a whole team of Disney employees to cater to there every need. The mickey ears would be replaced by hats (kids choice) donated, of course. No early morning breakfast with Mickey at the Contemporary. One of the restaurants would be closed down to accomodate the Gosselin's for there character breakfast with all the park characters there. They would be the grand marshall's for all the parades. Heck, they might even shut down the whole park while they are visiting.
Hard to believe what came of this family a couple years later. Pretty sad! It was something to see Aunt Jody feed the kids dinner at her house and bring them home in time to leave for Florida. They must really miss Jody--she was good to the kids! They made it sound like Carla and the other helpers planned there vacation around them, so I don't know who paid. I can't believe they only did one episode on Disney. They could of done each park seperate and Downtown disney. Even with the ice cream incident, this was one of my favorites. This was the calm before the storm!!!

Your statements are probably true if they would do another trip about WDW. But WDW doesn't just give this kind of service away. Disney doesn't care how rich or famous you are. If you want VIP treatment, you pay for it. I'm sort of surprised Jon and Kate didn't buy into DVC, since they both loved Disney World. Before the tups came, they said they visited with Mady and Kara a few times. They did close the Studio's when Michael Jackson was there years ago for a special party (bummer, we got kicked out), but when Paul McCartney was there, we didn't even know it, until I read it here. We did look for their entourage the next day, and spotted them (just the family and we think we spotted two body guards), but they weren't being catered too. They ate in the California when another diser was there, and other than a couple of people (the guards?) stopping people from going up to them for autographs while they were eating (which he signed after diner) it didn't seem they got anything special.

Disney has famous people there all the time.

Your right, I didn't think of them being on a competing network. However, I'm sure Kate would demand all the stuff I mentioned and more and you know they would never pay for it out of their pocket.
I understand that the parks get a lot of 'celebrity visitors", but I'm sure Angeline Jolie and Brad Pitt would get the castle over the Gosselin's if push came to shove!

DVC would be beneath them now. They want free!!

Just saw Kate and Steve checking in at the Birmingham airport for their flight back home. She has been at the Women's Conference here today. She looked great and smiled when she walked by.

I think I've seen it all.

Under Jon & Kate's story .. where Kate says (about meeting Jon) she never believed in love at first sight, and beautiful Gosselin family photos flash across the screen ... there's a disclaimer that Jon's girlfriend doesn't have a Facebook page.

the site I get the ratings from usually only posts the top 25 cable shows, and then other shows (shows like Greek, Gossip Girl, sporting events, etc) as people ask for them in the blog comments. I don't think I've ever seen the Duggar's show mentioned.

The only thing we know for sure is it was not over until June when she filed for divorce. Even if they were in seperate bedrooms they were still married. If you found out Jon was cheating in Oct or Jan would you feel Kate was wrong not to sleep with him? I think he was going out drinking & coming home drunk & high which is why they were in seperate bedrooms. He admits he was going out drinking & said to Kate what are you gong to do divorce me. I have to find the time line on when that was said.

we have no idea why they were in separate bedrooms, nor do we know who instigated it. have there been reports of Jon coming home drunk and high before the tabloids caught onto the story in March?

If she had dropped everything to take Cara then she would be a bad mother for not staying to play with the 7 as she promised.

I'm not so sure about that one. I think most people expect mom to take a hurt child to the doctor.

Thanks Madge. I did check the Neilsen site and couldn't find them (Duggar's) at all. They must have a low amount of people watching..which isn't unusual for cable shows.
