Lol the precise one, eh? Did you watch the interview that was just recently posted..at the woman's meeting? She said then she had a full time sitter..and she prefered to not call her a nanny. It was Ashley, and now that Ashley is in school, it's her friend. Fulltime to me means full time..about 8 hours a day. Both her and Jon have said they have help. I don't now if they have it around the clock, but they do have help, and haven't said they don't. They have made it clear (at least to me), that the main care of the kids is Jon and Kate.

Yes, I did watch that -- finally. I'm on dial-up so downloading videos is slow.
Kate says she has a full time "sitter"? If she walks like a nanny, quacks like a nanny, possibly can act in loco parentis like a nanny because she takes Cara to the Doctor? Shoot, if she does all that and works full time she probably is a nanny!
In my book "Nanny" is not a 4 letter word. Why can't Kate admit it to a nanny? I'm sure Ashley and Ashley's friend, and that sweet Asian woman are all just darling. Why can't Kate just come clean on having a nanny?
And on the rescued pet stuff. You and I are on the same page on that. I have over 10 years on working in Domestic Violence and 25+ in animal rescue. Nothing, but nothing, surprises me any more. Can they shock me? Well yes, I'm not that hardened, all abuse is horrid and cases only get worse. We have had pets turned in in situations that make me vomit. And I've dealt with *human* abuse situations that are unspeakable.
The Gosselins possibly returning the dogs just makes me shrug. They are so typical of those average returners *because our situation has changed.* At least the dogs are apparently in good health.
Everything is relative, but experience with really horrible abuse situations will not stop me from saying that both the Gosselin's judgements seem to be very, very wrong right now.
Those poor children.
